"It’s all right, Princess. This is a normal response," Priest Elis said.

"What Priest Elis said is true, Your Highness. This ans His Majesty’s body is fighting the disease. That’s why I gave him dicine to help strengthen the immune system, so he can defeat the virus," the doctor continued.

Ariel just nodded. She had absolutely no knowledge of dicine. She only needed to trust them because they knew more about Ronan’s condition.

"But are you sure there is nothing serious about the fever? Because His Majesty said he slled sothing strange before."

"Ah, that... in so cases, a sick person can hallucinate. Usually, people who rarely get sick like His Majesty or people who are too healthy, once they are sick, their immune system is easily affected, and they start to hallucinate," the doctor replied.

"I had helped His Majesty to identify the scent. His Majesty said it slled like a breeze in the spring. I tried to bring so plant samples that grow in spring from the four season kingdom. His Majesty said that none of them reminded him of that scent. So it’s possible that what the doctor said is true if His Majesty was having a hallucination."

Arielle no longer asked. If that’s what the doctor said, then Arielle could no longer argue.

"I am relieved to hear that," Arielle replied.

As usual, Priest Elis smiled and gave Arielle so comforting words until the girl regained her composure. After giving the dicine that needed to be taken that night, the doctor and Priest Elis left the room.

Arielle bowed in gratitude when the two left. The girl turned and sat back on the bed beside the sleeping Ronan while reading a book. Sotis, she put her index finger in front of Ronan’s nose to make sure he was still breathing.

Morning had co. Arielle hugged Ronan for the last ti before William, Kael, and Lazarus moved him to the cage in the basent of the Cathedral. That man’s transformation ti was only a couple of hours away.

After Arielle put on the warst clothes, thick coat, and blanket covered his body, she felt a little relief to let Ronan get up from the bed.

"Isn’t this too much?" Ronan asked, whispering in the girl’s ear.

Arielle shook her head. "I don’t want you to get cold," she replied shortly.

Ronan wanted to kiss the girl, but he couldn’t. He didn’t want Arielle to catch his cold. Ronan tried to find another way by putting the thin cloth he took from the table, covering Arielle’s lips with it. Ronan bent his body slightly, then he kissed Arielle’s lips for quite a long ti.

Just being able to touch Arielle’s lips through the cloth was enough for Ronan. He couldn’t feel the warmth and softness of those lips, though. He wanted to recover soon from this damn fever. After recovering later, Ronan wanted to kiss Arielle’s lips as much as he wanted.

After Ronan left with his three friends, Arielle was alone in the room. Her head was throbbing in pain. If she rembered correctly, she had not slept for two nights because she had to be on guard all the ti, waiting for Ronan.

Arielle was always on alert when that man suddenly woke up. She told him to go back to sleep while stroking his head to put him at ease.

Arielle returned to Whitethorn Palace by passing through a fairly heavy snowstorm. When she arrived at her room, Arielle laid down on her bed, resting her exhausted body.

Tania ca to bring breakfast for Arielle. She could see the princess looked exhausted. Arielle took care of the king dearly, and Tania knew that. Whenever she brought food or snacks for the princess, Tania always felt sorry for Arielle because the girl looked exhausted.

"Tania? Is that you?" Arielle asked, still with her eyes closed.

Tania approached and touched Arielle’s hand while gently massaging it. "Eat your breakfast first before you rest. You also have to take care of your body from getting sick. His Majesty the King will be sad if, after he recovers, his loved ones beco sick because of taking care of him."

Arielle smiled broadly, then she nodded. Besides Ronan, Tania was soone who could calm Arielle. Tania knew Arielle well. That girl would not be able to rest until soone she cared for recovered completely.

It was the sa when Arielle took care of the rabbits or Sasha. She had never half-heartedly taken care of her loved ones, especially Ronan. Arielle would take care of that man with all her heart.

Tania brought the girl’s breakfast onto the bed, and she chose to sit beside the princess’ feet. In the North, the two couldn’t always be together as they were in the South. However, their bond would never fade. Tania could still read the girl’s mind because Arielle was like an open book.

"If your head still hurts, I’ll order soone to take dicinal herbs."

"No need, Tania. I just need to rest and sleep for a bit. I just lacked sleep."

Tania nodded in understanding and let Arielle eat her breakfast. Tania didn’t ask much, letting the serene atmosphere engulf the room. She didn’t want to disturb the girl.

After Arielle finished her breakfast, Tania grabbed the blanket and let her rest. Arielle began to close her eyes, hoping the day would change soon so she wouldn’t have to go through the cold night alone. However, waiting was indeed tiring.

It didn’t take long for Arielle to fall asleep because she was exhausted.

Ronan was back behind the bars. His breath hitched as he felt his body warm up drastically. He could feel the efforts of the priests to warm the basent so he wouldn’t get cold. He rembered it wasn’t this warm last month.

Ronan gritted his teeth, not wanting to show that his body started shivering. Strangely, his body felt warm, and he could feel sweat rolling down his back. He also wore warm clothes, a coat, and a blanket, but why was he shivering like this?

Seriously, he hated his current condition. Ronan felt utterly helpless.
