"Isn’t that Sir Lazarus?" Priest Elis asked Arielle.

"Um... I think so," answered Arielle hoping that Priest Elis wouldn’t open the door for Lazarus.

Priest Elis looked at Arielle and the door alternately. He could hear the princess let out a sigh of relief as the knocking on his room door died down.

After Arielle had been in the North for a while, this was the first ti Priest Elis had seen the girl look so uncomfortable. He didn’t know what had happened between the two of them.

However, he hoped that Lazarus would not make Arielle feel uncomfortable like this. It just so happened that King Ronan was leaving the palace, so no one could control the man. Even Kael.

Lazarus was indeed the most strange of the four pillars of Northendell. The admiral only appeared in the North once at around the sa ti every year. Usually on the eve of the king’s birthday.

Lazarus himself was famous for being a womanizer. His na was very well known throughout the North. Many won ca crying to the Cathedral, looking for Lazarus’ whereabouts.

Even though so far, no one had asked him to take responsibility after he impregnated a woman, still, it sotis made King Ronan furious. And he was the only person who could stop all the chaos made by Lazarus.

Priest Elis preferred to protect the princess’s comfort, and it was good that he didn’t bring up what had happened either.

"Your Highness, you can rest for a while. I’ll get the book I told you about," he said gently.

Arielle nodded and smiled wryly because Priest Elis was wise enough not to let Lazarus in. She lifted the painting she had just made last night.

So of the paint beca blurry from rubbing against her skirt while she was running when being chased by Lazarus earlier. Arielle also checked the side of her skirt, and sure enough, there was an elongated purple stain there.

Priest Elis returned with two thin books. The man placed it in front of the princess so that Arielle could examine it for a mont.

"This first book is a book about how Mana works in our bodies. There are pictures in it, so it will make it easier for you to understand the contents of the book." Priest Elis took another book, opening it to the first page.

He continued, "And this one is a book about what needs to be done to manage the Cathedral. Like the nas of people who are responsible for the administrative works of the Cathedral to make it easier for you to recognize them."

Arielle only briefly read so of the nas she had t, such as Priest Elis and Priest Jill.

"I’ll study it well," Arielle said as she accepted the two books from Priest Elis.

"Don’t hesitate to ask anything, Your Highness. I will be happy to assist you."

"Thank you."

Now Priest Elis’s gaze fell on the painting at the side of the girl’s body. He knew that Arielle enjoyed painting. Judging by the appearance of the painting, it looked like the Blackthorn and Whitethorn palaces.

What made Priest Elis curious to see more clearly was... the painting was not colored with the majority of white color as it was in the actual condition.

"That painting... Did you paint it yourself, Your Highness?" asked Priest Elis, pointing to the painting on Arielle’s side.

The girl grabbed the painting and placed it on the table. Priest Elis was increasingly convinced that it was the view of Northendell’s palace, looking from the fountain with several obedient little wolves surrounding it.

However, what made him frown was.... Princess Arielle painted the castle of Northendell with lots of flowers of various colors and beautiful brown earth. It was like Northendell castle in the spring season had it not covered in eternal snow.

Priest Elis could see that so of the colors had crossed out. Even so, he could still enjoy the atmosphere that Arielle presented through the painting.

"I really really wanted to give you a present, this painting. Last night, I finished this painting, intending to give it to you. It is just..." Arielle smiled when she rembered how panicked she was when being chased by Lazarus. "So things happened, and so of the paint colors that had not dried completely beca damaged."

"You intend to give a painting?" asked Priest Elis, making Arielle nod slowly.

"As a form of gratitude because you have helped so much. But I think I better fix it first."

"May I see it more clearly, Your Highness?"

Arielle pushed her painting to show Priest Elis. The man looked at the object carefully and then at her beautiful smile. He felt very touched by the warmth of the princess.

Priest Elis paid no heed to so of the small discolored spots. He was so happy to receive a gift from the princess. Arielle’s sincerity radiated so clearly from every stroke on the canvas.

"This is very beautiful, Your Highness," said priest Elis sincerely.

"Thanks, but I’ll fix it again."

The man got up, carrying the painting just now to the table near the glass window. He then placed the painting of the Palace of Northendell in spring there, standing side by side with the all-white view outside the window, Arielle’s painting added a new color to Priest Elis’ room.

"I think this is already very beautiful, Your Highness. You don’t need to fix it," said Priest Elis smiling at Arielle. The man returned to his seat and said, "Princess Arielle... You’ve been studying really hard the past few days. Thank you so much for accepting us as part of your future."

Arielle tilted her face in confusion. Priest Elis chuckled and then offered a cup of hot tea, but Arielle refused.

"I’m the lucky one to et you. You guys have been so kind to from the first day I set foot in the North. So I should be the one thanking you all for accepting with open arms. Even though I know that I have many shortcomings."
