Madeline's POV
"Madeline, I am so happy for you, and at last I've got the chance to dance and talk with you, and I could tell you are now so tired from dancing because your grandfather's friends are so eager to know his beautiful granddaughter, and I could tell those n regretted that you are already married to my handso boss," Cal said the mont he started dancing with .
I felt so happy to talk with him since he was right. I got so busy, and I didn't get the chance to speak with him. I was smiling at Cal as we slowly danced on the dance floor, and he was right; many of my grandpa's friends danced with but only for a short ti since I could tell my husband was jealous since he would co back again to imdiately before I can even answer so of there questions.
"You know that is not true, Cal; you have seen how Hunter drove those n away from ," I said, and he was laughing while shaking his head, and I could tell only Cal and grandpa danced with for a long while.
"Yeah, I couldn't believe that a day will co that Hunter Divenson will beco a jealous freak, and I could understand. He loves you more than anything in this world, Madeline; he doesn't care whoever you are." He declared.
"I know, Cal, and I am so grateful for my husband's love for ," I responded, and his face turned suddenly solemn, and he looked at in the eyes for a long while.
"Is there sothing that you wanted to ask , Calixto?" I asked when he remained silent.
"Hmm, I wonder if you wanted to stay here for good?" He asked, and I smiled at him.
"Did my husband tell you about our plan?" I inquired, but he shook his head.
"No, I am just wondering since your grandpa is already old, and I could tell your aunt is also busy running his husband's businesses." He declared.
"Yes, Cal, I wanted to settle here for good, and I think this is the best place where we can start a new life. I love Archois, but you know many painful mories happened to over there that I wanted to forget." I said, and he smiled at .
"Of course, Madeline, that would be a good choice for you and Hunter," Cal responded, and I gave him a sweet smile.
"I am going to miss you for sure." He said.
"Don't worry, Cal, I will find ti to visit Archois from ti to ti," I said, and he bead at .
"I will be looking forward to seeing you from ti to ti, Madeline, and I am so glad that you are alive; you just don't know what happened to all of us; after we all thought you were gone, your husband almost jumped from the chopper that day just to find you, and I am just glad Roman was there with since I couldn't tackle Hunter alone," Cal responded.
"You know your husband is stronger than us, but that ti he was so worried about you and disoriented that is why we were able to secure him before he could get himself killed." He added, and I could feel the goosebumps on my skin as I realized I almost lost my husband because of .
"Thank you so much, Cal, for saving my husband that day. I never knew that I had almost lost him. Noah and Karen helped a lot, and without them, I know I would never survive; I don't know about life on the water, and I haven't ridden a boat before. And I would be grateful if you could contact them, Cal, the mont we will return to Archois. I wanted to show them my gratitude." I declared, and he smiled at .
"Of course, but I heard from your grandpa's butler; they already take good care of them." He said, and I raised my eyebrows.
"They did?" I asked in disbelief since no one told about what happened to Noah and Karen.
"Yeah, and Hunter also compensated them even if they ca late; after you made a call, they looked for Hunter since you asked them to look for your husband." He replied, and I beca more shocked and wondered why no one even told about them.
"Cal, I think you need to give my wife ti to rest since she is pregnant." I heard my husband's voice, and Cal was beaming at .
"Of course, Mr. Divenson." He said, and he handed to my husband.
"My sweet, you need to rest." He said, and I could feel his worries, and I nodded at him, and together we returned to our table, I suddenly felt so hungry, and I knew my baby was making so hungry from ti to ti.
Hunter got so food, and I was eating my food heartily, and he was looking at with amusent on his face.
" Why are you looking at like that, Hunter?" I asked, and he was grinning at .
"I just love the way you devour your food, my sweet, and I think I beca more in love with you now that you gain more weight." He declared, and I pouted my lips at him.
"I am aware that you are only saying that so I will not feel bad about my figure," I said.
"Madeline, I love you, and it will never change even if your weight will double." He said, and I laughed while he was kissing my knuckles.
"Are you sure about that, Hunter?"
"Of course, Madeline." He said, and his intense gaze made feel I had butterflies on my chest, and I was smiling at him from ear to ear.
The ball ended, and I could tell everyone had fun; I stood up from our table, and Hunter assisted as I walked towards my grandfather.
"Hey, did you enjoy tonight, Madeline?" He asked the mont I stood beside him while my husband joined his parents and siblings, grandpa took my hand, and we sat on the nearest chairs.
"I enjoyed the ball, grandpa; thank you so much for holding such a party; you knew I grew from a world different from yours," I said as I tried to contain my emotions.
"I wanted you to get used to it, Madeline, because whether you like it or not, that will beco your life from now on. And believe , you will enjoy it because I could see you have the sa experience with your grandmother." My grandpa responded.
"When I married her, she knew nothing about my world, but because she loves , she was able to embrace it with all her heart, and I could say my beloved wife loved her life from that mont on, even if my wife experienced hardships your grandma never once tell about it because she wanted to be proud of her." He added, and I could see the love he has for my grandma.
"You have more experience than her, Maddie, since you married a wealthy man, and the things you will find here in my estate will no longer faze you." He continued.
"But you don't need to worry about anything, my dear, because I know that your husband will be there every step of the way, giving you all the support you need. And I am so happy that Hunter is your husband, and I could tell he is so in love with you, and he cares so much about your well-being, and I can tell that he will be a good father to your children, and he can be a great grandpa to your grandchildren." He declared.
I smiled at my grandpa, and I felt so happy now that everything was in place, and even if I dread the impossible thing, it still happened. Right now, I have a family I can call my own, who could have thought I was the granddaughter of this wealthy man sitting beside , and I couldn't thank God enough for giving everything more than I needed in my life.
After staying more than a month in my grandpa's castle, I needed to go back to Archois. I wouldn't say I like the feeling of saying goodbye to my aunt and grandfather, and it feels like my heart was aching as I walked beside my husband.
When we descended the stairs, I could see everyone was already waiting for us, and I searched the entire place for my grandfather; and when I saw him, I couldn't contain the smile that spreads across my face, and I felt so thankful this ti he is ready to send us off. He stood up from the sofa when he saw coming into him, and I could see the sadness behind his smiles.
"Grandpa, I want you to co with us." I blurted out, and he ruffled my hair like I was a child.
"You know that I can't, Madeline. I am needed here, and that is why I want to ask you to co
back right away after you settle everything in Archois." He said, and I nodded my head.
"Of course, grandpa, we will co back the soonest possible ti. I wanted to give birth to my child here." I said, and I could see the gratification on his face.
"That would be so lovely, Madeline. I couldn't wait to see my great-grandchild." He responded.
"Goodbye, for now, grandpa. I promised to be back sooner," I said, and he smiled at .
"Thank you, Madeline. I will be looking for that day." He responded, and then he walked with through the main door. Hunter's entire family, including my friends, bid farewell to my grandfather, and as I boarded our family helicopter, I couldn't stop myself from crying. Hunter was holding my hands after he helped sit on my seat, and I put my head on his shoulder as I continued to sob, and I never expected that I would beco this emotional.
"Madeline, don't worry, I promised you, we will go back to your grandpa's estate sooner than later." My husband said, and his words comforted , and I am not happy that Hunter chose to leave his family. The business he loved so much and abandoned the place where he grew up to be with on foreign land, and I felt grateful for his choice.
I couldn't be happier to have our new life in Neospoli, and I was hoping the odds would be with us.. There would be no more big troubles that may co our way, and I felt lucky to be surrounded by my husband's family and friends, and most of all to be with the man I can't live without, the only man I love, Hunter Divenson.
