Arcabous was seemingly sad always ever since Debisa left the world. The dragon who was usually calr than Debisa was now a fierce one. Arcabous got angry very easily. To be said, the dragon was pissed off very easily and pounced on anyone without any valid reason. Only when Cedric was around, he acted obediently towards his master.

Ayra stepped next to the pool. Arcabous was laying on its head on the ground. It was unresponsive towards any of the maid’s responses. There were more than ten servants who were in charge of feeding this magnificent beast. However, Arcabous was totally unresponsive to their coaxing. Once they saw the queen, they bowed respectively.

Ayra only nodded slightly in return. Afterwards her attention shifted on Arcabous who was silently lying. She took her step towards the giant dragon, slowly and cautiously. The maids said in alarm, their voices dripping with fear and concern,

" My lady... don’t please..He..he isn’t in right mind. Why don’t you let us handle it?"

Ayra gave them an assuring look and replied with a sigh,

" If I can’t control our own dragons, how am I the queen?"

The maids were silent after her response ca out. It was indeed true that she didn’t do anything remarkable to represent herself as the queen. It was because it was hard for her to accept Cedric as her husband. Now that their relationship is finally warming up, she is learning things slowly. To beco the queen, conquering a dragon was mandatory.

Ayra went close to the dragon, so close until she was standing in front of his eyes. She began to speak slowly to Arcabous, drawing his attention to her,

" Arcabous.. please..eat sothing...will you eat from my hands? Should I feed you?"

Arcabous gave no response. Ayra pushed it further as she grabbed a piece of at from the maid. Stepping in front of Arcabous, she coaxed the dragon to eat again,

" Please have it...Your master will be back soon...I promise..."

This ti, a growl ca as a response from the dragon. Arcabous lifted his head to see Ayra again. His whole aura changed to a frightening one. From being the calm one, he watched Ayra as a threat and challenge. His mouth opened wide to show his long cannies. The lava bubbled at the back of his throat as if they were struggling to co out.

For a spit of mont, Ayra thought that he was going to burn her into ashes. She squeezed her fists together but didn’t back away. However, the maids saw the anger inside Arcabous. They couldn’t understand why he hated the queen. But they began to shout together, trying to pull back Ayra,

" My lady! Get back! He is angry! My lady.."

Ayra didn’t move from her spot. She believed that Arcabous had done everything right. After all, she was the reason that Debisa had died. Ayra tried to speak, her eyes tearing up in emotions,

" Arcabous.. listen to ...I..."

Arcabous didn’t give her the chance to speak. Using his giant gray head, he pushed her away with little force. But a little force from the dragon was a huge impact for the creatures like her. Ayra was pushed down on the ground with a yelp. A part of her neck was torn apart as it started bleeding.

She held the side of her dress and wailed in pain. The maids shouted in panic, attempted to approach her,

" My Lady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ayra held her hand up to stop them. She breathed frequently to stutter in pain,

" I am fine...let..him.. relive his anger..."

She said and raised her head to stare at Arcabous stubbornly. She really wanted Arcabous to vent out his rage fully. She made Debisa get killed. Now watching Arcabous suffer, she felt more guilty in her heart.

Arcabous only snarled further. When it saw the determined look on Ayra’s face, he opened his mouth wide to let out growls of anger. Afterwards, he turned around to leave the castle and flew up to the sky. What he didn’t expect was as soon as he attempted to leave, Ayra jumped on its back to sit on him.

In response, Arcabous let out a killing groan. He sensed Ayra but refused to let her ride him. Twisting its head back, he tried to eat Ayra but failed because of the angle. Ayra held onto its back stubbornly. Arcabous flew up in the sky while seething in anger.

The maids shouted and scread, begging the dragon to stop and drop the queen. But nothing was heard as Arcabous had already gone into the sky with Ayra on his back.

Ayra didn’t care about her own wound. She kept trying to talk, patting on its big head,

" Arcabous... listen to ..your anger won’t bring back Debisa! If you hurt yourself, who will look after your master? I believe that you don’t want him to suffer. You can hate but please don’t leave him behind.."

Arcabous only snarled in response but this ti, it sounded less animalistic. Ayra understood that the dragon could understand her words and emotions. She gritted her teeth together and continued to speak even though her neck was hurting,

" Fine! If you don’t accept my apology.. just drop off from your back! I won’t even try to fly.. only if it satisfies you, drop off!"

Ayra wasn’t really prepared for this. The following mont, Arcabous rolled its body and let her slip out from its back. A piercing scream ca from her mouth as soon as she began to fall from the sky. But she kept her promise and didn’t use her wings.

With a loud bang, she fell deep into a dark unknown forest. Because of her good stamina as a vampire, she didn’t hurt her back that much. However, her heart was in pain to think that Arcabous didn’t forgive her. When she attempted to stand on her feet, a voice heard from her back that sent shivers to her spine,

" You are ho finally, sweet!!"
