Jasmine sat in front of the big dresser without a smile on her face. A maid was braiding her long silky hairs carefully. Even the attitude of the maids had changed since last night. Oscar made love to her last night passionately. Even though he was drunk, he kept claiming that he had loved her more than anyone else. In fact, he said that he would ntion her child to his father so that he could take back the disown tag from Oscar.
For so reason, she didn’t feel happy in her heart. Though everything was falling into places, she couldn’t find the happiness that she was looking for. There was a sting in her heart whenever she thought about the words that Ralph said to her. Subconsciously, her eyes searched for Ralph but the demon king didn’t co for her. It was because he made a promise to her that he would co only after her heart had taken the decision.
The news of Oscar spending the night with Jasmine was all over the castle already. The village maids were usually very gossipy. So, it flew all over very fast. They thought that the couple had reconciled and it was a matter of rage that Oscar had gone to marry soone else.
" You can leave!!"
Jasmine dismissed the maid as she wasn’t in the mood to make her hair. The maid left after bowing to her, leaving her alone with her tangled thoughts.
" Mommy!!"
Little Isabella’s voice caught her attention and was on the doorway with a doll in her arms. Jasmine felt relieved to see her daughter. She gave her a big smile and rembered that she didn’t give her daughters much attention for a long ti. Her ignorance beca so obvious that her daughters stopped coming to her. Jasmine opened her arms to welco Little Isabella,
" Baby Girl! Co here! Why are you standing there?"
Little Isabella was happy to see her mother finally smiling at her. She wasn’t as hard as Jessica. So, she forgot all the objections that she had for her mother and ran to her arms. Jasmine kissed on her cheeks first then went to let her sit on her lap. Jasmine played with her then asked pointing at the doll who was wearing a wedding gown,
" Is this our little Isabella? Is she getting married?Hmm?"
Little Isabella giggled in her mother’s lap and said in her baby voice,
" Yes, Mommy! Daddy said that I will be a princess soon. Then I will have to marry a prince. Isn’t it, Mommy? Will I really really marry a prince?"
Jasmine was suddenly silent with thoughts. Little Isabella’s dream reminded her again about the consequences of her decision. If Oscar couldn’t beco the king, there was no chance that Isabella would be the Royal Princess anymore. Her daughters wouldn’t have the royal tag. Perhaps they wouldn’t get the chance to marry a prince as well.
How could she ruin their future for her own selfish desire?
Jasmine’s eyes blurred with tears. She hugged little Isabella tightly before telling in a determined voice,
" Yes,baby! You will definitely beco a princess and will marry a prince."
Little Isabella heard her mother and clapped her hands together happily. Afterwards, she jumped down from her lap to go over to her little sister to tell that they were going to be a princess soon.
When the late night ca, Jasmine couldn’t sleep on her bed at all. She stood by the giant window sight that had the best view of the moon with the ocean. As she was lost in her own thoughts, she missed the sound of boots tapping. Oscar ca from behind and kissed her shoulders to be noticed by her.
Jasmine jerked before turning her head around to stare at his handso face. But she didn’t smile big to him like before. She heard Oscar telling in a deep voice,
" I am going to tell my father that we are going to have a son tonight, dear. I hope, he will give up on his ridiculous thoughts of disowning ."
Jasmine nodded her head blankly before asking with an expectant voice,
" So...are you accepting this child as your heir finally?"
Oscar let out a long sigh. He replied tapping on her shoulders,
" I an, we don’t have any choice! But I want to beco the ruler and see my peasants in peace. That’s the only thing for . Don’t worry about my asking. As long as he can be my legacy, nothing else will matter, okay?"
Jasmine didn’t feel quite happy with his words but she nodded her head with a fake smile anyway. The most important fact was that her husband was finally back to his old self. However, Jasmine didn’t know that a fading love could never co back.
That night, Oscar left for father’s kingdom as he said to convince him. Jasmine waited until his dragon left the sky over and walked in front of the Demon realm’s portal. Her heart shuddered in unknown fear, tension and pain. Finally, she took a deep breath before ordering the portal to open.
With her few steps into the portal, she travelled straight into Ralph’s room. At that ti, the demon king was drinking liquor. He kept his words and didn’t peer at Jasmine’s life for the two days at all. He knew that if he tried to see her, he would be wishing to et her crazily. To burn his anxious heart, he kept drinking liquor a lot for a while.
Jasmine narrowed her eyes at him. She never saw him drinking in the last few months that they spent together. She called him aloud to get his attention,
" Demon King!!"
Ralph was surprised by her sudden voice. His dark eyes lit up like the brightest stars in the sky. He put everything behind to welco her with a big smile,
" Jasmine!! You are finally back!! You are...back for !! I can’t believe that.."
