Butler opened his mouth to say sothing. Before he could say anything, Jessie had already raised herself from the chair. Her features appeared gloomy and lost yet she pulled on a straight face in front of Shanz. Bowing her head at him longingly, she blurted firmly, her eyes tearing up,

" I am sorry, Your Highness! I should have paid attention to the work rather than my food."

She left the food untouched and got out of the table to do the work that he ntioned just now. When Shanz looked back at the food on her plates, a guilty expression took over his face. He rubbed his own forehead annoyingly. Maybe, he was too harsh on him but what was the point of doing all this shit to him just because he wanted her to care for him?

After Jessie had gone into the direction of the kitchen store, the butler began to say sadly,

" Your Highness! You shouldn’t have asked her to do this work. She was already in...."

" BUTLER!!!", ca the sudden voice from Kenneth who just arrived at the Castle with a basket. Her eyes turned nervous to realize what this stupid butler was going to say about Jessie here. Since Shanz had no family mbers in the castle nor the close ones, she thought that her lie was going to work here longer. However, she didn’t expect this butler to be so noisy. Coming forward, she glared at the butler to say sternly,

" Heat this soup for his highness. My mother especially prepared for him."

Without a word, the butler received the basket and left them alone in the dinning room. Kenneth with a big smile took the chair beside Shanz to say joyfully,

" Finally! You are looking fine now. I am so glad for you, Your Highness!"

Shanz exhaled heavily, a little annoyed as he didn’t like her unexpected arrivals at the castle. However, his focus was stuck on a certain soone who had gone out already.

Outside of the Castle, Jessie was fixing the horse reins to get on it. Her expression was enough to tell how angry she was at the mont. The guards exchanged suspicious glances among each other. According to them, this job was done by the maids naturally. In the case of an ergency, the guards took the charge of bringing the woods here. However, watching a princess going out to collect so woods didn’t feel good in eyes. One of them approached to help out of kindness,

" Princess! Why don’t I take your place? You can just wait here.."

" BACK OFF!!", Jessie cut him off furiously, getting on the back of the horse. Her eyes kept growing in rage. She never thought that she would receive this prize for saving that asshole. It felt as though all her efforts ant nothing to him. In his eyes, she was always the person who abandoned him a couple of years ago.

The guards didn’t dare to approach again and watched helplessly how efficiently she rode the horse. Letting out a shrill cry, the horse sped off in the direction of a dark forest far away from the castle.

For an entire day, Jessie didn’t co back. The whole day passed and it was already in the evening when the weather suddenly changed. The sky was growling from the west as a signal of rain. Wild winds were slowly taking their charge over nature.

Jessie who had collected more than necessary woods still didn’t stop doing her assigned work. Her bruises were opened again. It was painful all over her body but she didn’t stop because of her rage and pain. She wanted to punish herself for being so stupid to save Shanz.

When she picked up the last bundle of woods, the sky made a thunderous sound, startling her as she almost fell the woods on the ground. Jessie looked up at the sky to find that it was indeed cloudy. If she didn’t return on ti, she would be getting drenched like a crow in this forest. Just when she had begun to approach her red horse, she sensed that multiple pairs of eyes were watching on her from sowhere.

She whipped her head back at once to confirm her suspension. It was still there. From the dark forest, a pair of eyes began to appear one after another, turning into many. Confused about the creatures, Jessie took a step back to avoid any harm. She wasn’t afraid but it was always a wise step to be extra careful.

Almost ten pairs of eyes appeared from the darkness in a row. After a short while, the first pair of eyes finally stepped out of the darkness. It was a blank Chitah but with a big pair of cannies more like a wolf. Jessie furrowed hard at the group of shifters. She spat with a tight frown,

" What do you want from ?"

anwhile in the castle, Shanz couldn’t stop thinking about Jessie who was out in this rough weather. For the past few years, Kenneth did everything to distract his mind but she could also feel that Shanz was restless about sothing.

Lastly, she chose a historical book to read for him in this hope that he would be impressed. Kenneth waved the book excitedly, raising her legs together over his desk so that her attractive legs could seduce him easily. At the sa ti, she intentionally only had a black panty underneath her skirt so that it could be noticed easily. Humming sweetly, she flipped through the pages to find a proper topic to read.

Right at the exact mont, a maid knocked on Shanz’s study. As Kenneth was going through the topics, Shanz went forward to open the door. He frowned hard to see the maid with a dicine bowl,

" What is this?"

The maid looked nervous. She stamred blinking innocently,

" That...Your Highness... Princess Jessie isn’t here. She forgot to deliver you the herb for your second dose of dicine. I brought it out of her room personally. She might co late."

Shanz’s heart shook at the maid’s words. He blurted holding his breath tightly,

" What.. what do you an? Why will.. Jessie has these herbs?"
