The slap sounded unexpectedly loud as if Jessi had used all her strength to slap the man in front of her. However, the slap didn’t change any of his facial expression as he continued to stare at the girl whom he saw crying after years. Until today, she acted all proud and arrogant after the break up. For the very first ti, he saw her crying with his own eyes. The feeling was undefinable.
Again, he was the reason behind her sorrow and remorse....
The sound of her sobbing made the turbulence in his heart worse. Jessie looked up at him hatefully and blurted through her choking tears,
" This.. kiss.. doesn’t change anything...It doesn’t fucking change anything that you did to , SHANZ!!"
Jessie continued to pant slowly. Taking a pause between her words, she continued in a deadly whisper,
" Do you know why those ministers are better than you? Because they never..ever used like you did..THEY DIDN’T HYPNOTIZE TO KILL MY OWN FAMILY LIKE YOU DID!! I NEARLY KILLED MY BROTHER, MY SISTER!! ALL BECAUSE OF YOU!"
She scread the last parts of her words with wailings. The tears gathered in her eyes continued to wet the costly carpet underneath. Her emotions erupted today, making it difficult to hold back the frustration that she kept hiding for a long ti.
Shanz had nothing to retort since he knew that he broke her heart beyond repair. No matter what he did, it was never going to be the sa. When he continued pondering over his own thoughts, Jessie just laughed out loud before started speaking again,
" I gave you my heart, my soul and everything..I never knew what it would feel like to be in love..You taught and you broke too..Tell , Prince Shanz! What gives you the right to kiss ?"
Jessie continued choking on her words, smiling with her tears like a broken shell,
" I get it..you hate my family, my sister.. What about ? You could have just asked to leave but why did you use like a weapon against my family? I was such a fool to think that my brother was lying about you to !!"
Back then, Cedric warned her many tis that Shanz was probably using her. But she was so blind in his love that she didn’t see it coming even hated Cedric more for being the third wheel in her relationship.
Jessie wiped the silent tears stubbornly, rumbled her words out again,
" So, if you kiss one hundred tis, nothing is going to change my hatred for you!!!!"
The last part cut him deep as he stared at her unblinking. As if an eternity had passed and he forgot how to speak, his voice broke the tense atmosphere,
" So it matters to you more than anything else..You don’t care about the love that we shared? You saw my one mistake but what about the good days that we had together? I never cheated you..never hurt you.. Nothing matters, right?"
Jessie retorted sharply, curling her lips up into a smile,
" Mistakes and being deliberate are too different things. Yes, nothing matters to not even your so-called love."
Shanz blinked the tears away in his eyes. To be honest, she was the only girl who he loved in his whole damn life. After the painful split between his father and mother, he grew up as a lonely cold child until he t this girl in his very own castle. When he thought that she was going to ignore his existence like others, that girl began to appear more and more in his life. She hunted with him together and they both spent a lot of ti together until they beca best friends. That day, he realized his feelings when she expressed how badly she wanted to kiss the other guy. She claid that he was more handso, domineering just like her type. He kissed her that day by force just to prove that he was her type.
Their love blood from that kiss and they beca secret lovers. He had his experience of having the ability of hypnotism with Jessie first. She was so thrilled to know about his hidden powers.
Who would have thought that this power was going to be the biggest reason behind their separation?
Years after when he heard that she didn’t care about his love, he had a similar feeling on that day when his mother abandoned him in this castle. Shanz’s eyes fell on the knife behind. Without arguing anymore, he extended his one arm to grab the knife. When Jessie remained confused, he stuffed the knife in her hand and directed it straight to his chest. He shouted in a cold voice, forcing the knife on his chest,
" Do it!! Let’s end this hatred,Jess! Kill ! Kill your culprit!! JUST KILL !!"
Jessie panicked, trembling in fear to see the sharpness of that knife,
" Shanz! Don’t be mad! You will get hurt! Let..let it go.. Please.."
Shanz didn’t let go of her hands. Instead, he held it tighter to press against his chest. He kept repeating his words in a broken voice,
" I have died long back. Using this knife wouldn’t change anything..so Kill , Jess! It will make you happy! I know! We both can be free from grudges!"
Jessie kept panting, tears welling up her eyes as she fought to break free from his grasp,
" I..I..I can’t...My brother will kill you..LET GO!! Shanz!! Please....."
The more she struggled, the more he forced it deeper into his chest through her hand. After a short while of struggling, the knife unexpectedly went deeper into his skin... hitting the heart that had been frozen from the ti she left him..
