97: Chapter 97 Glitching is Part of the Ga 97: Chapter 97 Glitching is Part of the Ga Now, there was a problem.

How to dispose of the corpse after a murder?

And it was her own corpse.

Li Mumu held her own head in her hands, hesitating.

A normal person, of course, couldn’t possibly twist off another person’s head from their neck with their bare hands.

The martial arts blow she had been planning for a long ti had only managed to tear open the other’s throat and carotid artery.

The school’s martial arts instructor certainly wouldn’t teach such a vicious killing technique, but fortunately, the security guard at the school gate was a retired king of soldiers.

He was the kind of good person who could lay down his butcher knife and instantly “Becoming a Buddha”.

After three years of apprenticeship, Li Mumu had learned quite a few things.

Then, while searching the body, she found a surgical knife.

It was the sa knife she had held in her hands the night before.

In the Real World, this surgical knife in Wendy’s hands was specifically prepared as a Sacrificial Knife for the Spirit Possession Ceremony.

Considering that stabbing so many tis in the Real World would result in a lot of blood, which would dirty the floor and be difficult to clean, Wendy took it upon herself to move the sacrificial altar to Dreamland.

She was completely unaware, or perhaps didn’t care much, about the risks of doing so.

As a result, Li Mumu, who had crossed over, sat up and snatched the surgical knife, slitting the throat on the spot.

Normally, everything in Dreamland would vanish along with the waking from the dream.

But now, the surgical knife had been brought back to Li Mumu by the Nightmare.

This was the evidence of her personally murdering her friend.

Evidence or not, it was a good thing if it could drop equipnt.

Li Mumu had a cautious nature, to prevent the corpse from transforming – she was all too familiar with the dog planner’s routine of scaring players.

So, without hesitation, she chopped off her own head…

sorry, the head of the corpse that looked exactly like her.

But this still didn’t solve the problem of the corpse’s existence itself.

It seed like it wasn’t going to just obediently disappear.

If only it could disappear as it did last night, with the waking from the dream.

But Li Mumu didn’t know enough about the world she was currently in to know what the situation was like.

Better safe than sorry.

What if the corpse was left here and soone picked it up and did sothing indescribable while it was still warm?

The thought was nauseating.

What to do then?

Find a place to hide it?

Or bury it?

It was so annoying not to even have a backpack space.

[You suddenly rember that by accepting the blessing of the Yellowstone Throne, you can have your own “Territory.” Common sense tells you that it’s likely a Hell Fragnt, which is quite suitable for burying bones and hiding corpses.]

…Let’s talk about that later.

One surely can’t just give their soul away to a Demon so easily for the sake of a single corpse.

The library wasn’t a good place to hide a corpse, mainly because she wasn’t familiar with the space here.

It wasn’t like she could just throw the books off the shelf and place the corpse there, right?

With Wendy not yet arrived and no one around to discuss matters with, Li Mumu, after much hesitation, decided to shoulder the corpse and go out for a walk.

Maybe she could find her way back ho relying on her mory.

If the map outside hadn’t randomly refreshed, that is.

The corpse was lighter than she had imagined, roughly the weight of a Labrador when hoisted on her shoulder.

Of course, that was just a figure of speech; how could such an elegant and reserved good girl like herself stoop to stealing soone else’s dog?

A person only has two hands.

Li Mumu now needed to carry a knife, a head, and a hand-held kerosene lamp.

Not having backpack space was really inconvenient.

Li Mumu attempted to hold the corpse with one hand and grab other things with the other, but unexpectedly slipped and fell to the ground, nearly knocking over the kerosene lamp.

Fortunately, she was quick to react, catching the kerosene lamp at the critical mont and preventing the oil from spilling out.

That was close, she almost set the library on fire.

Regaining her senses, she suddenly froze.

The corpse on her shoulder was gone!

Li Mumu looked at the two new hands that had grown beneath her own, her face a picture of confusion.

What the…

Glitch in the matrix, sis!

Get out of there!

Li Mumu felt so uncomfortable at that mont, she almost wanted to slice herself open on the spot to see if she could pull anything out from within.

She took a deep breath and ramd herself against the wall a couple of tis to no avail.

The body had vanished into thin air, leaving only the odd pair of hands that had sprouted.

They could even be used normally without the slightest bit of stiffness or hindrance.

[You recall the most pressing desire in the depth of your subconscious just now]

[First, handle the corpse.]

[Second, not enough hands.]

Is this how the problem is solved?

That’s just brilliant!

Brilliant my ass!

Li Mumu covered her face with her four hands and sighed deeply.

What on earth is happening in this world?

Once she cald down, she subconsciously looked down at the head on the ground.

If this is the ga’s rule of this world…

[You have a bold idea]

No, I don’t!

Li Mumu picked up the head and, gritting her teeth, tapped it gently against her own forehead.

No response.

She placed it on her shoulder and twisted it around.

No response.

Could it be that it also needs to be cuddled and lifted high?

No, think calmly, what’s the problem here.

[You realize that you don’t have an urgent need for this head]

[You don’t know what use this thing could possibly have]

[You start to think]

Li Mumu gazed silently at the head whose eyes had already lost their luster.

She had seen her own corpse more than once in the past.

Testing gas or venturing into dungeons to fight bosses—who hasn’t died hundreds or thousands of tis?

The moral bottom line of gars is always flexible and variable.

If the ga doesn’t design a corpse respawn chanism, players surely won’t mind using their own corpses as shields, for potion crafting, or even taking them ho for decoration…

So cyber nuts love to collect prosthetic bodies and even sleep in morgues.

In latter-day virtual reality gas, for the sake of the players’ ntal well-being—or perhaps to dodge the righteous hand of the competition—corpses aren’t usually modeled too realistically, or are simply replaced with sandbags or dog tags or sothing of the sort.

Thinking back now, it seems this is the first ti she has observed her own dead face from such close quarters, so clear and so real.

Turns out I died quite gracefully!

Li Mumu propped the head against the wall, her gaze moving to the flickering oil lamp beside her.

There were two Li Mumus, one alive and one dead.

But there was only one surgical knife, just as there was only one oil lamp.

So, could it be said that when that SOB ca knocking, it didn’t require light?

“I need a pair of black eyes that can see through darkness in the dark!”

Li Mumu averted her gaze from the head and murmured to herself, “Explode with so more Gold Coins, c’mon, Li Mumu Number Two!”

She threw back her head, charging up her energy, and then slamd her forehead against it fiercely.

There was a muffled clunk.

Li Mumu opened her eyes to see an idiot rolling on the ground, hugging their head and sobbing in pain.

And she, she had tumbled to the side.

The eyes were there, but the head was still in place.
