Nadia Willow sized Rory Linden up from head to toe, then slowly asked, "If I told you, would you believe ?"

Nadia Willow tilted her head to look out the window.
It was as if she was reminiscing about sothing from long ago.
Rory Linden wasn’t surprised.
She had heard rumors about Sean Harrison being bullied.
Outside, the night was pitch-black.
The lights in the hospital room were on, and the window reflected the scene inside.
Nadia Willow watched Rory Linden’s expression in the reflection before turning back to her.
"The only thing I can tell you is that the Sean Harrison you saw before was fake. The one you just saw is the real him."

Nadia Willow closed her eyes, as if to rest.
Unwilling to give up, Rory Linden asked again, "Had you taken any kind of drug when the incident happened?"

The sound of frantic running echoed from the hallway.
Soon, the door burst open.
A woman rushed into the room, and upon seeing Rory Linden standing by the bed, she imdiately threw her arms around her.
"Darling, I’m so glad you’re okay, I’m so glad you’re okay! The call from the hospital scared to death."
Rory Linden was startled.
She hurriedly pushed the woman away and explained, "Ma’am, I’m not Nadia Willow."
"Mom."
Nadia Willow was so angry she wanted to scream.
But due to her physical condition, her voice ca out weak and soft.
Only then did the woman look at the hospital bed, see her own daughter, and then look back at Rory Linden.
Her expression beca unreadable.
She opened her mouth as if to say sothing but didn’t seem to know what to say.
Nadia Willow truly hadn’t expected her own mother to mistake her for soone else!
She could tell what her mother wanted to ask and introduced them with a sigh of resignation, "This is Sean’s girlfriend, Rory Linden."
"Sean has a girlfriend?!"
The woman’s expression soured.
Rory Linden felt a bit awkward as well.
Nadia Willow nodded.
The woman looked Rory Linden up and down, then glanced back at Nadia and muttered, "Where on earth did Sean find a girlfriend who looks so much like you?"
Nothing more needed to be said; the implication was perfectly clear.
Nadia Willow’s lips curved into a slight smile. "Mom, you should go out for a bit. I still have a few things to say to Miss Linden."
Nadia’s mother left, closing the door behind her.
The two of them were left alone in the now-silent hospital room.
An inexplicable sense of foreboding rose in Rory Linden’s heart.
Nadia Willow looked at her and said, "Miss Linden, you may not like that side of Sean, but I do. I don’t just like him, I love him. I’ve been in love with him for many years."
"I never said I don’t like that side of Sean Harrison. I like Sean Harrison for who he is. I accept every part of him."
Rory Linden stated her position.
As she said those words, she suspected she was a complete lovesick fool.
As a good, law-abiding citizen...
...she had seen the man she loved possibly commit a cri, yet her first thought was to help him...
Nadia Willow acted as if she hadn’t heard her and continued, "My studio is filled with security caras. Everything Sean did to tonight was recorded. And yes, I have that drug you were worried about in my system. I believe it’s called ’obedience water.’"

Rory Linden was stunned!
"The doctor just collected a sample of my stomach contents. All it takes is a lab test to find out what’s in it. If I give the video and this evidence to the police, even if he’s one of the richest n alive, he won’t escape prison ti."
Nadia Willow spoke very slowly, her voice sounding extrely weak.
Deep down, Rory Linden still felt that Sean Harrison wouldn’t do such a thing.
Even if he didn’t cherish his current life, he should still want to live it properly.
There was absolutely no reason for him to break the law.
She replayed Nadia’s words in her mind and suddenly asked, "You an, you drank the drug yourself, didn’t you?"
Nadia Willow looked up at Rory Linden, an undisguised look of surprise on her face.
It was unclear if she was surprised by her wild guess or her reaction.
The fact was, Rory Linden had guessed correctly.
"As expected of a top student, Miss Linden. You certainly have a vivid imagination." Nadia Willow took a deep, labored breath. "Sean did all of this himself. If you hadn’t co, I’m afraid I’d be a corpse by now."
"What are you trying to say?"
Rory Linden really had just been making a wild guess.
Because she wasn’t sure how well she really knew Sean Harrison.
Maybe she really...
...didn’t know him at all.
"I’m telling you that I hold the evidence to send him to prison at any mont. But I don’t want to do that." Nadia Willow smiled. "As for what I want, you’ll find out soon enough."
"What do you want?"
Rory Linden’s expression froze.
"I love Sean Harrison. Even if I have to be ruthless, I will take the position of Mrs. Harrison." Nadia Willow looked at Rory Linden. "And you should be well aware that you can’t do anything for him. You’ll only be a burden."
"That’s not true."
Rory Linden’s reply was sharp.
Even though she knew her status probably couldn’t help Sean Harrison, she couldn’t back down now.

Because of her condition, Nadia Willow’s voice was light and airy.
But every single word stabbed at Rory Linden like a knife.
Nadia continued, "Miss Linden, you don’t have to choose right away. I hear you’re leaving Veridia tomorrow to go out of town, right? You can think about it during that ti."
Rory Linden wasn’t surprised.
With Nadia Willow’s status and connections, finding out sothing like that wouldn’t be difficult.
But it was very difficult for her to find out anything about Nadia.
"I don’t need to think. I won’t leave him."
Rory Linden’s answer was resolute.
Leaving Sean Harrison.
Just the thought of it made her heart ache.
She wouldn’t do it.
"No need to rush into a decision. Besides... you’re not entirely without options."
Nadia Willow looked at her and smiled. "Miles Harrison deeply regrets breaking up with you. If you wanted to, you could go back to him at any ti."
