In order to maintain her ladylike image, Su Jiuyi could only take small sips of her juice. After hearing his words, she said, "I have a friend who works as a bartender. I can introduce you to him soti."
"That may be so, but I don’t know you yet," Ye Han laughed, "I wonder if this beautiful miss in front of could reveal her na?"
"Hmm..." Su Jiuyi pretended to think for a mont, then her eyes lit up and she said, "How about you call Miyou, short for honey polo tea."
It sounds quite nice, but shouting that on the street might be rather odd.
"Why can’t you reveal your real na?" He propped his chin and looked into her eyes, "You know what I look like, you know my na, profession, age, you even have my phone number."
Su Jiuyi smiled and made a gesture for silence: "That’s a girl’s secret."
Hearing her say that, Ye Han didn’t press further. The two of them continued to chat idly about the previous topic for a while.
Su Jiuyi looked out the window and happened to see Shi Aoju drinking red wine with a tall woman outside.
I really have no idea what he’s been busy with since I left a while ago.
Seeing Su Jiuyi lost in thought, Ye Han also followed her gaze out the window and smiled, saying, "Your dance partner?"
Hearing his words, Su Jiuyi snapped back to attention, shook her head, and said, "More like my boss."
"Office romance?" Ye Han speculated, pinching his chin, "But it’s probably not a good idea; people in the office tend to gossip."
"Not really. Anyway, he hired to be his dance partner today."
Saying it like that wasn’t wrong. Shi Aoju had told her before that he might bring her to so occasions where a female partner was necessary. If she accompanied him once, there would be a bonus, so using the word "hired" didn’t seem out of place.
Ultimately, he just found others troubleso, and she, when in front of strangers, was always very quiet, spoke little, and mainly focused on eating. She wouldn’t harm Shi Aoju’s interests, nor would she act high and mighty like those won who admired him.
So Shi Aoju always appreciated Su Jiuyi’s well-behaved and sensible deanor outside.
Rembering the last ti at a party he encountered Old Sir Qian, the latter even ntioned the girl he brought to the birthday banquet, asking which prestigious family she was from, and why they hadn’t seen her before and such.
Just then, Shi Aoju, who was talking to soone else, also noticed Su Jiuyi standing by the window.
Their eyes t, and Su Jiuyi saw the glint in his eyes seed to have a deeper aning. She stared for a while, then instinctively turned her head away.
"If neither you nor your dance partner mind..." Beside her, Ye Han showed a gentle smile on his face, "How about going up to the rooftop with to watch the fireworks?"
"There will be fireworks?" Su Jiuyi was slightly surprised.
"Yeah, that’s what a friend told ," Ye Han pointed to a high-rise building opposite, "The view from there is the best. Want to go over now?"
As a servant of the event host, Su Jiuyi really hadn’t heard about fireworks being part of the plan. But thinking about it, Shi Aoju hadn’t known about that boring segnt earlier either, so it ant he might not know about the fireworks. After all, in a capitalist’s eyes, only ever-ascending numbers matter—not similarly ascending fireworks.
