She doesn’t have much of a network, and she can’t find out what exactly this Xiao Chen is like. Now it seems quite frustrating.
How about asking Jingren?
She sat up from the bed, then grabbed her phone and dialed Qi Jingren. The ringing tone went for a long while with no answer, and Su Jiuyi wondered if she was disturbing her sleep, thinking of hanging up.
But at that mont, the call was picked up: "Hello, Jiuyi."
"Jingren, do you have ti now?" Su Jiuyi got straight to the point, "I want to ask you about soone."
"Yes, go ahead, if I know them."
"Do you know soone called Xiao Chen, said to be an heir to the Chen Consortium?"
"Xiao Chen?" Qi Jingren thought for a mont, then asked Qin Shaobai beside her, "Do you know soone nad Xiao Chen from the Chen Consortium?"
Qin Shaobai, while helping Qi Jingren cut the steak on her plate, said: "I know him, but he’s not a big shot, what’s up?"
Qi Jingren gave him the phone, whispering: "You can talk to Jiuyi."
"Hello, this is Qin Shaobai," Qin Shaobai asked, "Why are you asking about Xiao Chen?"
Su Jiuyi replied, "I just want to know what he’s about."
"He’s not much, just an heir to a small consortium. He has a really bad temper. Last ti at Ciaos, he harassed a waitress and went on a drunken rampage, smashing a lot of expensive bottles at the bar. You should know about that."
Qi Jingren was taken aback, couldn’t help but chuckle, rembering how that guy had ended up being beat up out of Ciaos by her. At that ti, he was so drunk he couldn’t even stand straight. No one dared to approach him, but she grabbed a bottle and charged at him, hitting him a few tis. He took a few steps, couldn’t stand, and ended up crawling out by himself.
With Qin Shaobai ntioning it, Su Jiuyi rembered there was indeed such an event. He looked like a hooligan, flirted with many waitresses, and booked quite a few rooms. Not all the Ciaos’ waitresses were upright, so many mixed with him.
She didn’t quite rember until the incident at the bar with Jingren that such a person remained in her mind.
Indeed, a playboy.
Su Jiuyi curled her lips, thanked Qin Shaobai, and hung up the phone.
Qi Jingren took a sip of red wine, watched Qin Shaobai place her phone at the corner of the table, and then asked, "How do you know such a person?"
Before the person opposite could reply, she began to answer herself: "Oh, I know, isn’t it because you often see him at hotels or so sleazy places? I bet you both are platinum mbers, surely you have deep connections."
Qin Shaobai frowned, disliking her insinuations and aggressive tone.
"It was only because he smashed the bar last ti that I investigated him." Qin Shaobai said, "As the heir of a small consortium with assets just over a billion, I disdain knowing him."
"Oh, the waitress he harassed last ti was still a college student, and I had a pretty good relationship with her. But later on, she resigned." Qi Jingren recalled, "You weren’t there at the ti. He even lifted a bartender from behind the bar, scaring quite a few people."
"At that ti, Jiuyi had just arrived, nearly got hit by flying bottles, and was quite scared." She bit her fork, sowhat puzzled, "Why did she suddenly think to ask about him? I need to ask her..."
