Su Jiuyi secretly observed his expression, feeling embarrassed by her constant mishaps in front of him.

Shi Aoju’s expression remained indifferent; he was as elegant as a noble prince, exuding an irresistible charisma with every move.

After eating, Shi Aoju asked for Su Jiuyi’s ho address and drove her back.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Su Jiuyi felt uneasy throughout the ride.

She didn’t want others to know that she was the eldest daughter of the Su Family, as this aningless title was almost everyone’s laughingstock.

Yet, she was curious to see if this proud and aloof man beside her would also dismiss her identity with disdain.

"You can drop off here, I can walk back myself." When the car reached near the garden, Su Jiuyi spoke up.

Hearing her, Shi Aoju slowed down the car and stopped it. With one hand on the steering wheel and the other arm resting on the window, he turned his face to look at the woman beside him.

She was still dressed as she was in the morning, but her hair, previously tied up high, now cascaded down her shoulders. The moonlight outside the car illuminated her skin, giving it a delicately silky appearance.

"Aren’t you afraid?" He raised an eyebrow, his tone slightly playful.

Indeed, it was nearing midnight, and everything was pitch black. The only sound ca from the faint chirping of crickets in the garden bushes, making the surroundings eerily silent.

Su Jiuyi was not timid, and ever since working at Ciaos, she often returned late at night. Yet, for so reason, after Shi Aoju’s deliberate "reminder," she felt a bit uneasy.

"I’m not afraid," she replied stubbornly, contradicting her own feelings.

She didn’t want to be mocked by others, nor did she want him to look down on her.

Shi Aoju was curious; since she appeared at Song Zhike’s engagent party, it indicated that she knew Song Zhike or Su Manning. It also ant her family held so status in the business world. So why would she work in such a dangerous place? What was she hiding?

"What’s your relationship with Song Zhike?" Seeing her cry so sadly at the engagent party, perhaps she was his ex-girlfriend.

"Ah..." Su Jiuyi was montarily stunned, rembering after so ti that Song Zhike was her future brother-in-law. After thinking for a while, she chose to obscure the truth, "There’s not much of a relationship..."

In fact, Su Jiuyi knew that whether it was Song Zhike’s identity or her relationship with him, Shi Aoju could find out with just one phone call.

With his abilities, there was probably nothing he couldn’t handle.

So whether she concealed or revealed the truth to Shi Aoju, it didn’t really matter.

Seeing her reluctance to speak, Shi Aoju didn’t press further, nor would he investigate, because he didn’t want to invade others’ privacy. Besides, so things he wanted to hear her say personally.

"Thank you for today," Su Jiuyi expressed her gratitude to him.

Though there had been many unpleasant events between them, everything that happened today assured her of one thing: at least he wasn’t a bad person.

"You’re welco," Shi Aoju replied in a low voice.

Su Jiuyi observed his expression, then unbuckled her seatbelt and stepped out of the car.

She stood beside the car, glanced at the man inside who was turning the wheel, and instinctively stepped aside to make way for him.

The car slowly turned around and drove off in the direction they ca from.

Once Shi Aoju’s car was far away, Su Jiuyi took a deep breath and turned, forcing herself to head toward ho.
