Nearing midnight, the guests for the banquet had mostly arrived, Sun Yan and Susan too, the only ones missing were Qin Jin and Ye Zi.
That’s when Shen Cheng made a call to Ye Zi.
"Beauty, sorry about that, I, uh... my clothes ripped apart on the way here..."
As soon as the call connected, Ye Zi hurriedly started explaining, her voice still tinged with embarrassnt.
Shen Cheng wanted to know why her clothes ripped, but considering it was almost alti, she didn’t ask further, "It’s okay if it ripped, let Qin Jin give you his coat, co to my place and I’ll find you a new one."
Ye Zi’s voice ca through the phone imdiately: "No need, no need, we’ve already turned around to go change clothes, we’ll reach your ho in less than half an hour."
Shen Cheng hesitated for a bit, then replied with an "Mhm", "Then drive carefully."
"Okay, sure!"
After hanging up, Ye Zi gripped her phone and finally let out a long sigh of relief.
She was still wrapped in the jacket of Qin Jin’s suit, and because the weather was too hot, Qin Jin had turned the air conditioning to the lowest temperature to make her more comfortable.
Ye Zi turned to look at Qin Jin’s profile and asked softly, "Are we really going back to the clothing store to change clothes?"
Qin Jin kept his gaze forward while driving, his slender fingers resting elegantly on the steering wheel, deftly turning it as he navigated a bend before finally moving his lips slightly: "Change."
The simple word was uttered with an authoritative tone that brooked no argunt.
Ye Zi hesitated a bit, "The new clothes have a warranty, but... the reason my dress ripped isn’t because of poor quality, it was deliberately done. Wouldn’t it be embarrassing to exchange it?"
Qin Jin finally gave her a side glance, "Not going to exchange? So you prefer to show up in front of more people looking disheveled?"
"What the..." Ye Zi pouted.
All she thought was there was no need to go back to the clothing store they had rushed to that morning.
And since they were already so late, the banquet was halfway done, surely no one would care if her dress was elegant or not. In that case, she might as well just go ho and change into sothing casual.
"You’re not allowed to eat sweets anymore."
Qin Jin shifted his gaze back to the road ahead, but suddenly dropped a seemingly unrelated comnt.
"Huh?" Ye Zi was a bit stunned, "Why can’t I eat sweets?"
"Because you’re too fat."
As he spoke, Qin Jin’s face even showed a hint of disgust.
Upon hearing this, Ye Zi’s face beca flushed with urgency: "I am not fat!"
She only weighed forty-five kilograms, where was the fat!
"The dress ripped open and you still say you’re not fat?" Qin Jin raised his sword eyebrows, his face stern, "From today on, all of your snacks are confiscated, no chocolate, chips, lollipops, doughnuts, you can’t have any of them."
Ye Zi pouted unhappily, "The dress was clearly torn by you, how can you say it was because of ..."
Even if she was fat, it couldn’t possibly be around her chest area.
If the chest could rip open a dress, how big would it have to be?
Qin Jin slowed down the car, turned his head, and his eyes narrowed dangerously: "I rely touched you, when did I rip your dress?"
"Not just once!" Ye Zi corrected with a red face, "You clearly touched seven tis just now, three on the left, four on the right..."
Qin Jin with a dark face: "..."
She counted every ti he touched her? And she even rembered which side got more and which got less?
