After entering the Charming Nine Sect, Shen Cheng was taken to a room.
The room was spacious and vast, the floor paved with black glass stones, while the ceiling was constructed with crystal glass.
It was very unconventional and unique.
From the entrance, luxurious genuine leather sofas extended all the way to the rear.
On the wall opposite the sofas hung a giant LCD screen, which occasionally flickered with images but produced no sound.
This setup and layout inexplicably gave one a sensation of being in heaven one mont and plumting into hell the next.
There was a man sitting on the sofa, his back to the direction of the door.
He had a tall figure with balanced proportions, and just that peerless silhouette seed enough to spark imaginations about his appearance.
Shen Cheng withdrew her gaze from him and stepped forward.
Her footsteps were neither light nor heavy, not making a sound, indiscernible to soone not highly alert.
Yet Feng Jiu i seed to have known she was coming all along. Without even turning his head, he gestured to a spot beside him, "Co, have a seat."
Shen Cheng stopped at the sound, raising her eyes to see him, this position only revealing the side of his face with a mask.
She slightly frowned.
Feng Jiu i, be it his background or his looks, was shrouded in mystery.
Who exactly is he?
Seeing her standing still, Feng Jiu i turned his face towards her, his deep, unfathomable eyes regarding her patiently while pointing to the seat next to him.
"Sit."
This ti, he uttered just one word.
Shen Cheng remained still, not even offering a response.
She thought this might infuriate the man, but she was wrong.
"Want to know why I captured you? Co sit by , and I’ll tell you," he said in a low, raspy voice, laced with a hint of seduction.
But Shen Cheng was never one to be swayed by temptation, even in the face of danger.
She stood there, her expression indifferent as she looked at him, "You talk, I’ll listen; you don’t, I won’t ask."
She paused for a mont, then curved her lips into a smile, "Do you know what a woman’s greatest achievent is? It’s to love only one man in her entire life, to think of only one man, to touch only one man, to sit only by the side of one man."
"Only sit by the side of one man..." Feng Jiu i repeated softly, unable to suppress a laugh, "Such pride!"
His words harbored no ridicule or disdain, but pure admiration.
He stood up, brushing off non-existent dust from his clothes, then readjusted the position of his mask.
His nonchalant movents could aptly be described as elegant.
He walked over to Shen Cheng, leaned down, and looked down at her with a superior stance, "I don’t have the habit of mistreating won, much less pregnant won. Go sit; now it’s my turn to stand."
Shen Cheng gave him a cold glance and walked straight past him.
Feng Jiu i maintained the sa posture, his body slightly leaning forward, until Shen Cheng took a seat on the sofa, then he straightened up.
He pointed with his long fingers to the small table in front of her, saying, "Juice, milk, plain water, choose anything to drink. There’s a silver needle on the side, you can use it to test for poison if you wish."
Shen Cheng said nothing, instead she picked up a glass of milk and brought it to her lips.
After several sips, she put down the glass, then picked up another cup of plain water to drink.
She didn’t drink because she trusted Feng Jiu i, but because she felt if he wanted to harm her, he wouldn’t wait until now.
He had many opportunities to act before, so it’s unlikely he’d use such a thod now.
