Shen Cheng raised her hand to massage her temples, intending to relieve her discomfort this way.

The sense of dizziness persisted, but it was no longer as unbearable as before.

It was a while before she slowly opened her eyes.

In her expression, there seed to be a hint of worry.

This was the third ti today that she experienced this dizzy sensation.

She didn’t take the previous two episodes seriously because they weren’t as severe.

But just now...

If she hadn’t clenched her teeth and persevered, she might have fainted.

Realizing she couldn’t ignore the situation, Shen Cheng steadied herself on sothing nearby and stood up.

She didn’t want to cause a scene, so she decided to visit the hospital.

She instructed the driver to bring the car over, and she got into the back seat.

When the driver asked where she wanted to go, she casually ntioned a café.

After getting out of the car, she waited until the driver drove off before hailing a taxi.

The taxi stopped outside the entrance of the maternity hospital. Shen Cheng paid the fare, got out, and walked towards the hospital.

Due to an injury on her foot, she walked slowly.

Several pregnant won passing by her side couldn’t help but glance at her.

So observant people noticed her slightly bulging belly and realized she was pregnant; a trace of disdain appeared in their eyes.

That kind of look seed to say: Your belly isn’t even that big, is there a need to be so anxious?

Regarding the strange looks cast her way, Shen Cheng turned a blind eye.

Instead, it was the pervasive sll of disinfectant that made her cover her nose involuntarily.

The pungent and unpleasant scent inevitably brought thoughts of childbirth to mind...

She thought about it; tomorrow, she would be four months pregnant.

Only just over five months left until her due date - it was getting close.

She registered at the reception and was led to the gynecology clinic by a nurse.

In the doctor’s office, there were many people waiting, mostly couples.

Shen Cheng found a spot to sit down, at the very end of the queue.

Although her seat was close to a corner, several n still noticed her.

Among the pregnant won waiting for their check-up, many were chubby and had dark spots on their faces. Only she had a graceful figure and a flawless complexion.

Sitting quietly to the side, she emanated an aura that seed to eclipse all other won.

Raising her hand to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear, the casual gesture made many n restless.

Those n, who were used to seeing only their ’ugly wives’ every day, naturally couldn’t help but want to take a few more glances at her.

But considering the public setting and the presence of their wives, they had to restrain themselves.

After giving Shen Cheng a couple of looks, they dutifully redirected their gazes back to their own wives.

After waiting for about twenty minutes, it was finally Shen Cheng’s turn.

The doctor created her file, asured her blood pressure, took her abdominal circumference, and conducted a series of examinations.

In the end, she was given four slips to go pay first, then proceed to the fifth floor laboratory for a blood draw.

Shen Cheng took the slips and went downstairs to the paynt counter.

There were quite a few people at the paynt counter, so Shen Cheng waited to the side for a while, until it was less crowded, before joining the queue.

She was looking down at the slips in her hand and hadn’t noticed soone standing in front of her.

"Chengzi."

It was not until a gentle voice sounded by her ear that she looked up.

This encounter was unlike any other.

Prior to this, every ti Shen Cheng saw him, she would turn and leave.

Because he was Mu Bai.

But this ti she didn’t move. She stood there, looking at him and said indifferently, "What a coincidence."

Because her heart was no longer in it, she didn’t care.
