"I’m going to take a shower."
Shen Cheng said, trying to crawl out from underneath Shi Yu, but as she moved, he pressed her back down onto the bed with one hand and ordered, "Lie down."
Shen Cheng raised an eyebrow, the soreness throughout her body reminding her that, if it really happened again, she was likely the one who wouldn’t be able to handle it.
Knowing that forcing the issue would backfire, she obediently lay still and said softly, "I need to go to work. If I don’t get up and get ready, I’m going to be late."
Shi Yu turned over, lay beside her, pulled her into his embrace, holding her tightly, closed his eyes, and said heavily, "You have the day off today."
"A day off?" Shen Cheng furrowed her brows even more. "When was this decided? Why wasn’t I notified?"
Generally, if a company is going to have a day off, they would notify their employees in advance to make arrangents. It couldn’t possibly be such a sudden, unexpected holiday.
"You know about it now, and that’s enough," Shi Yu said with his eyes closed, burying his face in her hair, greedily inhaling her unique scent.
"I don’t want a day off." After yesterday’s drama, the company must still be in chaos; it would be a pity not to join in the hectic scene.
"Shen Ming is currently blocked by a group of reporters at his front door; he probably won’t be going to the office today. Even if you go, you won’t be able to enjoy his downfall," he said in his rich, magnetic voice, slowly spilling from his lips.
"How did you know I wanted to see his downfall?" This man hadn’t left the house, nor touched his phone or computer, yet he seed to know all about it.
"I’ve said it before, there’s nothing I don’t know about when it’s related to you," he replied.
"So, you’re spying on ?" Otherwise, how would he know so much?
"Stop talking, sleep!" Shi Yu seed to really dislike the word ’spying’. To him, paying attention to every little thing his wife does was out of concern for her safety and should not be confused with spying.
"How can I sleep if I’m not sleepy?! Goddamn it, let go of , I need to get up!" Not only wealthy people are allowed to be grumpy when they wake up; she can be too!
"No swearing," he said, without even lifting his head, pressing his face against her hair, maintaining the intimate position.
"I’ll swear if I want! Goddamn it, goddamn it, goddamn it!" Miss Shen is being willful again.
"Say it one more ti and see if I let you get out of bed today," his low and hoarse voice carried a strong threat.
Christ, this man is simply being unreasonable, even controlling others’ swearing.
Shen Cheng felt a bit frustrated. She had wanted to curse his entire family, but after careful thought, she stopped herself.
Because she knew all too well just how dominant and overbearing this man was.
He always ant what he said and saw his words through to action. If he said she was not allowed to leave the bed, then he certainly was not joking with her.
In front of him, she had no room to resist, much like now, being held by him, even if she wanted to move, it all depended on his mood.
If it’s sleep, then sleep it is, who cares whether it’s a holiday or skipping work. Today’s shift wasn’t happening anyway.
Feeling the woman in his arms calm down, Shi Yu gently rubbed his head on hers, found a more comfortable position, and then said softly, "Sleep a bit more, I’ll take you to buy a ring later."
Hearing his words, Shen Cheng was startled, her eyes which had just closed suddenly snapped open, and she asked incredulously, "Buy what?"
He repeated patiently, "A ring."
