"What if I die first?"

With her chin held by him, Shi Keke slightly tilted her head up. She neither pushed him away nor struggled, just looked at him with a casual smile on her lips.

The words "What if I die first" made Shi i’s gaze turn dark and sinister. His large hand exerted more pressure, and he spoke coldly, "Don’t you dare."

"It’s not a question of dare or not, because nobody can be sure if they might leave this world in the next minute. Sotis fate is like that, it loves to play pranks on people, loves to strip everything from soone when they’re at their happiest, including life."

Shi Keke was very open-minded, because she always felt that, whether alive or dead, it was sothing everyone had to face sooner or later.

Having been a lawyer for so many years, she had experienced a lot and was accustod to scenes of life and death, so often she would calm down to ponder life, and over ti, she just beca indifferent to it.

Life and death aren’t really that important. A person’s life, regardless of how long it is, or what the outco is, isn’t important; the process is what matters.

Like now, she was enjoying the process, enjoying how this man was getting jealous because of sothing she said.

If she had used this tactic earlier, maybe she and he would have been together a long ti ago, maybe she would have heard him say she was his woman much earlier.

"I don’t care, as long as I’m here, I won’t allow you to die, I won’t allow you to leave ." Shi i suddenly released her chin and pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly, emphasizing in her ear, "You are mine, so your life can only be controlled by ."

"Brother, you’re too domineering." Shi Keke leaned against his shoulder, listening to his domineering love words, a sense of satisfaction she had never felt before appeared on her face.

"Loving you makes domineering." Shi i held her tighter, lowering his voice to a whisper.

"What?" Shi Keke didn’t hear what he just said.

"Nothing." He said, pushing her away and returning to a cold expression.

Shi Keke didn’t say anything more either. She raised her hand to tidy up the slightly ssy collar of his shirt and said, "Brother, actually, I’ve always liked n who wear ties."

Shi i coldly responded with a hum, speaking slowly, "I never wear ties."

"Then you’re not the man I like." Shi Keke withdrew her hand directly and then sat back down.

Shi i also sat back down. He first leisurely rolled up his shirt sleeves, then squinted at her with cold eyes, raising the corners of his lips with a half-smile, "Of course I’m not the man you like."

"Hmm, at least you have self-awareness." Shi Keke said, raising her teacup and taking a sip.

"I’m the man you love."

"Pfft—"

Upon hearing his words, Shi Keke spit out the tea she hadn’t yet swallowed. Naturally, the man sitting opposite her wasn’t spared.

Shi Keke was montarily embarrassed, then quickly stood up and pulled out a few tissues from the nearby box to wipe Shi i’s face.

While wiping, she patiently consoled the man whose face turned extrely sullen, "Brother, think about it this way. We’ve already kissed, our tongues have touched, and we’ve swapped saliva. So there’s no need to dislike what ca out of my mouth."

Shi i’s face turned even colder: "..."
