Shi i rarely saw this little woman side of Shi Keke, not knowing what she was thinking, smiling so contentedly.
In the past, in front of him, she never admitted defeat, never conceded, her stubbornness made people feel sorry for her.
Now in front of him, her smile was gentle, so tender that it seed unlike her, yet still evoked a sense of pity.
He glanced at her sideways, then silently turned his gaze away.
He looked straight ahead, gracefully steering the wheel to avoid one car after another.
Shi Keke finally erged from her mories, but at that mont heard his cold voice: "That shop is no longer open."
Shi i’s words cut off her thoughts; although she had considered that with the passage of ti, the old shop might have already disappeared, she still felt a bit disappointed hearing it from him.
But she didn’t show it, retracting her little womanly side from earlier, she smiled nonchalantly, "Then forget it, I’m not that keen on eating it anyway."

They didn’t speak again for the rest of the journey.
Because she had stayed up until four in the morning last night and had been busy all day today, Shi Keke wasn’t feeling well, accustod as she was to staying up late, she still felt a bit tired.

Seeing she had fallen asleep, Shi i turned up the air conditioner temperature, then retrieved a coat from the back seat and covered her with it before continuing to drive.
Fifteen minutes later, the car stopped outside an old deli near the eastern dock of the city.

After the car ca to a stop, Shi i saw that Shi Keke was still sleeping soundly, so he didn’t wake her.
He also reclined his seat, lazily lying down, turning his face to look at the little woman sleeping deeply beside him.

Shi i extended his hand, gently placed it over her face, then moved upwards along her face, pausing at her forehead.
He used his fingertip to gently smooth her furrowed brows, easing out the creases.
Perhaps because of his touch, she beca alert, and Shi Keke awoke with a start, opening her eyes to see a face magnified tenfold in front of her, his hand resting on her forehead, maintaining a suggestively close distance.
"Brother, why are you touching ?" she asked him.
Shi i gazed deeply at her, not answering her question, after about ten seconds, he slowly withdrew his hand, then said: "Just checking your temperature, seeing if you had a fever."
"An excuse." Shi Keke imdiately called him out, "You must have thought I looked too enchanting while I was asleep, and couldn’t resist touching ."
