Shi Keke glanced nonchalantly at the milk on the table, "Who sent it?"
Wei Shenshen thought for a mont and said, "I’m not sure what that man’s na is, because when he delivered the milk to the master, it seed like he didn’t reveal his na and he left without staying long."
She paused and then added, "That man is especially handso, like a model. When he arrived, the entire office was buzzing. Many of the female colleagues ran out to see him, actively trying to chat him up."
Shi Keke made a sound of acknowledgnt, the corners of her mouth curling into a faint smile, "So what happened?"
Wei Shenshen replied, "That man was too aloof, almost never giving anyone a direct look, and he had a particularly strong presence. I feel like only the master could handle a man like that."
Shi Keke laughed but did not say anything, leaving Wei Shenshen sowhat puzzled. She frowned and said, "If the master doesn’t have a boyfriend, then he should be the master’s pursuer. Does the master recall any such man?"
Shi Keke didn’t answer her question but pushed a stack of docunts in front of her, instructing, "Sort these cases in chronological order and deliver them to my office before the morning eting tomorrow. Any problems?"
"No problem." Wei Shenshen readily agreed, picking up the docunts. However, she seed unwilling to drop the earlier question, "Master, can you satisfy your disciple’s curiosity just a bit?"
"No." Shi Keke directly refused, "As a lawyer, the biggest taboo is gossip. If you don’t want to be talked about, keep your mouth in check, do more, and say less."
"Got it, Master, I’ll get to work right away!" Wei Shenshen dreaded being scolded by Shi Keke. Although she wasn’t as strict as other seniors, she often hit the nail on the head, leaving her with no words to retort.
Holding the docunts, Wei Shenshen left the office, closing the door behind her.
As soon as she left, Shi Keke took out her phone and sent a text to Shi i.
[Brother, thanks.]
The first person Shi Keke thought of was him, since among the people she knew, there was practically no man with a presence that could match his.
Normally, when Shi Keke sent ssages to Shi i, he never replied. So Shi Keke didn’t hold out much hope and set the phone aside once the ssage was successfully sent.
She took that bottle of milk, opened it, and retrieved a clean glass from the nearby cabinet. She poured so milk into the glass and tried a sip.
Shi Keke never drank milk as she was very sensitive, often feeling that the milk slled fishy and astringent.
So most of the ti, she would rather have a cup of coffee than consider milk, which is why she developed the bad habit of drinking coffee in the morning.
This ti, drinking milk felt the sa as before; she still found it fishy and unpleasant. As she forced herself to swallow, she felt a churning in her stomach, unable to hold back a gag.
Just then, her phone on the desk happened to ring.
Upon hearing it, Shi Keke quickly pulled a tissue from the box beside her to wipe her mouth, then set down the glass and picked up the phone to check.
It was a call from Shi i.
Her slender fingers slid across the screen, and she answered the call, bringing the phone to her ear, "Hello."
As soon as she spoke, air rushed into her mouth, instantly triggering another wave of nausea, "Ugh—"
