Around eight o’clock in the evening, while sitting on the balcony swing enjoying the breeze, I noticed Shi Aoju’s car driving into the Qin Family estate.

The mont the car stopped, a servant went over to open the door for him, indicating that he must co here often; the servants were quite familiar with him.

Su Jiuyi saw him get out of the car, wearing a black silk shirt and black trousers, with his leather shoes polished to a perfect shine, spotless.

The impression Shi Aoju gives is always clean and neat. You’d never catch a stain or flaw on his clothes; he’s like a prince charming stepping out of a painting, so perfect and dazzling.

Su Jiuyi rembered his habits: bathing three tis a day, changing clothes four tis, and never allowing a trace of sweat or sll on his body.

When she first discovered this habit of his, she thought, not everyone could maintain such ticulousness, because it would be difficult to sustain without a certain amount of wealth.

Su Jiuyi got up from the swing, leaned on the fence, and watched the man downstairs. He had worn a linen-colored shirt when he went out in the morning, and now he had changed to black. She wondered how many tis he had changed in between.

He was so fastidious; should she learn from him in the future?

Su Jiuyi was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t realize soone was already standing behind her. She maintained her original posture, her hand supporting her chin on the fence, mumbling sothing continuously.

Shi Aoju, with his right hand in his pocket and a delicate small gift box in his left hand, stood there watching Su Jiuyi for a while, but she didn’t notice his presence at all.

So, he intentionally cleared his throat lightly, trying to draw her attention this way, but Su Jiuyi remained in her trance, showing no reaction.

Shi Aoju frowned unhappily, his deep eyes replaced with a layer of indifference. For a mont, the temperature in the air seed to drop a few degrees lower than the chill emanating from him.

"Su Jiuyi," he said coldly.

"Eh!" Upon hearing her na called, Su Jiuyi snapped back to reality and turned to see Shi Aoju looking at her with an expression as if asking, "Are you sleepwalking?" She spoke with a hint of embarrassnt, "I was just lost in thought for a while and didn’t notice you ca up. By the way, are you hungry? I borrowed Jingren’s kitchen to make so little desserts earlier; they taste pretty good, would you like to try so?"

"Glutton," Shi Aoju uttered the word casually before striding over to her and handing her the small gift box in his hand, saying, "I passed by a clothing store and bought you a jacket, go inside and try it on to see if it fits."

"Bought it along the way?" Su Jiuyi pouted, indicating her displeasure.

"You can entirely consider it as if I specially bought it for you," Shi Aoju responded with a lukewarm tone.

"It’s not the sa," Su Jiuyi insisted.

"How is it not?" he asked.

Su Jiuyi said nothing, she wasn’t angry, just felt a bit disappointed, especially after hearing him say he bought it along the way, leaving a strange void inside her.

"If you don’t want it, I’ll just give it to soone else," said Shi Aoju, reaching out intending to retrieve the gift box from her hands. Seeing his action made Su Jiuyi anxious, and she hurriedly held the gift box to her chest, saying, "I want it, I want it! Who said I didn’t want it!"

Shi Aoju watched her impassively, his sexy thin lips curling into a barely perceptible smile. This woman, her occasional small temper tantrums were quite adorable.
