"The patient should speak less," he said lightly.

"..." Su Jiuyi closed her mouth. More than once, she felt like she was a lamb to the slaughter in front of him, with no room for resistance.

"Does the wound still hurt?"

Upon hearing Shi Aoju ask this, Su Jiuyi shook her head. In reality, her wound wasn’t healing well, but it mostly itched and hurt when the weather changed in the mornings and evenings.

She felt there was no need to tell him about such minor issues. Besides, she wasn’t a child anymore and wouldn’t collapse from a bit of pain. Sotis, gritting her teeth and toughing it out was enough. By not speaking, she hoped not to worry those around her.

"Let take a look," Shi Aoju said, reaching out his hand toward Su Jiuyi. The mont his fingertips touched the buttons on her shirt, she instinctively grabbed his hand, awkwardly saying, "The wound is...it’s better if you don’t look."

"It’s sothing I will have to see eventually."

Shi Aoju looked at her, his expression unchanged, as indifferent as before. He always seed so cold and aloof, even if he had just smiled; it left no trace on his face.

"Let’s wait until we’re married to look," Su Jiuyi said. "It’s still a bit inappropriate now."

Shi Aoju raised his sword eyebrows upon hearing this. "I’ve seen what I should see, and I’ve also seen what I shouldn’t. What could possibly be inappropriate?"

Su Jiuyi t his gaze, feeling a bit guilty under his intense stare. She quickly averted her eyes and slightly lowered her head, saying, "The first two tis were accidents."

"Not an accident," Shi Aoju said, holding her chin and lifting her face to make her look at him.

Su Jiuyi realized there was no escape, so she took a deep breath and t his gaze. Suddenly, it was as if she was drawn into the whirlpool of his eyes, losing her sense of self.

Facing him, her palms began to sweat from nervousness, yet she still spoke, "It was an accident."

She stressed, "The first ti... We were under the influence of that scent, and the second ti, it was probably the result of drunk mistakes. We were both intoxicated at the ti."

"The first ti was, but the second was not," he said.

"Huh?" Su Jiuyi was surprised. She clearly rembered that during their second encounter, when she apologized and said it happened because they were drunk, he replied that he was also drunk.

So she always believed that their second ti together was just a drunken fling, without any other reasons.

"That night, I wasn’t drunk." Shi Aoju released her chin and instead cradled her face, saying each word distinctly, "I consciously chose to be with you."

Su Jiuyi froze for a while before she felt a slight shift in her emotions. She asked, "Why didn’t you tell back then!"

Shi Aoju gazed deeply at her, his eyes filled with gentleness. He said nothing, only bowed his head to kiss her lips, using this thod to seal her mouth, preventing her from saying more.

The faint scent of tobacco mingled with his unique fragrance entered her nose, acting like a sedative, instantly calming her. She didn’t struggle or resist, allowing his lips and tongue to invade her mouth, inch by inch, claiming ownership.

Su Jiuyi thought she had probably fallen, completely fallen into his gentle swamp, and from now on, she would never be able to withdraw fully from his world.
