Su Jiuyi cald herself, withdrew her hand, and regained her footing. When she slipped earlier, there was a burning sensation underfoot. She checked her shoe sole and luckily found no damage.
The ordeal widened the distance between them again.
Su Jiuyi took a deep breath, still shaken, and found her hand trembling uncontrollably.
She tried her best to change this state but felt sowhat powerless.
Shi Aoju suddenly reached out and held her hand tightly, his voice firm and resonant: "With here, don’t be afraid."
What kind of promise is this?
