“I’m already in Chang’an, but I’m off to Sichuan soon. The tickets are bought! I plan to celebrate New Year’s Eve and stay up late with Li Li.”
Xu Qingyan was desperate, not stopping to wonder why Shen Jinyue would go to Sichuan for the New Year instead of staying at ho.
Assuming that the ntal state of college students these days was concerning, not helping walk a dog, then dressing up as a woman, one could sll the scent of wood from the study desk as if it conveyed a sense of a coffin. “Sichuan is too far, and what’s fun about the New Year over there?” Xu Qingyan coaxed gently, “Why don’t you both co over? You can see the Spring Festival Gala stars here, and you might even get on cara, how about that?”
“Oh, I’ll consider it.” Shen Jinyue said.
Xu Qingyan felt slightly annoyed. He had few friends of the opposite sex, and now only Shen Jinyue could save him.
“Chang’an is more lively than Sichuan; stop considering it. It’s a quick taxi ride to Bell Tower Plaza.”
“But why are you acting so strange today, suddenly being so nice to ?” Over the phone, Shen Jinyue suddenly said, “You wouldn’t be hiding sothing, would you? Or planning to ambush in Chang’an?”

“That…” Shen Jinyue hesitated.
“You scoundrel!” Xu Qingyan turned the tables on her, appealing to her emotions and reasoning, “It’s fine, I covered for you, didn’t say you went off to play with Pei.”
“Then… thanks.” Shen Jinyue sounded guilty, whispering, “Don’t tell Sister Zhou Zhou, otherwise she and Ting Ting won’t hang out with anymore.”
“Shen Jinyue, aren’t you being a bit too scummy? Unable to pick a side and stick with it?” Xu Qingyan tilted his head while holding the phone, organizing the docunts in his hand, as he was about to leave soon.
He would be busy until late at night and could leave right after giving a heads-up.
“How am I scummy? I just want to be friends with both Pei and Sister Zhou Zhou!” Shen Jinyue declared earnestly, “Can’t everyone get along in harmony? If not, I have no choice but to do this!”
“I can’t clone myself, after all… It’s not my fault.”
Indeed, Xu Qingyan silently applauded Shen Jinyue in his mind. We really are a pair of natural partners in cri.
“That’s just an excuse, just co on, stop considering.” Xu Qingyan said, “You don’t want Sister Zhou Zhou to ignore you in the future, do you?”
“Wuwu, no, I don’t.”
“Then what are you waiting for, co on over, waiting for love?” Xu Qingyan said, “I’ve got to go, be quick.”
Right after he hung up the phone, a red packet popped up in the directors’ group chat.
It was from one of the three big heads, Lu Liangsheng, with the cover saying, “The final battle, let’s go!” Fortunately, Xu Qingyan was quick and snagged a red packet worth several tens. Once soone else started giving out packets, he followed by sending one slightly less than what Lu Liangsheng sent.
Ding ding ding, the red packet was gone in half a minute.
“Teacher Xu is so generous!”
“Thanks to Teacher Xu for the poverty aid, may Teacher Xu have a strong back and healthy kidneys!”
“Thank you, Teacher Xu.”
These days, there’s an art to red packet giving, which should be frequent but small, not large and infrequent. Otherwise, people might not know what to say after receiving one, suggesting that even one penny counts, or saying the boss is epic, which can be pretty awkward.
Xu Qingyan didn’t care much about that and never followed the three big heads when it ca to giving out red packets.
