Chapter 308: Chapter 211 Xu: It seems that by accident we have infiltrated the enemy’s ranks, if we don’t close the net soon…

Li Yang hung up the phone and trudged all the way back to the dormitory, finally relaxing once she reached the entrance.

The military training at Xinghai University had ended after the Mid-Autumn Festival, and she earned a certificate of military skills competency just before the National Day, then connected to the seven-day National Day break.

Most of the roommates had gone ho, leaving only one girl in the dorm. That girl was Min Huili, who always left early and returned late for the library, barely to be seen once she was up.

That was fine with her; nobody asked where she had been during the day.

Whoosh, she took out her keys, about to unlock the door, when she suddenly realized that the lock was already open. She was taken aback since Min Huili seed to have co back early, so she switched to knocking instead.

Half a minute later, the door opened.

The light was on inside, and Min Huili, with a towel wrapped around her head, glanced at Li Yang, her expression a bit cold.

“You’re back?”

“Yeah.” Li Yang nodded, unsure of how to start a conversation with her roommate, “You ca back so early today, didn’t go to the library?”

“Ca back to wash my hair.” Min Huili turned and headed back to her desk lit by a desk lamp, where she resud reviewing her textbooks.

Li Yang hung the plain little bag she carried on her bedpost and started to gather her clothes for a shower. As she passed by, she quickly glanced at Min Huili’s desk.

The dorm was a four-person room, designed with beds above and desks below. The orange light filled the whole desk, which was piled with various specialized books.

Min Huili was the last to move into the dorm, generally quiet and sowhat solemn. Her dress was plain and she seed not to be very well-off.

After her shower, Li Yang still had droplets of water in her hair, which she carefully dried with a towel. The dorm didn’t allow high-powered hairdryers, so she had a small one.

Whirring away, she paused to check her phone halfway through, Xu Qingyan had not sent her another ssage. She couldn’t quite pin down her feelings as she rubbed her hair with her hands.

Feeling her hair half dry yet damp, she then went to the balcony to wash her undergarnts. The dorm had a washing machine that another roommate had bought gratuitously, not asking them for money.

While she was in the middle of washing, Min Huili suddenly turned around in her chair and asked her.

“You’ve been going out every day during the holiday, have you been eting soone?”

“No, working part-ti.” Li Yang rembered Xu Qingyan’s advice to her, not to disclose which company she was working at unless directly asked.

“Handing out flyers? That does sound tough.”

Li Yang looked down, unsure of what to say, and vaguely answered.

“Sothing like that.”

Upon hearing this, Min Huili lost interest and offhandedly said as she turned back around.

“Those part-ti jobs are pointless, better to read more books.”

“Yeah.” Li Yang finished washing up and climbed up to her bed.

After scrolling through ssages for a while, she began to browse the shopping app for gifts. She didn’t know how to thank Xu Qingyan, so she decided to buy a gift for Aunt Zhang.

She couldn’t settle on an appropriate gift after much deliberation; the cheap ones didn’t seem right to give.

She wasn’t foolish, an expensive gift would be inappropriate too, considering her school money was borrowed from Aunt Zhang. After much picking and choosing, she finally placed an order for a knitting tool kit for a scarf.

She planned to knit a thick scarf for Aunt Zhang when she had free ti and send it back to her later. After placing the order, she hesitated for a mont, then placed another one.

At the beginning of October, the National Day holiday was drawing to a close.

Xu Qingyan got up early and arrived at the studio before eight o’clock, promptly booted up the computer, and, as usual, expertly entered Ji Chen geigei’s fan discussion page.

[Signed in to the fan page], five consecutive days of check-ins!

The fan discussion page had ten levels of titles, increasing sequentially. To level up, you needed points; points were gained from posting comnts, with increases for five, ten, a hundred, and bonus points for more than a hundred comnts.

The daily limit was a thousand points, with one point per highlighted post, capped at six points per day.

Xu Qingyan posted every day, his posts always featured, receiving eight or nine hundred comnts each ti, guaranteeing a daily minimum of a thousand points. His fan page title was now blazing red.

In the background, a ssage popped out.

[Congratulations, your post has been pinned by the admin.]

Unbelievable, were Ji Chen geigei’s die-hard fans this weak that casual posts from him got featured and pinned? It was like being an undercover agent only to find out the organization was hollow.

Within five days, he beca a prominent promotional writer at the top of the fan page. If he didn’t wrap up soon, he was afraid he might beco… soone who couldn’t infiltrate the core fan group unless he spent money.

A professional fan was only a higher-grade, more influential fan who had certain rights. To enter the core group, you just needed to pay four hundred thousand to beco a manager.

This was sowhat similar to a board of directors, able to manage internal fans. Regular events were organized, like raffles for signed morabilia from the idol to attract new fans.

Once new fans turned into stable fans, they could participate in higher-fidelity activities. No longer a matter of getting but giving, involving themselves in Ji Chen’s crowdfunding campaigns.

For example, Ji Chen might be attending an awards show, or participating in a program. There were activities such as voting, supporting with data, creating rchandise, and attending events to show support,

Each step, big or small, involved spending money. Without spending Gold Coins, how could Ji Chen progress?

Xu Qingyan had been added to the managent group a couple of days ago, not the kind with big fans, site sisters, and staff, but a bitter group with various peripheral sisters, writing sisters, data sisters.

Plainly put, the managers were dogs raised by the higher-ups, wantonly exploiting in the na of the idol.

Buzz buzz, as if speaking of Cao Cao, Cao Cao arrives. Just as the group’s errand manager @him,@Little Pigeon Doesn’t Eat Cilantro (Postgraduate Entrance Exam version), he was masquerading as a female college student studying for her postgraduate exams.

“Pigeon sister, can you write a long article today?”

“Ah, but I’m a bit busy today, I just ordered a cup of coffee.” Xu Qingyan typed away, striving to maintain his facade of an innocent college girl.
