Ronald turned towards Kristine and asked, ''Kris, are you asleep?''
''No'' Kristine replied. She couldn't sleep because she was nervous. This was considered her first ti of sleeping in his ho. even though they had shared the sa bed once, she still felt strange now that it was no longer at her ho but his.
''Why are you not sleeping? You must be tired from all the work you did today'' Ronald looked at her back which was turned to him.
''What about you? You have been busy throughout. Aren't you tired?''
''I am but, I can't sleep''
'' either''
''Maybe because this is our first night together since we got together. I feel so nervous''
Kristine turned to face him and smiled. ''That should be my line, but what is there to afraid of?''
''I don't want you to think I am trying to take advantage of you''
''You haven't even done anything to yet. But, I must say that you really know how to control yourself. I thought that you would try to co at now that I am in your ho but, you didn't do anything yet''
''My heart is racing, feel it'' he took her hand and placed it on his chest.
''Whoa, it is really beating fast. Ronald, we are both tired, so let's just sleep tonight''
''Yes'' he pulled her closer to himself and kissed her forehead.
''Is there sothing bothering you lately? You don't seem happy?''
''I am happy thanks to your presence in my life''
''If this is about your family, you don't need to worry about them. I won't allow their threats to separate us''
''I know. I trust you, Kristine''
''Then, can I kiss you?''
''Huh?'' Ronald looked at her, ''you really have a way of making amazed all the ti. Just when I think I am done figuring you out, you say sothing and I just feel that I didn't really know you''
''Why?''
''You are so bold'' he said and got on top of her, 'you are so bold and I love it'' he whispered in her ears and kissed her.

The next day.
Brenda and Robyn arrived at the company building and he pulled over. After they got down, he saw soone rushing towards them and quickly pushed Brenda behind him and kicked the person down.
Brenda got scared and scread as she watched Brew hold a knife at a distance. Robyn stood in front of her.
''You slut, you dare to send a summon letter? Did you think you could win against ?'' he said brandishing the knife about.
''Call her that one more ti and I will kill you'' Robyn said to Brew.
''Robyn, don't. he is holding a knife'' Brenda held his hand as the workers gathered around them.
Brew looked haggard. Since he got the summon letter yesterday, he hadn't been himself. Previously, he had had a lot of drunk driving cases which his family had intervened and solved for him but now his father had told their family lawyer not to involve himself with Brew so he was at a desperate point.
He was angry and couldn't think straight because he didn't know who to turn to. The only one he could vent out to was Brenda. He hated her so much.
''You think you are going to win just because you got yourself a lawyer and you have him by your side? Let tell you, I won't let you win''
''You are crazy, Brew. You are the one who hurt first. If you don't leave, I will ask my lawyer to get a restraining order against you'' Brenda told him and he laughed.
''Who are you kidding? You want to make pay? I will kill you before that happens'' he said and rushed towards them. Robyn t him halfway and caught the knife with his hand and held it tightly making it cut him.
Seeing this, Brenda scread, ''Robyn, don't'' she started sobbing as Robyn struggled with Brew over the knife. Brenda's phone buzzed and she took the phone out and saw the incoming call from Amber and answered, ''Amber, that man is here and he is hurting Robyn''
Robyn managed to snatch the knife away and kicked Brew away. The knife had cut him deeply and he was bleeding. When Brew saw this, he got up and turned to run away when the police car stopped in front of him and two policen got down.
''Co with, let's go to the hospital'' Brenda said and tied her handkerchief around the bleeding hand.
''Mr. Brew Gold, you are under arrest'' the policeman said to him and handcuffed him as the onlookers looked on. So were even recording the scene.
Miss Bel walked to them and looked at Robyn's hand saying, ''such a fool. It's this how you protect your girlfriend?''
''Aunt, were you the one who called the police?'' Robyn asked and Brenda looked at them.
''Aunt?'' she asked.
''Why don't you go to the hospital first. let's talk later'' Miss Bel said and Brenda nodded her head.
''Let's go, I will drive'' Brenda took the key from Robyn and opened the door for him.

At the hospital, Brenda watched as the nurse dressed the hand of Robyn. She held his other hand tightly as she looked at him.
''Does it hurt?'' she asked him.
''No, it doesn't. don't worry''
''That bastard'' she started cussing him and Robyn chuckled and touched her.
''Brenda, we are in the hospital'' Robyn reminded her and she flushed and looked at the nurse who was staring at her.
''Sorry'' Brenda said.
''It's done. You can't hold sothing heavy with your hand and also don't let water get to it or it will split again'' the nurse said.
''Sure, thank you''
''I will go and settle the bill first. wait for '' Brenda stood up and said to him.
''Okay'' Robyn smiled looking at her as she walked away.
Leaving the hospital together, Brenda looked at Robyn's hand as she drove. She was feeling guilty for what happened.
''Because of , you had to suffer and get hurt. I feel so sorry'' Brenda said.
''Ssshh, don't ever say that to or else I will punish you. Rember we are in this together. for you I am willing to take the risk, so instead of thinking about those nonsense, why don't you think about how you are going to bath because the doctor said I can't use my hand for anything right now'' he said suggestively and she flushed.
''I can't believe you have the nerve to think about such things right now. But, since it is my fault, I should take responsibility, right? I will help you. Consider it paynt for your chivalry and bravery''
''Then, I won't hesitate to get into more trouble for you since the gains are more than the hurt''
''Don't you dare go and get hurt without my consent, I will kill you''
''I won't'' Robyn's phone started ringing and Brenda pulled over.
''Let help you'' she said and removed the phone for him/
''Answer it for , it's my mother''
''Huh? Your mo mother?'' Brenda asked.
''Yes, hurry'' he urged her and she nodded and answered it, putting it to his ear. ''Hello Mom, who told you that? Whoa, aunt Bel sure knows how to scare people off. I am fine. She is with . I will bring her to see you soon, just don't go around snooping trying to find information about her. She is a lovely person, you will love her, oh bye''
''You mother must bla for hurting you, right? did I get into her bad books already?''
''No, she was just worried but she doesn't bla you. she was happy I was there with you''
''Really? She doesn't hate ?''
''No, she has no reason to hate you. my mother is just like aunt Bel. Unlike my father's side which is trash but my mother is a good person. She will love you because you are the woman I chose''

''Robyn, we just started dating'' Brenda didn't know what was stopping her. she felt that they were moving rather fast.

''Yes, let's go ho. I will make you so soup to drink, since you got hurt because of ''

Brenda kissed him lightly before turning to the car. she started the car and drove them away towards their apartnt.
