''Whoa, this place looks so beautiful'' Chloe exclaid as they walked into the resort holding their luggage.
''I give that you, Chloe. Your boss did quite a good deed this ti around'' Brenda smiled giving Chloe a thumps up.
''Tsk, he has worked her a** out these past years, this vacation was overdue'' Jenny added. They had walked a distance away and where now at the counter. Brenda turned and saw Kristine still at the entrance.
''Kris, what are you doing there? Co over quick'' she said to her.
Kristine finally looked up and saw them far away. She hastened her steps and bumped into one of two n who were also going out. The man quickly held her as she was about to fall.
''Are you alright?'' he asked.
''Yes, I'm fine. Sorry, I didn't see you earlier''
''It's alright'' he nodded and stepped aside for her to go first. As she walked away the man still looked at her and his friend asked.
''Is she soone you know, Dr. nsah?'
''En, she looks a little familiar, let's go'' he replied and walked away.
Kristine got to the counter and the rest had finished checking in.
''We finished checking in, Chloe and Jenny will share one room while you and I will share another room, let's go'' Brenda held Kristine's hand and they started walking towards their room.
''Let's tour around the mountains after settling in'' Jenny suggested.
''Sounds like a plan to '' Chloe agreed.
''I want to sleep, I'm a little tired'' Kristine said and the three looked at her.
''No. We all know what you are going to do when we leave you alone. We ca here because of you, because we are worried that you will mop around when we leave you alone. We are all going to tour around the mountains after settling down'' Brenda said in a serious tone.
''Okay''

After settling down, they changed into more comfortable attires and took small waist bags that had bought once. It ca in varied colours and their fastened them around their waists as they left for the mountains.
''We should take so pictures and post it on WeChat monts. Let that jerk know you are having fun after breaking up with him'' Chloe removed her selfie stick.
''Not just WeChat monts, we are posting more on Instagram, WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook'' Jenny pulled Kristine along as they posed for the group picture.
Seeing her friends trying to cheer her up, Kristine's gloomy mood started fading away. She smiled and pulled the girls closer to her saying, ''yes, let's take all the pictures in the world. I am going to be happy. I am free from that cheating bastard, I don't have to be on guard anymore'' she scread at the top of her voice making them laugh.
''Yes, no cheating boyfriends, just a happy life'' Brenda scread along with her.
Kristine and her friends took a lot of pictures and chatted as they took a walk around the island. Kristine suddenly felt content.
Truth was, she knew her relationship with Ray wasn't all shiny. Even though she loved him, she was still wary of him, wary of their relationship. Being in a relationship with a top star wasn't sothing she had seen herself in three years ago, but back then, she had just left her hotown to after a lot of fights and run ins with her cousins. She wanted a change and that was also when her three high school friends called her to co to D-City. after completing culinary school, she had intended to start her own business but things weren't so easy so she and Jenny who attended the sa culinary school decided to work and save money for the future. They wanted to start a business together and were working hard at it because it was their passion.
Chloe and Brenda went to colleges and one beca a secretary and the other an architect. Their lives weren't perfect and haven't been all rosy but they had been together since forever and always supported each other. They had been together in their happy monts and sad monts.
Brenda was the oldest among them but the rest were 28 years old. Kristine had thought that she was going to be the first to get married among them but it seed that wasn't going to be the case anymore as she was now not going to be the case.
Brenda had stopped believing in love after her first love and boyfriend cheated on her. Chloe had had three boyfriends in her entire lives but none of them had stuck around for long enough because she was busy with work and didn't have ti to go on dates with them. they got tired of waiting and left as they ca. Jenny was the happy pill in their circle. She had never been in a relationship before but she has a firm believe that her prince charming was going to co sooner. She always said she was saving herself for him.
Kristine was the one who had sothing going for her but it all crumbled in a second and now all of them were back to being singles.
Kristine still rembered the ti she t Ray. He had co to their restaurant for a al and a group of girls ambushed him. The crowd around him was getting bigger and he had signalled her and asked for her help. After successfully helping him to escape, they had beco friends and he would usually visit her working place to chat with her. she wasn't always one to believe in true love because of the case of Brenda but he made her believe that true love was possible.
Now that she is thinking about it, who was she kidding? A relationship between a small ti waitress and a top actor was sothing that was a far-fetched dream but she was finally awake from that dream. A relationship of three years, of which she had seen and watched him cheat on her more than she could count. He had cheated on her with other actresses but each ti she would brush it off after he apologises.
'Stupid' Kristine murmured to herself. She now understood how stupid her actions had been. She was the insufferable one after all. Even her body felt repulse each ti he tried to touch her but why did she keep things for so long?
''Look, is he going to propose?'' Jenny said and pointed at a group of people at a distance from them. They were a man and a woman standing close to each other while two other n and won also stood at a distance watching them.
''Whoa, in this day and age, people still indulge in such things?'' Brenda scoffed watching them.
''Stop been a party pooper, they will look good together'' Chloe said.
The four watched interestingly as the man started his awkward confession to the woman.
''He is so manly?'' Jenny murmured.
Kristine's phone buzzed and she looked at it and her body stiffened when she saw the caller ID. It was Ray who was calling her. she stared at it for a while not knowing what to do until the phone was snatched out of her hands and she looked up and saw Brenda walking a distance away from her and she followed.
''Hey, you scum why are you calling my darling? Have you been hit by a hamr before? You are lucky I am far away from the city, you piece of ******* and ****'' she started cussing and Kristine chuckled. Brenda finished and hung up without giving Ray the chance to talk. She turned to Kristine. ''Why are you laughing?''
''I feel so happy that I have you as friend''
''Am I only just a friend?''
''No, a sister''
''More like it. I am going to blacklist that idiot. He won't be able to get access to you again. You, if you dare go back to him after this, I am breaking up with you'' Brenda warned her.
''I won't go back. Can you bear to break up with though?''
''That's right. You are my darling, let's go'' they turned and saw the couple walking away. The lady was holding the hand of the man as they passed by them.
''Do you think it was a success?'' Kristine asked.
''It's obvious. I wish them success'' Brenda added.
''Where did you go to, we didn't find you when we turned?'' Chloe asked Kristine and Brenda when she saw them.
''We had to deal with sothing. How are we going back? we are officially lost after following Jenny's instructions'' Brenda said and Jenny frowned.
''You are the architect, shouldn't you know the path better?'' Jenny retorted.
''Is an architect God?'' Brenda asked back.
''Okay, I already asked the lady over there to show us the way. Were you two rivals in your past lives?'' Chloe asked.
''No!!
''No!!'' they both said.
''Don't say that again. Gives the chills. I wouldn't dare to fight with a construction worker over a man. What if she decides to grind and add as a mixture?''
''Coming with soone working with knives, it is quite refreshing. I should be the one afraid you might poison my breakfast one day''
''Let's go and leave them'' Kristine beckoned on Chloe and they followed the lady and man leaving the two alone.
''Are they leaving without us?'' Jenny looked at them.
''These two traitors, let's go'' Brenda held Jenny's hand and they started running after the rest.
