SAINT VILLA.
Aaron Saint opened the door and Old Master Saint rushed towards them worriedly. Aaron Saint put Mai down and Alice entered with them into the villa.
''Child, how are you? Why do you always put yourself in danger? Co, let grandpa see if you are hurt in anyway?'' Old Master Saint said sizing Mai up.
''Sit down''. Aaron Saint said to Alice and she did.
''Look at you. What are all these cuts? Did you get them because you went to save Josh?'' Old Mr. Saint asked feeling guilty.
''Grandpa, these are nothing. I will be fine after I put on so ointnt and take so dicine. I am fine. Every one worked hard to protect . Aaron Saint, Leo Martins and my brother Carlos''. Mai assured him.
''How are you fine? Aaron, quick, call Dr. Kash to co to check August'' Old Master Saint said.
''I am already here, grandpa'' Kash said after opening the door. He walked to the hall and looked at Mai adding 'I can't believe you two went against my words. Do you even see as your doctor?''
''I'm sorry Dr. Kash. This was sothing only I could do and I followed your words and got only so minor cuts. See, I am fine?'' Mai said.
''Look at you trying to patronise '' Kash said and put down his dical kit. He turned and saw a girl sitting quietly and he looked at her asking ''this is?''
''Oh, this is my childhood friend Julieta. But she is now called Alice. Dr. Kash, can you attend to her first? She took most of the hits that were ant for '' Mai said.
''Oh, I see. I didn't know you had childhood friends. Alice, right?'' Kash asked looking at the Alice.
''You can call Julieta'' Alice said and looked away. The way Kash looked at her made her feel goosebumps. No one had ever looked at her intensely like that.
Kash smiled and said. ''Okay, Julieta. Let's see how bad your cuts are'' Alice looked at Mai.
''You can trust him, Julieta. He is a good doctor'' Mai said.
''And a good man'' Kash added making Alice to blush. Alice showed him her hands and Kash saw a bruise on her stomach as she lifted her hands up and quickly lifted her sheet up startling Alice and she subconsciously held his hand twisting it sideways with a murderous look.
Kash scread and Mai turned to them. Seeing how Alice had changed, Mai walked to them and sat by Alice and said "Julieta, is okay. You are hurting him. He just wants to help you. He won't do anything else. I promise''
Alice slowly let him go and realised what she did and apologised ''I'm sorry. I didn't an to hurt you''
''I thought you were the only crazy one here, Mai'' Kash said and Mai smiled apologetically.
''Okay, Julieta. I need you to trust . I won't hurt you. I just want to take a look at your bruise. I saw a large bruise on your stomach when you lifted your shirt. Can I see it?'' Kash said.
''Dr. Kash, you can use my laboratory. Julieta is not used to being with a lot of people''. Mai said.
''Okay''. Kash said and stood up.' 'Follow , Miss''. Alice stood up and went with him.
'Mai, where is your brother. I still haven't t him yet'' Old Mr. Saint asked.
'He went to work on so transfer papers to send Mimi Garcia back to Blue Town. He will be here later'' Mai answered.
MAI'S LAB.
''Julieta, I have to ask you to remove your shirt. Your bruise shows that you are more hurt than I thought''. Kash told her as they sat facing each other.
Alice looked at him sceptically saying ''do I really have to do that? Can't you just prescribe so dicine for to take? You don't have to be concerned about my bruise''.
''I am a doctor; I can't give you dicine without a proper diagnosis. You can trust . I am not a pervert who wants to look at your body''. Kash said and opened his dical kit.
''I didn't say that''. Alice retorted and glared at him.
''Your eyes said that. You almost dislocated my arm because I lifted your shirt''.
''That was because I was startled''. Alice refuted back.
''Alright. Now, with your permission, can you remove your shirt please?'' Kash smiled.
Alice stood up and turned her back to Kash and removed her shirt. Kash saw a snake tattoo on her and was shocked. It made him blush. Alice put the shirt on the table leaving only her sports bra on. Her stomach was flat and she had abs due to the intense training she always did. She looked fit if not for the large bruise that covered her left stomach side. It had beco purplish blue.
Kash imdiately sank into his role ignoring the jittery feeling he had before. He looked at the bruise with a serious gaze making Alice to blush. Kash frowned as he asked.
''Can I touch that? When did you get this hurt? Why didn't you go to the hospital before it beca this bad?'' Kash asked all questions at once. He had never seen anyone get this hurt besides August Maijune but Alice's bruise seed to be from a long ti. He wondered how long she had kept it within her.
''Can you ask one question at a ti? Which one am I supposed to answer first?'' Alice asked back.
''All of them. Answer all of them and be truthful. I need to know what happened to be able to treat you''. Kash said while touching the bruise.
''I got bruised while I was fighting a group of bandits that raided an orphanage three days ago. I didn't go to the hospital because I was already on the wanted list of criminals''. Alice said.
''I see. from now onwards, co to when you get hurt. But, it doesn't an you should get into fights. Call the police when you et any danger orcall ''. Kash said flustered at himself for saying such things. Alice was equally flustered hearing sothing like that from him. They had just t today and he was acting like they were close.
''Is it bad? The bruise?'' Alice asked trying to get rid of the awkward silence among them.
''Mmn, but nothing I can't handle. Since its been only a few days. It will go away once you start taking dicine. I will write them down and Aaron will get them for you later on. Here is my card, you can call anyti you need dical help''. Kash stuffed his business card into Alice's hand and looked away adding ''you can put your shirt back on''.
''Oh''. Alice wore her shirt and spoke 'is that all?''
''Yes, for now. But, what you were you two thinking? Fighting a group of n alone?'' Kash asked seemingly annoyed.
''Why are you the one getting angry when you weren't even the one who was beaten? Besides, it was a matter of life and death. Do you know how dangerous the situation was?'' Alice couldn't understand why he was annoyed and angry.
''Exactly, is because I knew how dangerous it was that is why I am annoyed. How old are you anyway?'' Kash asked.
'Sa age as August''. Alice answered.
''You're still a kid''. Kash said as he closed the kit.
''Is being 25 years ans I am a kid? What about you, Mr. Doctor?'' Alice retorted.
''? I am 35 years old and that makes 10 years your senior kiddo''.
Alice frowned and kept quiet but a thought crossed her mind and she said ''then you are quite old Mr. Doctor. I don't see a ring on your finger. You are so old and still not married?''
''Why are you curious about whether I'm married or not? Do you want to marry ?'' Kash said and looked at her with a smirk. Alice flushed and stepped back saying.
''No. Why would I want to marry you? We just t today?''
''Then, would you have agreed to marry if we had t long ago? Don't worry. Younger girls are not my type. In short, you are not my type''. Kash said and picked up the kit to go out and Alice asked.
''Why? Why am I not your type? Is it because I am not pretty enough or because I like fighting? Or is it because of my scar'' She felt hurt sohow hearing him say she wasn't his type.
''No. Is not because you are not pretty. In fact, you are very pretty. When I look at you, I don't see any scar. I just see you. A pretty woman''. Kash stopped and said.
''Then, why am I not your type? If I am not your type. Then, what is your type?'' Alice asked.
''You really are worked up over what my type is little Miss. Just to satisfy your curiosity I will tell you. Bad won are my type. Aside from fighting, everything about you is innocent''. Kash said and went out smiling to himself.
''What?'' Alice said went after him.
