When she arrived at the Fu Mansion, Fu Weiheng was in the living room accompanying Ye Fan with painting. He sat on the sofa, long legs bent, elbows resting on his knees, with his proportionate, slightly hunched back faintly visible under the iron-grey cashre sweater.

Su Wan stood at the entrance, only hearing his voice deepening before he began to cough lowly again.

She hurriedly took off her shoes, not bothering to put on slippers, and rushed to his side.

Fu Weiheng covered his mouth while coughing. Upon looking up, he saw Su Wan standing before him at so point without slippers on her feet. He was about to speak but was choked by a sudden rush of air, causing him to cough even harder.

Su Wan panicked, raised her hand to lightly pat his back to help soothe him, and with the other hand, she offered the warm water from the coffee table to his lips.

After drinking the large cup of warm water, Fu Weiheng finally eased a bit, his gaze falling on her unshod feet, furrowing his brows tightly, "Why aren’t you wearing slippers again?" Saying this, he was about to take off his own cotton slippers for her to wear.

Su Wan, seeing this, quickly turned and ran back to the entrance, mumbling to herself, "I’ll wear them, I’ll wear them, I’ll wear them, you just sit, you just sit, you just sit..."

Fu Weiheng: "..."

Ye Fan couldn’t help but giggle, "Aunt, are you chanting a mantra?"

Fu Weijin, who had just co in from parking, happened to hear Ye Fan’s words and chid in, "Chanting what mantra?"

"Mom!" The little girl imdiately bead with joy, trotting her short legs over to her mother’s embrace to act spoiled.

Fu Weiheng also stood up and walked over, pulling Su Wan, "To the music room."

Su Wan: "...Oh."

Once inside the music room, Fu Weiheng went straight to the bookshelf, lifted a large case, and placed it in front of Su Wan.

Su Wan gazed at the suddenly appearing cello case, stunned for a mont, "This..."

"Open it and try the instrunt." He patted the case and laid it down.

Su Wan opened the case, gently plucking the four strings. A rich sound imdiately resonated; it was a new cello. She caressed the instrunt, noting its incredibly fine craftsmanship, the wood’s color a reddish-brown. She lifted the cello and grasped the bow, standing as she casually played a scale. The sound was crystal clear, the bridge height was just right, and pressing the strings wasn’t strenuous. Based on her past experiences choosing cellos, Su Wan knew that this one wasn’t cheap.

Besides Ye Fan, no one else in the Fu family played the cello, and Ye Fan was still young, using just a 1/4 size instrunt, so this cello...

Suddenly realizing sothing, she looked up at him, "Neil, you..."

Fu Weiheng, guessing what she was about to ask, preemptively said, "The cello is too heavy, and it’s exhausting for you to always carry it to the Fu Mansion, so this instrunt is here for you to use for lessons."

Su Wan’s expression relaxed, letting out a breath, placing the cello down, and hugging him gently, "Neil, you’re so good."

This phrase seed like sothing she had said countless tis, but besides the words "you’re so good," she really didn’t know what else to say.

Fu Weiheng embraced her smoothly, his voice coming out muffled as he reminded, "I have a cold."

"It’s fine." Su Wan indifferently reassured him, tilting her head as if to kiss him, when suddenly two light coughs ca from outside the door.

Fu Weijin held Ye Fan in one arm, covered Ye Fan’s eyes with the other, and in a mockingly serious tone, said, "Not suitable for children, Fanfan cannot watch."

Su Wan was startled, leaping out of his arms as if she was shot from a slingshot, moving far away.

Fu Weiheng, sowhat displeased, spoke in dissatisfaction, "Fu Weijin, do you have nothing better to do?"

Fu Weijin defended himself uprightly, "Hey, hey, hey, let’s be reasonable, Mr. Fu. Wanwan ca to teach my Fanfan today."

Ye Fan earnestly put on a serious face, imitating her mother’s tone, "Yes, Uncle, you should be reasonable. Auntie ca to give a lesson."

Fu Weiheng and Su Wan: "..."

Fu Weijin helplessly dragged him out of the music room.

Though it was a new instrunt, Su Wan adapted to it extrely quickly. By the end of the lesson, she had thoroughly familiarized herself with the positions and pitch without any discomfort. Afterwards, she packed up the cello, placing it back where it belonged, and took Ye Fan to the living room.

Fu Weiheng wasn’t there, only Fu Weijin was alone in the living room arranging flowers. Upon hearing the footsteps, she didn’t pause her movents, turning her head slightly to glance, "Wanwan, class is over? Neil is upstairs, he’s probably asleep, go check on him."

Su Wan glanced up the iron staircase, hesitated for a mont, emphasizing, "Then I’ll just check and co down."

Fu Weijin smiled, leading Ye Fan over, urging her, "Go, go, go."

Su Wan ascended step by step. Having stayed here before, she knew which room was his.

Upon reaching his room’s door, her heart began to race unintentionally, growing inexplicably nervous.

Even though she had already slept in God’s apartnt bed...

She gently knocked on the door, waited for a while, but received no response. Carefully, she turned the doorknob, courageously stepping inside, then quickly turned back to close the door, calming her breathing before slowly turning back around.

Fu Weiheng lay on the large bed, slightly turned to the side, the quilt covering his shoulders. He seed to be in a deep sleep. Tiptoeing to the bedside, she crouched down to face him.

His handso face appeared sowhat haggard due to the illness. From this close distance, she could clearly see his deep eye sockets and the dense, long lashes. His serene and steady sleeping face was extrely different from his usual aloof and proud deanor that warded strangers away.

Impulsively, Su Wan reached out to touch his face.

His skin is so nice.

Going down, following the contour line, she caressed his slightly dry lips, and a thought popped into Su Wan’s mind, causing her to unconsciously swallow twice.

Just a kiss, just a kiss.

She slowly straightened up, held her breath, leaned close to him, gently pressed her lips against his, and lingered for a mont.

Warm, cool, and dry sensation.

However, just as she was about to leave, Fu Weiheng, who was supposedly asleep, suddenly opened his eyes, startling Su Wan so much she jerked as if she had been shocked, instinctively trying to stand up.

Fu Weiheng, quick to react, grabbed her hand and pulled her back, causing her to fall onto him and raising his head to kiss her again.

Caught red-handed after stealing a kiss, Su Wan was too embarrassed to find a place to hide. She struggled twice in his arms to get up, but Fu Weiheng hooked his long leg around her and pulled her into the covers, tightly hugging her.

"You even learned to launch a sneak attack? Hmm?" His husky voice was slightly unsteady.

Su Wan felt his burning body temperature and reminded him, "Neil, you have a fever."

"It’s nothing." He kissed her forehead, his deep voice carrying a hint of pleading, "Wanwan, stay with tonight, will you?"

Su Wan imdiately felt that her face was hotter than his body. After thinking for a while, she replied, "Okay."

Fu Weiheng was montarily stunned, sowhat surprised at her straightforwardness.

"However, you need to take your dicine first, you have a fever." Her soft voice was muffled from his chest, and Fu Weiheng, in a good mood, agreed to anything, "Okay, as you say."

After watching Fu Weiheng finish his dicine, it was almost alti, and Fu Weijin brought up so porridge.

After dinner, Su Wan took the dishes downstairs, then returned to the room to check Fu Weiheng’s temperature again.

37.8.

Although not as severe as before, there was still a slight fever. Su Wan frowned and pulled the blanket over him tightly, "Neil, stay like this, and sweat a little. It will help."

Fu Weiheng stared at her with deep eyes, "Wanwan, there’s another way to sweat."

Opening her mouth, Su Wan didn’t have ti to ask what thod, as Fu Weiheng pulled her down, hugging her in his arms, "Lie down, sleep with ."

Su Wan: "..."

After lying with him for a while, Su Wan got up to take a shower. After coming out, she sat on the bed and sent a ssage to the dorm chat group: ... I won’t be coming back tonight. God is sick. (°_°)

Xu Chengyang replied instantly.

God’s Bestie Little Chengyang: "God is sick???"

Swan: "Yes, he has a fever."

It’s Yao Ye not Sway: "Is he better now?"

Swan: "He still has a slight fever."

God’s Bestie Little Chengyang: "If that’s the case, Su Beauty, I grant you permission to not return to the dorm tonight. You must take good care of God; don’t waste my good intentions."

It’s Yao Ye not Sway: "Su Beauty, you’ve worked hard."

Su Wan, unwilling: "Why aren’t you worried about ?"

It’s Yao Ye not Sway: "Worried about what? You’re not going to eat God."

God’s Bestie Little Chengyang: "If anyone’s eating anyone, it’s God eating you. Besides, even if God eats you, he’s such an outstanding man; you might as well enjoy it, Wanwan!"

Swan: "..."

Poor choice of friends! Poor choice of friends! Poor choice of friends!!!

...

By bedti, Fu Weiheng’s fever had almost subsided, so Su Wan felt relieved and prepared to go back to the guest room to sleep. However, Mr. Fu, now recovered, had no intention of letting her go. He pulled her back into the bed, hugging her tightly and said shalessly, "I can’t sleep, talk with ."

Su Wan, a bit drowsy, leaned in his arms, warm and secure, and she couldn’t fight off the sleepiness any longer, murmuring, "Hmm, you talk..."

Fu Weiheng was silent for a long while before speaking softly, "Wanwan."

She mumbled indistinctly, "Hmm..."

He said, "I love you."
