The dinner ended with an exceptionally harmonious and pleasant atmosphere.

At the dining table, Mr. Qin sat at the head, Qin Yan across from him, with Su Yue and Qin Mu on Mr. Qin’s left side, Fu Weiheng on his right, and Su Wan quietly eating beside Fu Weiheng.

Initially, Su Wan was worried that Fu Weiheng might feel restrained, so while picking up dishes for herself, she also served so to him a few tis. But seeing him soon engrossed in conversation with Mr. Qin, she realized she was overthinking and simply focused on her own al quietly.

Mr. Qin took a sip of his white liquor, smiling kindly, "I heard from Wanwan that you’re a musician?"

Fu Weiheng had just picked a piece of fish with his chopsticks and placed it in his bowl, then smiled modestly, "I just play a bit of piano, nothing that makes a musician."

Su Wan humd inwardly: Just a few days ago, he was still teasing her about being a musician!

Su Yue asked, "So are you still involved with music now?"

Fu Weiheng carefully removed the bones from the fish piece in his bowl as he replied, "I had to take over so company business, so I haven’t played in several years."

Su Wan swallowed her food and interjected, "Our orchestra has a concert in March at the Yanchuan Grand Theater, and he’s going to be performing."

Qin Mu was pleasantly surprised, "So, brother-in-law, you’re making a return to the classical music scene?"

Fu Weiheng placed the deboned piece of fish into Su Wan’s bowl and said calmly, "It’s just joining the orchestra’s performance as a way to practice and have fun."

At the sa ti, the four others at the table watched Su Wan casually picking up and eating the deboned fish, and they all simultaneously fell silent.

There was both surprise and a touch of sentint.

The surprise was how attentively Fu Weiheng cared for Su Wan, who was clearly used to it.

The sentint was for how much Fu Weiheng cherished Su Wan.

Su Yue observed all this and found herself growing more approving of Fu Weiheng.

Mr. Qin smiled broadly, "Planning to get married?"

Fu Weiheng replied earnestly, "Naturally." He paused for a mont, then spoke frankly, "Actually, this visit is to formally propose to all of you."

"Pfft—"

Su Wan almost spat out the soup she was drinking.

He actually proposed!

Qin Mu was so surprised he simply opened his mouth soundlessly, pulled out his phone, and pretended to be natural as he posted a mont on social dia—

[Mumu Baby: Witnessing my brother-in-law’s proposal mont!]

[Picture: A half-eaten fish]

Comnts followed—

[A: "Oh my, your beautiful sister is getting married?"]

[B: "I was planning to pursue your sister right after high school exams!"]

[C: "So your brother-in-law is a fish? Or... half a fish?"]

[It’s Yao Ye not Yao Ye: "Just one year gone! What did I miss?"]

[D: "Is your brother-in-law the violinist Fu Weiheng you once ntioned having a thing with your sister?!!!"]

[E: "Oh my gosh, at least post your brother-in-law’s face! Why the fish?"]

[Jinjin’s Chengyang: "Damn! God what’s the rush?! Your sister isn’t pregnant, right?! Ahhh!"]

...

However, Qin Mu saw none of these comnts.

Because just as she finished posting, she heard Fu Weiheng soberly add, "This visit was a bit rushed, and I’m not adequately prepared, but my intention to marry Wanwan is genuine, and nothing will be lacking. When Wanwan graduates, I will co back with my family to formally propose again."

Although Fu Weiheng grew up abroad, he was more concerned with customs and etiquette than anyone else.

After all, when it cos to Su Wan, he’s more serious about it than anything else.

Mr. Qin and Su Yue were sowhat taken aback, not having the chance to respond when Qin Yan, silent for a long ti, unexpectedly spoke up, "Nothing will be lacking?"

Everyone turned to look at Qin Yan.

Su Wan felt a bit apprehensive that nothing good ever cos out of Qin Yan’s mouth, so she kicked him lightly under the table and winked, indicating for him to stop, but he ignored her, directly addressing Fu Weiheng, "For example?"

Fu Weiheng smiled, "I’ve already had a prenuptial agreent drafted, transferring ninety percent of my business shares to Wanwan. Even though I firmly believe that nothing will go wrong in our marriage, the agreent explicitly states that regardless of whose fault it might be, I would leave with nothing if we were to divorce."

Upon hearing this, Su Wan looked up sharply at him, "You..."

Fu Weiheng rely pressed his lips into a smile at her, then turned to face Qin Yan, "What do you think?"

Qin Yan shrugged with a smile, having nothing left to say.

He’s said so much, what else can he say?

Su Yue was stunned for a mont, then smiled at Fu Weiheng, "We don’t have many objections, everything depends on Wanwan."
