Early the next morning, as the sky began to brighten, the morning light sneaked through the small gap between the slightly open curtains, illuminating a soft corner of the plush carpet.
Two knocks sounded on the door from outside.
Fu Weiheng always slept lightly. He opened his eyes impatiently upon hearing the knocks, glanced at Su Wan, who was still deeply asleep beside him, and then looked at the digital alarm clock by the bed.

"Wanwan, are you up?" A gentle female voice ca through the wooden door from outside.
Fu Weiheng frowned. He wasn’t fully awake, but he still got out of bed quietly to open the door.
Just as Fu Weijin was about to knock a second ti, the door suddenly opened from the inside. Fu Weijin looked up with a smile, but it froze when she saw Fu Weiheng towering over her with ssy hair and a face full of displeasure.
His deep, magnetic voice carried a hint of annoyance as he looked down at Fu Weijin and asked, "What do you want?"
Fu Weijin snapped out of her daze and exclaid, "Why are you in Wanwan’s room!"
Fu Weiheng imdiately covered her mouth, instinctively glancing at the person soundly sleeping on the bed.
Fortunately, she just furrowed her brows slightly and continued to sleep quietly.
Fu Weiheng closed the door, then turned to give Fu Weijin a cold glare. "Why are you shouting?"
Fu Weijin batted his hand away, peeked inside, and lowered her voice with a teasing smile, "Be careful not to overindulge."
"What nonsense are you thinking?" Fu Weiheng replied irritably, "Why are you knocking so early in the morning?"
Fu Weijin finally rembered her purpose, "Oh! I ca to ask Wanwan to go shopping for clothes. Aren’t you taking her to the airport to pick up mom and dad this afternoon? I’ll help her choose so outfits and do her makeup, so she looks nice when eting Ms. Mu."
Fu Weiheng frowned again, rejecting her idea: "No need." He then pushed open the door and walked back inside, adding as he closed it, "My wife is already stunning."
Fu Weijin: "..."
Fu Weiheng climbed back into bed and held Su Wan as he continued to sleep. Recently, he’d been busy traveling for business, barely sleeping five hours a day, and had trouble sleeping well in unfamiliar hotel beds. Now that he was finally ho, he intended to catch up on his rest.
When he next awoke, it was past nine o’clock.
Fu Weiheng went to his own room to wash his face and brush his teeth, while Su Wan retrieved so items from the suitcase and went to the bathroom to freshen up.
Five minutes later, Su Wan erged from the bathroom feeling refreshed, staring at the open suitcase on the floor.

Ten minutes later, Mr. Fu ca knocking: "Wanwan, are you ready?"
Su Wan, just having pulled on a sweater with her hair frizzed from static, smoothed it down and responded through the door, "Neil, you go ahead. I’ll be down shortly."
From outside ca a deep reply: "Alright."
When Su Wan ca downstairs, she saw Fu Weiheng sitting alone in the dining room, sipping coffee as he browsed his phone. Hearing footsteps, he turned to look at her.
She wore a brown turtleneck sweater that reached past her knees, with a white cashre coat over it. Her long hair was slightly curled, cascading over her shoulders, and light makeup adorned her delicate face, making her look fresh and elegant.
Fu Weiheng curved his lips into a smile, taking another sip of coffee in a good mood.

Noticing Fu Weiheng’s appreciative gaze, Su Wan looked herself over from top to bottom and approached him, hesitantly asking, "Is this... okay?"
He responded, "Yes, it’s fine. Sit down and eat."
Su Wan pulled out a chair and sat down.
Just then, Fu Weijin returned from outside and, seeing the two sitting across from each other in the dining room, walked over, "Did you sleep well, Wanwan?"
Su Wan looked up, eting Fu Weijin’s eyes full of playfulness.
She nodded with a smile, "I slept very well."
Fu Weijin’s smile deepened, and her gaze shifted from Fu Weiheng’s face as she pulled out the chair next to Su Wan, leaning in to whisper, "Did you sleep with Neil last night?"
"Cough cough cough..."
Su Wan was caught off guard and choked on her milk, her face turning red.
Fu Weiheng shot a sharp glance over: "Fu Weijin..."
Fu Weijin awkwardly smiled and lifted her hand to pat Su Wan’s back, helping her catch her breath, "Take it easy, take it easy."
After a while, Su Wan cald down. She covered her mouth and asserted firmly, "We didn’t do anything, really."
Fu Weijin blinked, clearly not convinced, "I know, I know."
Su Wan: "You don’t know..."
Fu Weiheng frowned, "Fu Weijin, shut up."
The latter remained unfazed, propping her head up with a smile, "I knocked on your door early this morning to ask you to go shopping for clothes and get dressed up before eting my parents."
