735 Are You Feeling Sad?
Bai Xi Xi stayed in the room while watching her brother explain a few matters about the patient. She listened to them for a while and learned a little bit about Fu Chen’s aunt’s condition.
Her gaze fell on the woman’s face. Bai Xi Xi could not help thinking that Fu Chen’s aunt was really good-looking. It was not strange for her to give birth to a few obedient and cute children.
Once her brother was done speaking with Fu Chen’s parents, Bai Xi Xi stood up and walked over to her brother’s side, wanting to leave with him.
“Miss Bai, rember to co and visit again when you co to the hospital,” Qin Ruan spoke. The smile on her face was especially gentle. “Sotis, Aunt would get bored staying here alone with no one to talk to. It will be good to have soone to talk to .”
Bai Xi Xi nodded. “Then, I will co and visit you again.” She knew that Fu Chen’s family had only moved to Y City not too long ago. The mont they arrived, Fu Chen’s mother was busying herself to look after her sick family mbers. She wouldn’t have ti to make any friends in Y City.
Qin Ruan could not hide her smile upon hearing her answer.
After exchanging a few more words with Fu Chen’s mother, Bai Xi Xi finally left the room with her brother. As she closed the door behind her, Bai Xi Xi did not miss the small interaction between Fu Chen and his parents.
A faint smile curled on her lips.
She couldn’t help thinking that Fu Chen had a really good relationship with his parents.

Her brother’s office was not that far from the wardroom.
Bai Xi Xi entered the room and placed the food she brought with her on his table. “Initially, my sister-in-law wanted to deliver the food herself. But Jing Jing caught a fever.”
His brow furrowed. “Jing Jing caught a fever? How is she? Is she alright?” Bai Qi grabbed his phone from his pocket and started to look at the ssage.
There were a few from his wife, telling him that their daughter had a fever and she had sent Bai Xi Xi to deliver so food for him.
“Mmm... when I left, Jing Jing was still good. It’s just that, she wanted to stay with her mother all the ti,” Bai Xi Xi said. “My sister-in-law already give her so dicine and monitor her condition.”
Bai Qi gave his wife a phone call and asked about their daughter’s condition. Hearing that the little girl’s condition was better finally made him feel more at ease.
His daughter was very active and liked to run around. However, once she did not feel well, she liked to stay close to her mother and sleep with her.
Bai Qi glanced at his wristwatch and thought about heading ho a little early. He will have to ask his colleague to cover his shift. Fortunately, he was not busy on the weekend.
He knew that his wife would be tired, looking after Bai Jing Jing.
His gaze shifted to the docunts on his table again. Bai Qi thought that he should be able to finish his work sooner.
When he looked up again, Bai Qi noticed that his little sister was staring out the window with a dazed look on her face.
Bai Qi was about to speak when he recalled the look on his sister’s face when she looked at the Fu family earlier.
Heaving a soft sigh, Bai Qi walked over to his sister’s side and patted her on her hair. He waited for her to look at him and asked, “What are you thinking about?”
Bai Xi Xi did not answer. However, the image of Fu Chen’s aunt lying on the bed ca to her mind again. Then, she began to think about his parents who were looking after his aunt and the kids at the sa ti.
Seeing that her brother was standing close to her, Bai Xi Xi lowered her head before leaning her head on her brother’s arms.
“What’s wrong?” Bai Qi continued to pat his sister’s head gently. He could sense that his sister’s mood was a little wrong.
“Mmm, nothing. I just recalled how you are very good to .”
Bai Qi chuckled. “You’re my only sister. Of course, I have to be good to you.”
Bai Xi Xi pulled away and stared at her brother. “I was just thinking about Fu Chen’s family.”
The look on Bai Qi’s face changed upon hearing that his sister was thinking about her classmate. Bai Qi had t Fu Chen a few tis. Each ti that he looked at him, he would feel a bit uncomfortable.
It was the first ti that his sister was close to a boy and he could not help but overthink.
“Brother, I t Fu Chen’s siblings not too long ago,” Bai Xi Xi said. Then, she told her brother about Fu Chen’s absence and how he was looking after his siblings. “His aunt is quite pitiful. But fortunately, she had her family who supported her.”
Bai Xi Xi could feel that the siblings should be missing their mothers.
It was then that Bai Qi understood what his sister was thinking about.
His sister should be thinking of that ti when they have no other person but each other. As the thought ca to his mind, Bai Qi pulled his sister into a hug.
“Are you feeling sad?”
Bai Qi thought that his sister no longer thought about their life in the past and how she had grown up without a parent. But it seed that his little sister was still thinking about this matter.
“I’m not.” Bai Xi Xi looked at her brother and put on a smile. “I have you and everyone else. How can I feel sad? I was just thinking about how you have looked after . Brother, I am very fortunate to have you as my brother.”
It was just that... seeing Fu Chen’s aunt and rembering the siblings made her recall the period when she only have her brother.
“Mmm... that’s right.” Bai Qi pinched his sister on the cheek. “Xi Xi, you have to rember that you have a lot of people who cared about you. Whatever it is, you will have us with you.”
