726 Caught in the Act!
With her brother and sister-in-law’s help, Bai Xi Xi entered the house.
The mont the three of them entered, they all stopped upon seeing the scene in front of them.
Bai Jing Jing was looking back at them with her eyes wide. She was in the middle of climbing up her playpen and was not expecting her mother to co over very soon.
Moreover, her father and aunt were also around.
Oh no! She was caught in the act!
Bai Jing Jing panicked for a few seconds. Then, her lips curled into a smile. “Aunt!”
The three adults watched the little girl helplessly. Even if they wanted to scold the little girl for climbing up her playpen, they could not bear to. Bai Jing Jing was smart enough to know that playing cute would let her get away with certain things.
Zhang Li Xue let her husband hold Bai Xi Xi before she went over to pick up her daughter.
Her daughter was dressed in a cotton dress but was behaving like a little monkey.

But then again, Zhang Li Xue often heard from her mother that she too behaved like her daughter when she was young. They were the kind who liked to run around and cannot be restrained. Therefore, Zhang Li Xue could not complain as her daughter was probably following in her footsteps.
“Jing Jing, what are you doing?” Zhang Li Xue looked at her daughter with her eyes narrowed.
Bai Jing Jing scanned her surroundings. In the end, she figured that the only person who can help her at this mont was no other than her gentle aunt.
The little girl stretched her tiny arms to Bai Xi Xi and batted her eyes, trying to look pitiful. “Aunt! I miss you!”
Zhang Li Xue did not know whether to laugh or cry. She had long noticed how this girl would look for her aunt whenever she realized that she was in trouble.
Bai Jing Jing seed to have known that the nicest person in the room was her aunt.
“You can’t ask your aunt to carry you,” Zhang Li Xue spoke.
Tears glistened in her eyes as Bai Jing Jing heard her mother’s words. She thought that her mother was angry and would not let her play with her aunt because she was caught climbing her playpen.
Bai Jing Jing looked at her aunt again and reached for her hand. “Aunt!” Her voice sounded like she was going to cry soon if her mother did not let her aunt hold her.
Zhang Li Xue heaved a sigh. Then, she pointed at Bai Xi Xi’s ankle. “Jing Jing, your aunt’s ankle is injured. She’s in pain. Therefore, she cannot carry you at this ti.”
Bai Jing Jing sniffled as she tried to process the words that her mother just said. Then she realized that one of her aunt’s legs was not touching the ground.
Her brow furrowed for a long ti. Bai Jing Jing looked at her aunt again. “Aunt is hurt?”
Bai Xi Xi nodded. “Un. My leg is in pain.”
Bai Qi led his sister to sit on the couch.
Then, Bai Jing Jing struggled to get off her mother’s arms. Once she was placed on the ground, Bai Jing Jing went to her aunt’s side and stared at her aunt’s ankle for a long ti.
Bai Xi Xi took her ti to explain to the little girl how she had fallen and injured herself.
After hearing this, Bai Jing Jing tried to poke her aunt’s ankle a few tis and Bai Xi Xi pretended that her touch made her ankle very painful.
The little girl was so scared that she started to blow at the injured place a few tis, hoping that it would help her aunt to heal faster.
Seeing this made Bai Xi Xi feel touched.
Everyone in the family including this little baby loved her very much.
Bai Xi Xi carried the little girl and placed her on her lap. But then, Bai Jing Jing moved to the side.
“Mommy said no.” Bai Jing Jing stared at her aunt’s ankle. “Aunt is in pain.”
Bai Xi Xi could not help but kiss the little girl’s face a few tis.
How is her Jing Jing so adorable and considerate?
“I’ll go and get so ice,” Bai Qi said. He looked at his sister and spoke, “You should press them on your ankle for a while.”
Without waiting for her reply, Bai Qi turned around and headed to the kitchen. After a while, Zhang Li Xue followed her husband to the kitchen and watch as he put so ice into smaller bags.
Bai Qi turned and saw that his wife was pouring a glass of water. He pursed his lips, thinking about the young man who lived nearby.
“Li Xue, did you know about Xi Xi’s new classmate?”
“Which classmate?” Zhang Li Xue answered absentmindedly.
“A boy called Fu Chen.”
Zhang Li Xue paused. Then, she quickly composed herself and told herself to act normal.
Of course, she knew about Fu Chen and had t him at their school previously. However, Zhang Li Xue did not know if she could tell Bai Qi about the gossip between Bai Xi Xi and Fu Chen.
She had promised Bai Xi Xi that she would not tell her brother about that gossip.
“I know him. I t him the last ti I ca to Xi Xi’s school to pick her up.”
Zhang Li Xue would sotis go to Bai Xi Xi’s school to pick her up whenever she missed her. Therefore, Bai Qi did not think that it was strange to hear that his wife was going to his sister’s school.
“Xi Xi said that he’s a newly transferred student in her class.” Zhang Li Xue looked at her husband. “Why are you asking about this?”
“Do you think that there is sothing going on between them?” Bai Qi asked.
Zhang Li Xue chuckled. She put down the glass of water and walked over to Bai Qi’s side. “Are you worried that your sister would start to date?”
The dark look on Bai Qi’s face told her that she had guessed it right.
She wanted to remind Bai Qi that his sister was at the age where it was normal for her to be in a relationship with a boy. However, she also knew that saying this would make Bai Qi alard.
“Brother Bai Qi, don’t you think that you are thinking too much?” Her lips tilted up into a teasing smile. “You are already this protective towards your little sister. I wonder how you would react if your daughter suddenly brings ho a guy.”
His eyes flickered.
Bai Qi could not imagine his daughter bringing a guy ho and introducing him as her boyfriend.
His daughter was only a year old but Bai Qi was already planning not to make his daughter’s boyfriend’s life easier.
