723 Her Brother Appear
After going away for a while, the nurse finally returned to the infirmary.
She looked at Fu Chen and smiled. “Thank you for helping to look after the infirmary. Did anyone co to look for while I am away?”
“A student ca and ask for so plasters. I found them in the first aid kit and gave it to the student. Is that alright?” Fu Chen asked cautiously.
The nurse nodded. “It’s alright.” She walked over to her desk and sat down to drink so water. “Sorry that I was away for too long. The student from earlier probably passed out from tiredness. I have to stay there and wait for the ambulance to co to pick him up.”
“Is his condition serious?” Bai Xi Xi asked.
“He was already awake a while ago, but the teachers decided to take him to the hospital for a thorough check-up.” The Nurse stood up again and walked over to Bai Xi Xi to observe her ankle. A sigh of relief escaped her upon noticing that the injury did not look that bad. “How are you feeling? Does it still hurt?”
“It doesn’t hurt that much,” Bai Xi Xi said. “I think I can move my ankle around.”
“Alright. Even if you feel fine, you should still take a rest. Don’t put too much pressure on this foot for a couple of days, you know?” The nurse reminded her. “It’s best to let it heal properly.”
Bai Xi Xi nodded obediently. “I understand.”

“That’s right. How are you going to return ho after this?” The Nurse asked. “Will soone co and pick you up? Or should I give you a lift?”
“I already called a family mber to pick up after this.”
It was then that the nurse felt more at ease. She turned to Fu Chen and smiled, “Student, you can leave if you want to. You don’t have to stay here.”
Fu Chen shifted his gaze to Bai Xi Xi. “If it’s alright, can I stay here until Class Monitor’s family mber co to pick her up? Otherwise, I would be worried.”
The nurse chuckled upon hearing Fu Chen’s words. “Of course.” She gave Fu Chen another look over and smiled. The young boy in front of her was quite good-looking and the young girl resting on the bed was quite beautiful.
Seeing that Fu Chen wanted to stay around and look after Bai Xi X, the nurse had misunderstood them as sweethearts.
Bai Xi Xi cleared her throat. “Actually, you don’t have to stay here and wait for .”
Fu Chen looked at her with a serious look in his eyes. “How can it be? After all, you were injured because of .”
Bai Xi Xi wanted to argue, but the words she wanted to say died in her throat when the nurse spoke again.
“Student, what is your na?” the nurse asked. She only knew that Fu Chen was a newly transferred student, but did not know his na.
“My na is Fu Chen.”
The nurse nodded. “Fu Chen... Then, since you are here, would you mind helping with a few things?” Her lips turned to a smile. The nurse then pointed to a few cardboard boxes at the side. “You’re quite tall, can you help to put so boxes on top of the shelf?”
Fu Chen followed the nurse’s line of gaze. “Of course.” He walked over to the side and started to lift the box as per the nurse’s instruction.
“Fortunately, you are around to help,” the nurse spoke. “I have been wanting to put them on the shelf for a while, but it was really hard to carry them while climbing up the stairs.”
Fu Chen rely smiled. From the look of it, it seed that he was now used to having people asking him to do this sort of task because of his height.
“Was the box heavy?” the nurse asked again. “There are a few supplies in there. Be careful and don’t get injured.”
“It’s not heavy at all.”
“That’s good. Hey, your arms looked quite muscular. Did you often work out?”
Hearing the nurse’s words, Bai Xi Xi subconsciously looked at Fu Chen and saw him lifting up the box to put it on the top shelf. His movent made his muscle ripples and Bai Xi Xi could see the muscular arms the nurse was talking about.
Then, she was reminded of how Fu Chen had carried her piggyback from the basketball court to the infirmary. It seed that Fu Chen was quite strong.
Bai Xi Xi lowered her gaze to shake off the thoughts from her mind.
Knock! Knock!
The sound made everyone turn to look at the door.
“Co on in,” the nurse spoke languidly.
The door was pushed open and Teacher Du appeared at the door with a tall young man behind her.
Bai Xi Xi inhaled a deep breath upon noticing that her brother had arrived.
Just now, she was considering calling her sister-in-law and asking her to pick her up. However, Bai Xi Xi realized that it would be difficult for her sister-in-law to support her. Therefore, Bai Xi Xi decided to call her brother instead.
If he was busy, then she would ask her sister-in-law to help.
Seeing her brother appear made her a little anxious. After all, usually, her sister-in-law was the one who often ca to her school.
Teacher Du greeted the nurse politely and introduced the man behind her. Then, she walked over to Bai Xi Xi who was resting on the bed. “Bai Xi Xi, how are you feeling?”
“It’s alright. My ankle is no longer as painful.” Bai Xi Xi looked at her brother and saw that he was looking at her ankle.
Without saying a word, Bai Qi pulled the chair to the side and started to look at Bai Xi Xi’s ankle. After examining it for a while, he finally breathes in relief.
Bai Qi was scared when he got his sister’s phone call about her injury. He knew that Bai Xi Xi would prefer to call his wife. Therefore, when he got her call earlier, he thought that sothing bad had happened to her.
Fortunately, the injury was not as serious.
