561 Pampering
As it was getting near to her wedding day, Zhang Li Xue decided to take a long break from work. anwhile, Bai Qi was getting busier at the hospital.
The two of them planned to take a long vacation and go on their honeymoon, just the two of them. Because of this, Bai Qi planned to work hard so that he could spend his ti with his wife.
This ti, Bai Xi Xi was not coming with them. Fortunately for Bai Qi, his mother-in-law liked his little sister a lot and had volunteered to look after Bai Xi Xi while they would be going on their honeymoon.
On this day, Zhang Li Xue drove over to their apartnt in the western part of the city and told Bai Qi that she would be waiting for him there.
Although they were living with her parents, once in a while, the couple would return to this place just to be alone.
Zhang Li Xue was tidying up the apartnt when she heard soone at the door. She walked over to the door and saw Bai Qi walk in.
Bai Qi had only changed his shoes to a slipper when a figure lurched toward him. Suddenly, a pair of arms were around his waist and the girl’s face rested on his chest.
Seeing his wife’s enthusiasm whenever she saw him made him smile.
Although he was a little tired from work, Zhang Li Xue’s presence would take that away. Bai Qi thought that this little fairy was soone who had magic.

Bai Qi stroked her hair and kissed the top of her head. “So happy to see ?”
Zhang Li Xue raised her head and smiled. “When is it that I’m not happy to see you?” Her heart ached as she saw his tired face. “Let’s go in first. I already prepared so breakfast. Have sothing to pad your stomach before you go to rest.”
“Alright.” Bai Qi naturally did not have an objection.
He let his wife lead him to the dining table and saw the food that she had prepared for him.
Zhang Li Xue accompanied her husband and began to talk to him about their marriage preparation. anwhile, Bai Qi would listen to her would give his opinion from ti to ti.
As they were talking about their guests, Zhang Li Xue suddenly recalled a phone call she received last night. She looked at Bai Qi with her starry eyes and spoke, “Guess who called last night?”
Before Bai Qi could make a guess, Zhang Li Xue had already given him an answer.
“It’s Huan Huan.”
Bai Qi tried to rember soone with this na and a face ca to his mind. “Mo Qing Huan? He Rong’s wife?”
“Un. Un.” Zhang Li Xue nodded happily.
Bai Qi recalled that the last ti he talked to He Rong was last month. The man had transferred a sum of money to his account, saying that it was the dividend from his investnt.
Recently, He Rong’s company has been quite good and had plenty of business. Seeing that the company had made a profit, He Rong decided to share it with him.
“Huan Huan said, she will be coming to Y City next week,” Zhang Li Xue continued. “They are planning to stay over for a few weeks before they go back to L City.”
“That’s good. I haven’t seen He Rong for months. Let’s arrange a al with them.”
“Alright.” Zhang Li Xue wanted to catch up with Mo Qing Huan. Naturally, she did not have any objection. “This ti, Huan Huan’s uncle’s family would be coming over as well. Have I ntioned to you that Huan Huan’s parents were good friends of my mother?”
Bai Qi nodded. He seed to have heard about this when He Rong and Mo Qing Huan ca to Y City the last ti.
There was a sad look on Zhang Li Xue’s face when she recalled how did Mo Qing Huan’s parents pass away. Then, a faint smile appeared on her face. “My mom told how she knew Huan Huan’s mother in college. Later, who would have thought that Huan Huan and I would also get into the sa college?”
Bai Qi listened to his wife as she told him about her relationship with Mo Qing Huan.
After eating his breakfast, Bai Qi volunteered to tidy up the dishes but was driven away from the kitchen by his wife.
In the end, he could only return to their bedroom and took a shower first.
When Bai Qi ca out again, he found that his wife was seated on the wing chair with a book in her hand. She raised her head and stood up.
“Your hair is still damp. Let help you to dry them,” Zhang Li Xue offered.
When she was unable to move due to her injury, Bai Qi would always pamper her, not allowing her to even move a finger whenever he was around.
Now that she could move around freely, Zhang Li Xue thought that she wanted to do the sa for Bai Qi. After doing this a few tis, Zhang Li Xue began to understand the reason why Bai Qi seed to enjoy doing such nial tasks for her.
Each ti that she saw the smile on Bai Qi’s face, and the gentleness in her eyes, her heart would beat fast. Doing this sort of task for her partner gave her a sense of happiness.
The whirring from the hair dryer filled their surroundings.
Bai Qi’s hair was short. Therefore, it did not take her a long ti to help him dry his hair.
Zhang Li Xue switched off the hairdryer and placed it on the table. Just as she was about to turn around, a certain soone grabbed her arms, pulling her forward.
She let out a yelp.
Then, when she opened her eyes again, Zhang Li Xue found that she was already in Bai Qi’s arms. Her heartbeat accelerated when she saw the way Bai Qi was looking at her.
“You...”
“Li Xue, accompany to sleep, alright?”
Zhang Li Xue laughed. “I’m not sleepy. You go and have a rest first. I still need to tidy up the house.”
“Then, just wait until I fall asleep.” Without waiting for his wife to react, Bai Qi lifted his wife in his arms and placed her on the mattress.
Zhang Li Xue felt the mattress sink in. Then, her body was pulled into Bai Qi’s embrace. She raised her head and saw that Bai Qi had his eyes closed.
Seeing that the man was not planning to do anything other than hug her to sleep made her smile. Zhang Li Xue buried her head into his embrace and waited for him to sleep.
However, as soon as his scent engulfed her, Zhang Li Xue found that her eyes were getting heavier and she soon fall asleep.
Not too long after, Bai Qi opened his eyes again. Seeing his little fairy in his arms made him smile. He shifted his body to let her sleep in a comfortable position and finally closed his eyes again.
