287 Thinking about Another Man
Zhang Li Xue was accompanying Bai Xi Xi to play so gas in the living room when they both heard the beeping sound coming from the entrance.
The two girls exchanged a glance. Zhang Li Xue told the little girl to concentrate on her ga before she stood up and walked over. The door was pushed open from the outside. Then her expression brightened up when she found Bai Qi standing in front of her with a box in his hand.
“You’re back.” Zhang Li Xue flashed him a smile.
“Mmm...” His lips slowly curled up to a smile.
A while ago, he was still a little unhappy after running into Mu Zhen Yu. But, that unhappiness feeling disappeared the mont he saw his little fairy’s smile.
Bai Qi lifted the cake box in his hand. “For you.”
Her eyes lit up. Zhang Li Xue took the box from him and saw varieties of cakes through the box’s window. She pushed a few strands of hair behind her ear and spoke, “Why do you suddenly buy so cakes.”
“I rember that you liked them.”
Zhang Li Xue glanced at Bai Xi Xi who was playing gas in the living area. Seeing that the little girl had her attention on her gas, Zhang Li Xue finally gathered her courage to kiss Bai Qi.

“Thank you,” Zhang Li Xue had a sheepish smile on her lips.
The cakes were not anything expensive. But, knowing that Bai Qi would rember her preferences made her happy. Her heart was dripping in honey.
As the two walked in, Bai Xi Xi finally looked up. “Brother Bai Qi.”
Bai Qi rubbed the top of her head. “Did you have fun at your Pretty Sister’s house?”
After he went to work, his sister spent her ti at Zhang Li Xue’s place for a while. They only returned to the apartnt in the evening.
“Un...” Bai Xi Xi nodded. “Pretty Sister’s mom made delicious noodles.”
Bai Qi laughed. Hearing that his girlfriend’s family had treated his little sister well made him feel more at ease. He could see that Zhang Li Xue’s family really liked his little sister.
“You should go in and take a shower first,” Zhang Li Xue said. “Xi Xi and I will prepare the table. Later, we can have our dinner together.”
Bai Qi naturally did not have any objection. He turned to his room to take a quick shower.
As he ca out of the bathroom again, Bai Qi could not help but recall his brief eting with Mu Zhen Yu.
That person had said that his office was sowhere nearby. Then, doesn’t that an that there would be a chance for him to run into Mu Zhen Yu again?
His feelings towards Mu Zhen Yu were a little complicated.
When he was little, Bai Qi did not like Mu Zhen Yu that much because he was stealing his little fairy’s attention away from him.
Later, he learned that it was Mu Zhen Yu who had told Zhang Li Xue that his family was going to move to S Country. This was the reason he was able to et his little fairy one last ti before he followed his family to move away.
But now that he had returned to Y City, Bai Qi heard that Zhang Li Xue and Mu Zhen Yu were still close. The Zhang family had chased away other boys from getting too close to Zhang Li Xue. However, Mu Zhen Yu was still around.
Although Zhang Li Xue had already told him that nothing was going on between her and Mu Zhen Yu, Bai Qi was still uneasy.
Previously, he had seen the way Mu Zhen Yu was looking at Zhang Li Xue. As a man, how can he not understand that Mu Zhen Yu had feelings for Zhang Li Xue?
The knocking on the door snapped him out of his trance.
Bai Qi walked out and found that his sister was outside, wanting to tell him that dinner was ready. Bai Qi decided to forget those unhappy thoughts. He followed his little sister into the dining area and looked at the variety of food on the table.
“Brother Bai Qi, I made these dishes with Pretty Sister,” Bai Xi Xi said. “You have to eat a lot.”
“Mmm... I know. I will definitely eat a lot.”
The three of them ate their dinner happily together. Throughout the al, Bai Xi Xi continued to tell her brother what she did at her Pretty Sister’s house.
Afterward, they ate the cakes that Bai Qi had brought.
Bai Xi Xi rembered that she has been playing around too much during the day and decided to return to her room to read so books.
Zhang Li Xue accompanied the little girl for a while before going out to find Bai Qi again.
When she ca out, Bai Qi was in the kitchen, washing up so bowls. Zhang Li Xue walked over to his side and stood behind him. Without saying a word, Zhang Li Xue wrapped her arms around his waist. She leaned her head on his back and took a deep breath of his scent.
His movent halted. Seeing that Zhang Li Xue continued to stand still, Bai Qi continued to rinse the bowl in his hand. He wiped his hand with a towel before peeling off the girl’s arms around his waist. Then, he turned around and faced her. “What is it?”
Zhang Li Xue studied his expression for a while. “Nothing. I just thought that you looked a bit unhappy today. Sothing happened at work?”
Bai Qi could not hide his surprise.
He had tried to hide his feelings well. Surprisingly, his girlfriend was still able to figure out that he was a bit unhappy.
“No. I’m fine.”
Zhang Li Xue leaned over and narrowed her eyes. “Really?”
Bai Qi was about to tell her that she was worrying too much, but then, changed his mind. “I ran into Mu Zhen Yu just now. He seed to recognize .”
“That’s right. His company is sowhere around here.”
“You know this?”
“Mmm...” Zhang Li Xue nodded. “I ca to his company’s opening day. But, why did he makes you unhappy?”
“Nothing. It’s just that, I recalled a few things in the past.”
Zhang Li Xue continued to look at his expression. She suddenly thought of how Bai Qi had misunderstood her relationship with Mu Zhen Yu in the past. “Then, you should stop thinking about those unhappy thoughts.” She pulled away and shot him an unhappy look. “Doctor Bai, your girlfriend is right in front of you. What are you doing, thinking about another man?”
Her words made him laugh.
Zhang Li Xue was right. The person he loved was already in his embrace. He should stop worrying about Mu Zhen Yu. Whether that man still had feelings for Zhang Li Xue was not sothing that he should be concerned about. The most important thing was that Zhang Li Xue loved him.
