281 Defeat My Dad First
After the match ended, Zhang Yu Han let Bai Qi use one of the guest’s rooms for a quick shower. Zhang Li Xue sent in a towel and a few necessities before she went to find her father.
In this match, her father lost to Bai Qi by two points.
It was rare for her father to lose a one-on-one match and Zhang Li Xue was afraid that he would be in a bad mood.
Her father walked out of his study just as soon as she approached. Zhang Li Xue gave him a lookover before rushing over to his side.
“Why are you looking at that way?”
Zhang Li Xue flashed him a smile. “Nothing. Daddy, I’m just looking for you. Mommy called you to help her with sothing.”
Zhang Yu Han stretched his hand and patted his daughter’s head. “Are you worried about ?” Zhang Yu Han chuckled. “I’m fine. Anyway winning and losing a match is not sothing big.”
Throughout their match, Zhang Yu Han has been observing Bai Qi closely. He could tell that the boy was suppressing his skills and was going easy on him.
Otherwise, their points difference would be too great.

Zhang Yu Han sighed. Perhaps his daughter was right. He was getting too old.
Zhang Li Xue giggled when she heard her father’s words. She was relieved to see that her father was not too upset after losing against Bai Qi.
“I’ll go ahead and find your mother,” Zhang Yu Han said. “You should go and find Bai Qi and his sister. Call them for dinner.”
Zhang Li Xue leaned her head on her father’s arms. “Un. I know.”

Bai Qi dried his hair with a towel before draping it around his shoulder. Seeing that the woman in front of him was not speaking, Bai Qi raised his brow and spoke, “Li Xue? What’s wrong?”

“Xi Xi went with your mother,” Bai Qi said. He looked around and saw that there was no one else around. He looked at his girlfriend again and smiled. “Do you want to co in?”
Zhang Li Xue hesitated. But the man’s smile seed to be entrancing her. She nodded slowly and followed the man into the room.
“Just sit down for a while,” Bai Qi pointed at the sofa. “I’ll be done in a while.”
“Oh.” Zhang Li Xue followed his instruction and sat down. She watched him disappear into the bathroom before coming out again fully clothed.
Her eyes fell on his slightly damp hair and an idea ca to her mind. “Do you want to help you dry your hair? I’ll go and get the hair dryer.”
Bai Qi saw the enthusiasm in her eyes and chuckled. “Alright.”
Zhang Li Xue patted the chair and spoke, “Sit down.” Then, she walked over to the wardrobe and took out a hair dryer.
The whirring sound from the hair dryer filled the air.
Bai Qi’s hair was short and it did not take Zhang Li Xue a long ti to help him dry his hair.
Once she was done, Zhang Li Xue placed the hair dryer on the table and looked at the man in front of her. “Bai Qi, thank you for going easy on my dad.”
Bai Qi chuckled at her words. He glanced at the hair dryer and raised a brow. “Then, is this my reward?”
Zhang Li Xue laughed. Then, he leaned over to rain her kisses on his cheek.
“Actually, I did not do anything much. Your dad is really good,” Bai Qi said. “Perhaps, if we were the sa age, it would be difficult to win against your dad.”
“Mmm... I heard from my uncles that my dad loved basketball so much. However, he have to stop playing that much after he followed his parents to C Country.”
Her father decided not to play the sport that much, knowing that he will have to inherit the company. Still, he did not let go of his favorite sport and would ask her uncles to accompany him occasionally.
Zhang Li Xue took a deep breath and patted her boyfriend on the shoulder. “Co on. We should go now before they started to worry.”
She was alone in the room with her boyfriend. Zhang Li Xue was worried that her parents would be thinking too much when they could not find her.
Zhang Li Xue watched as Bai Qi gathered his stuff and placed them into his bag.
A chuckle escaped her as a thought crossed her mind. She saw that Bai Qi was looking at her and spoke, “In the past, I heard that my Uncle Wei had to defeat my dad in a one-on-one match before he could date my aunt. When I grew up, my uncles joked that if anyone wanted to marry , they will have to defeat my dad first.”
Her lips curled into a small smile as Zhang Li Xue recalled so mories from when she was younger.
Later, whenever a boy approached her with their confession, Zhang Li Xue decided to use this trick to reject them. Those who wanted to date her will have to defeat her in a basketball match.

Zhang Li Xue clenched her hand into a tight fist, wondering if she had said sothing wrong.
Before she could ask about it, Bai Qi flashed her a smile.
He walked over to her side and asked, “Then, does it an that I can ask your dad’s permission to marry you now?”
