275 Waiting for Li Xue
After living in Zhang Li Xue’s apartnt for a week, Bai Qi and Bai Xi Xi began to get used to their new routine. Bai Qi would send his little sister to the new kindergarten in the morning. Then, after school, Bai Xi XI would be sent to Doctor Qi Zheng’s place where his wife would look after her until it was ti for him to clock off from work.
It made Bai Qi feel awkward in the beginning. However, he understood that the people around him wanted to help him lighten the weight on his shoulder.
Bai Qi was aware that their special treatnt might have to do with him dating Zhang Li Xue. However, he was still very grateful for everyone’s help.
On his off day, Bai Qi made an appointnt with Zhang Li Xue to go out together and chose a car.
The apartnt on the west side of the city was a little farther from the hospital. Although he could always use public transportation, it would be more convenient for him to own a car.
Bai Qi showed up at the hotel and waited for his girlfriend in the lobby with a bright smile on his face.
In the past, it was always Zhang Li Xue who would show up at the hospital to pick him up from work.
This would be the first ti for him to co to his girlfriend’s workplace to pick her up at work. Moreover, now that her family mbers knew of their relationship, they no longer have to hide.
As soon as he arrived, Bai Qi sent a ssage to his girlfriend.

He sat down on the sofa and waited until it was ti for her to co. While waiting for her, Bai Qi looked up on the internet for a place that they could visit afterward.
A sudden commotion made him look up.
Noticing that his girlfriend’s father was in the lobby made him stand up quickly.
Bai Qi watched as the man was surrounded by his assistant and a few managers around him.
Zhang Yu Han was still listening to the manager’s report when his gaze t with Bai Qi. His steps halted imdiately.
The managers began to exchange their glances, wondering if they had made a mistake in their report. However, their President raised a hand before walking over to the side. The managers could only wait at the side.
Zhang Yu Han finally stopped when he reached Bai Qi’s side.
“Uncle.” Bai Qi greeted the man politely.
He gave the young man a lookover and spoke, “Waiting for Li Xue?”
Bai Qi nodded. “Mhm... It will be a while before she cos out.”
Zhang Yu Han glanced at his watch. It was already ti for so of the employees to clock off. In a while, his daughter would co out to et Bai Qi in the lobby.
His lips pursed into a thin line as he recalled his conversation with Wei Jun Hao the other day. “Since you are dating Li Xue, you should co over to our house when you have ti. Li Xue’s mother would be very happy.”
Bai Qi could not hide his surprise when he received the invitation.
Although he had already received the man’s permission to date his daughter, Bai Qi was still aware that his girlfriend’s father was not very happy with him.
Bai Qi knew that it was not because Zhang Yu Han did not like him. It was just that, Zhang Yu Han loved his daughter very much that he found it unbearable to see her with another man.
“Then, I will definitely make ti to visit.”
“Mmm...” Zhang Yu Han nodded in satisfaction. “Rember to let Li Xue inform her mother before you co over.”
Zhang Yu Han had another intention when he invited Bai Qi over to their house. Of course, he could not let the man visit the house when he was not at ho.
He gave Bai Qi another look over and this ti, he carefully observed him. It was now that he noticed the young man’s height. The muscle around his arms looked quite good as well.
It seed that Wei Jun Hao might be telling him the truth.
Bai Qi noticed the man’s gaze and felt uncomfortable.
“I heard from Qi Zheng that you are quite good at basketball,” Zhang Yu Han spoke again.
“I used to play a lot during high school.” Bai Qi smiled. “These days, I don’t play that much. My skills might be a little rustic.”
Zhang Yu Han nodded. “We should have a match when you co over.” He did not know how good Bai Qi is in this sport and would like to look at his skills.
“Of course.”
“Daddy?” Just in ti, Zhang Li Xue showed up in the hotel’s lobby.
When she heard that her boyfriend had co to pick her up from work, Zhang Li Xue quickly tidied up her desk and clock out. However, the mont she arrived in the lobby, Zhang Li Xue noticed that there was a group of people gathered around.
Zhang Li Xue had a premonition when she saw her father’s assistant and the group of managers around.
Her gaze shifted and Zhang Li Xue was surprised to see her father and boyfriend in the hotel’s lobby together.
Both n turned around simultaneously upon hearing her voice.
Zhang Li Xue stood beside her father as she assessed their mood. Seeing the smile on Bai Qi’s face made her feel more at ease.
“I was on my way out when I saw Bai Qi waiting for you here,” Zhang Yu Han decided to explain.
Zhang Li Xue exchanged a glance with Bai Qi. Then, she looked at her father again. “Daddy, what were you two talking about?”
“I was inviting Bai Qi to co over to our house when he has ti.”
Zhang Li Xue had a puzzled look on her face. She couldn’t help but think that it was strange for her father to invite Bai Qi over.
Zhang Yu Han chuckled when she saw the look on his daughter’s face. He stretched his arms and patted her on the head. “Well, I should go now. I still have so matters to discuss with the managers. Li Xue, rember to co ho early.”
“Oh.” Zhang Li Xue watched as her father joined the managers and headed out together.
Once her father was no longer within her sight, Zhang Li Xue turned to Bai Qi again. “What did you and my dad talk about?”
“He asked to co and visit your house.”
“Really?” Zhang Li Xue found it a little hard to believe.
Bai Qi pinched his girlfriend’s cheek. “Would I lie to you about this?”
