228 Stay Around His Office
Bai Qi looked at the girl in his embrace and could tell that she was not in a good mood. An inquiring look appeared on his face. However, Bai Qi did not say anything but instead, hugged her tightly and pressed his lips on top of her head.
The two of them stayed that way with Zhang Li Xue resting her head on his chest.
After a while, Zhang Li Xue pulled away. Both her hands were caught by Bai Qi before she could take another step back.
Bai Qi rubbed the back of her hand slowly with his thumb. His eyes were looking into hers as if trying to sense just what it was that make her unhappy. “What’s wrong?”
Zhang Li Xue pursed her lips, wondering if she should tell him what happened.
She could tell that Bai Qi did not like Mu Zhen Yu and had misunderstood her relationship with him.
If she told her boyfriend the content of her conversation with Mu Zhen Yu, Bai Qi would definitely be unhappy.
“I t Brother Zhen Yu during lunch,” Zhang Li Xue said.
Bai Qi’s expression shifted when he heard her words. A hint of sourness appeared in his heart.

“He told sothing that makes unhappy,” Zhang Li Xue said. She forced a smile and spoke, “Let’s not talk about this anymore.”
Bai Qi resisted the urge to ask. He was curious to know what had happened. However, did not want to force her into telling him and make her upset. He could only hold the person in front of him tighter as if to let her know that everything will be alright with him around.
Zhang Li Xue’s face was once again pressed against Bai Qi’s chest.
She inhaled his familiar scent and saw the docunts piling on his table.
It was then that she recalled that they were both at the hospital and Bai Qi was still working.
Zhang Li Xue pulled away and spoke, “Sorry, it seed that I am disturbing you with your work.”
Bai Qi leaned over and pecked on her lips. “You can co to find anyti.” He tugged her hand and let her sit on the chair. “Sit here for a while.”
Zhang Li Xue followed his lead. Then, she watched as Bai Qi poured so water for her.
“Have a drink first.”
Her heart was feeling sweet like honey at his attentiveness. Zhang Li Xue took the paper cup from him and drank her water slowly while watching the man sorting the docunts on his table.
Then, as if he had seen sothing important, Doctor Bai Qi’s expression turned serious again and he started to look at the docunts again.
Zhang Li Xue sat quietly, watching him do his work. At this ti, she thought that the hardworking Bai Qi was the most good-looking.
She liked seeing him in his white coat.
Her lips turned into a smile and just in ti, Bai Qi raised his head to look at her.
There was an inquiring look in his eyes when he saw her smile. But thinking that this girl has been watching him for a while made him feel happier.
“You can go and look at your docunts.” Zhang Li Xue said. “I’ll just sit here and do my thing, can I? Will that be too distracting?”
“No. You can stay here,” Bai Qi said.
Although her presence might be a little distracting, Bai Qi was happy to have her around by his side, accompanying him just like this.
Zhang Li Xue heaved a breath of relief. After what happened, she did not feel like heading ho yet.
Seeing that Bai Qi was imrsed in his work again, Zhang Li Xue took out her phone and started to play so gas silently.
Although the two of them could not go on a date as much as other people, Zhang Li Xue thought that staying with him like this was quite good as well.
Bai Qi’s phone on the table rang. He read the text ssage and sent out a reply before turning to his girlfriend again. Coincidentally, Zhang Li Xue was also looking at him.
“He Rong texted to remind that he would be coming to Y City next week,” Bai Qi said. “Li Xue, do you think that the two of them would be surprised to hear that we are together?”
“Mmm... I think they would both be shocked.”
Zhang Li Xue tried to imagine Mo Qing Huan’s reaction when she found out that she got together with her husband’s friend. That girl would definitely be surprised.

Bai QI left the room and let his girlfriend wait for him.
Since Zhang Li Xue did not have any plans, she decided to stay around his office for a while longer.
Zhang Li Xue was busy scrolling down her social dia when soone knocked on the door. Initially, Zhang Li Xue was planning to ignore it.
As long as she did not make a sound, the other person would figure out that Bai Qi was not in his room and leave.
She did not expect that the person would push the door in a while.
Zhang Li Xue raised her head in shock. But what surprised her the most was that the person who stood at the door was no other than her Uncle Qi Zheng.
“Li Xue?” Qi Zheng stared back at her with a puzzlent look in his eyes. “Why are you here?”He tried to think of the reason this girl would appear at the hospital and his expression turned uglier. “Are you injured anywhere?”
