226 Xiao Li Xue, I Like You
After leaving her apartnt, Zhang Li Xue drive over to Mu Zhen Yu’s office. She found the cafe that Mu Zhen Yu had ntioned and quickly found the man sitting further inside.
Just in ti, Mu Zhen Yu raised his head and t her gaze.
Zhang Li Xue waved her hand at him before walking over to his table.
“Brother Zhen Yu, have you been waiting for a long ti?” Zhang Li Xue spoke as she pulled over the chair and sat across from him.
There was a hint of helplessness in his gaze.
Mu Zhen Yu had stood up and was about to pull the chair for her. However, Zhang Li Xue moved faster. He sat down and smiled. “No. I just got here myself.”
Zhang Li Xue put her purse aside and looked up when the waitress ca over with the cafe nu. The two of them placed their order of food and drinks before the waitress walked away.
“Brother Zhen Yu, are you not that busy today?”
“Not bad.” Mu Zhen Yu smiled. “Whatever it is, I need to make ti to hang out with you. Besides, it’s the weekend. I can’t always be looking at those docunts.” He reached the empty chair beside him and pulled out a bouquet of red roses. “For you.”

Mu Zhen Yu was glad that Zhang Li Xue seed to like the flowers.

He took a sip from his glass and turned to Zhang Li Xue again. “I didn’t know that you had an apartnt nearby this area.”

‘There are several apartnt buildings near this area. Which one is yours?”
Zhang Li Xue tried to recall the na. “It’s Y City Serene Apartnt. It’s the one nearby the lake.”
“I know that one.” Mu Zhen Yu nodded. “If you need any help, you can co over and find . My office isn’t that far from your apartnt.”
Zhang Li Xue chuckled. “I’m not planning to stay here. Just that, my mom reminded that I need to inspect the place.”
Mu Zhen Yu’s phone on the table buzzed. He looked at the caller ID and frowned. After a brief hesitation, Mu Zhen Yu decided to reject the call. He looked at Zhang Li Xue and smiled.
Zhang Li Xue was about to speak when Mu Zhen Yu’s phone began to buzz again.

The two of them began to eat their al while catching up.
All this while, soone was still trying to reach for Mu Zhen Yu. However, seeing the na on the screen, Mu Zhen Yu decided to ignore the call for a while longer.
This ti, he had already made his decision. Before he could speak properly to Zhang Li Xue, he would not allow anything to interrupt him.
As for his company matters... his partners would be able to handle them while he was not around, right?

Zhang Li Xue put down the glass in her hand. “What is it?”
His heartbeat accelerated. Mu Zhen Yu was anxious, but he knew that if he missed this chance, it would be difficult to find another one.
“Xiao Li Xue, I like you.” His shoulder felt lighter once he said those words. “Would you want to go out with ?”
Her eyes widened in surprise. Zhang Li Xue had never thought that Mu Zhen Yu would suddenly confess to her.

Mu Zhen Yu lowered his gaze when he saw the look on her face. “Are you surprised?” A faint smile curled on his lips. “To tell you the truth, I have liked you for a long ti. Probably from high school. But I wanted to wait until we both grow up... I-”
Zhang Li Xue snapped out of her trance and quickly compose her thoughts. She took a deep breath and spoke, “Brother Zhen Yu, thank you for liking . However, I cannot accept your feelings.”
The smile on Mu Zhen Yu’s face froze. “What? Why?” He could not process this rejection.
“I have soone I like.”
Mu Zhen Yu recalled the words that his classmate had told him yesterday. “You’re dating soone...”
Zhang Li Xue nodded. “Yes.”
“Did your family know about this?”
A slight frown appeared on her face. Zhang Li Xue did not think that this matter was any of his concerns. However, she still gave him an answer. “My mother knows about him.”
The light in his eyes slowly dimd. “Was it soone I know?”
Zhang Li Xue thought that Bai Qi had left the country when they were little and Mu Zhen Yu probably did not rember him. “You probably don’t know him.”
In the end, he was still too late, wasn’t he?
His heart throbbed in pain.
Mu Zhen Yu was not willing to accept this news. He stared at her eyes for a long ti before asking. “Do you really like him?”
