190 Lasted for an Hour
By the ti Bai Qi finally had ti to look at his phone, Zhang Li Xue was already in bed and was in a drowsy state.
She heard her phone chi at the side and subconsciously reached for it.
Her eyes narrowed as she tried to get used to the light coming from it. Zhang Li Xue read Bai Qi’s ssage and decided that she was too lazy to type a reply. A few seconds later, Bai Qi picked up her phone call to him.
“Li Xue?” He had thought that this girl should be sleeping at this ti. Unexpectedly, she was still awake to give him a call.
“Mmm...” There was a hint of sleepiness in her voice. “Bai Qi, are you on a break now?”
Bai Qi was a little stunned when he heard her voice. “Un... Were you sleeping?”
“No.”

It was already this late. Why was his little fairy just about to sleep? What was she doing earlier?

“Can I look for you again tomorrow?” Zhang Li Xue inhaled deeply. “I’ll accompany you for dinner tomorrow, alright? I wanted to see you again.”

“Un...” Zhang Li Xue smiled happily. “Bai Qi, I just realized that you have such a nice voice.”

This girl was sleepy but she was still trying to flirt with him.
Bai Qi let out a chuckle and spoke, “You should go to sleep. Let’s talk about it again in the morning, alright.”
Zhang Li Xue wanted to continue talking to Bai Qi. But when she heard his coaxing tone, Zhang Li Xue finally changed her mind. “Alright. Bai Qi...”
“Hmm?”
“Good night.”
His lips turned into a smile. “Good night.”
Bai Qi continued to press his phone to his ear as he waited for Zhang Li Xue to hang up the phone first. However, as ti passed, Bai Qi realized that sothing was not right.
The call was still connected and he could hear Zhang Li Xue’s soft breathing as she slept.
It was not hard to guess that the girl had been so sleepy when he texted her earlier. However, she was still waiting for his text and had tried to hold on.
Bai Qi chuckled as he felt sothing warm fill his heart.
Zhang Li Xue’s soft breathing continued. The sound was like music to his ear. They were calm and relaxing.
Bai Qi wondered if he would be a pervert if he continued to listen to it for a long ti.

When Zhang Li Xue woke up in the morning, she had a feeling as if she had spoken to Bai Qi. However, she was still debating whether that happened in real life or her dream.
She reached for her phone but could not find it at the usual place on the bedside table. After searching for it for a while, she finally found her phone beside her pillow.
Zhang Li Xue checked the call log and found out that she had indeed called Bai Qi. However, there was sothing strange about this phone call. Why did the call last for an hour?
Did they chat for a long ti?
Why can’t she rember anything?
She could only recall that she had asked him if it would be alright if she wanted to visit his workplace again tomorrow.
Zhang Li Xue clicked on their chatting channel next. After thinking for a while, she finally decided to send him a ssage.
“Bai Qi, good morning.”
This ti, Zhang Li Xue did not have to wait for a long ti before she could get his reply.
Just as she was about to put down her phone, Bai Qi’s reply ca over.
“Good morning. Did you get a good goodnight sleep?”
Zhang Li Xue smiled foolishly when she saw his ssages.
It turned out that exchanging a morning greeting like this could make her this happy. Having a boyfriend is definitely a good thing.
Zhang Li Xue was already planning to make this morning’s exchange a routine.
“Un. I slept well. Are you still at work?”
“I went back to the apartnt to change my clothes and send Xi Xi to her kindergarten. Then, I will head back to the hospital again.”
Zhang Li Xue thought that life as a doctor was definitely tiring.
Bai Qi had to be on duty the night and still had to show up at work in the morning.

Bai Qi, who was on the other side of the line, found that his face was a little heated up.
“Nothing. I did not notice that we didn’t end the call properly. I only realized it an hour later,” Bai Qi lied.
There was no way that he was going to admit that he was listening to her breathing as she slept. It was only when a nurse ca to him to report sothing about a patient that he finally ended the call.
Fortunately, Zhang Li Xue completely believed in Bai Qi’s nonsense and did not think too much about this matter.
