151 You Can Confide In
In the morning, Bai Qi followed his ntor to go around the ward and look at the patients. While Doctor QI Zheng was talking to the patients, Bai Qi would stay by his side to take notes of everything.
Once they were done, Qi Zheng turned around as he gave the young doctors a briefing and asked them a few questions. While he was speaking, Qi Zheng could not help but notice the tired look behind Bai Qi’s eyes.
It was then that he rembered that Zhang Li Xue had ntioned sothing about Bai Qi.
He had wanted to talk to his student for a while, but recently, Qi Zheng has been busy with a few matters as well and he has not found the opportunities to talk to Bai Qi again.
After the Q&A session ended, the young doctors turned around to continue their work.
Finding this opportunity, Qi Zheng decided to call his student and talk.
“Doctor Qi, is there sothing?”
“Bai Qi, are you alright?”
His ntor’s question made him startle. Bai Qi could not figure out why Qi Zheng was asking him this question.

“Mmm... I’m fine.”
“Really?” Qi Zheng squinted. “You look tired. Are you sure that you are getting enough rest?”
Bai Qi opened his mouth and was about to answer when Qi Zheng had spoken again.
“You should rember that you are a surgeon. If you are tired, go and get so rest. I don’t want you to walk around and ended up making a mistake.”
“Doctor Qi, I understand,” Bai Qi spoke with a serious look on his face. He also knew that he could not afford to make a mistake whenever it involved another person’s life.
Qi Zheng gave the boy another lookover. Last ti, Bai Qi had tried to hide the matter about his little sister from him. Qi Zheng did would not find it strange if Bai Qi was hiding sothing else from him again.
“If you run into a problem, co over and see , you know?” Qi Zheng said. “Don’t just keep everything to yourself. I’m your ntor. You can confide in about anything.”
A warm feeling spread from his heart all through his body. Of course, Bai Qi was aware that his ntor was worried about him. He could not help but think of how fortunate it was for him to have a ntor like Doctor Qi Zheng.
However, Bai Qi thought that as long as he could try and resolve the matter by himself, he should not trouble others.
“Doctor Qi, thank you,” Bai Qi said with a smile. “If there’s anything, I will definitely co over to find you.”
Hearing his answer made Qi Zheng sigh. He understood that Bai Qi was not going to talk now. The boy would probably need so ti before he would tell his problem. Until that ti happen, there was nothing else that he could do about it.
Qi Zheng was going to turn around when he recalled another matter. “That’s right, are you and my niece, Li Xue quite close?”
His heartbeat accelerated. Bai Qi began to worry when he heard his ntor’s question. He wondered if Qi Zheng knew sothing about himself and the little fairy.
“It’s alright. My little sister likes Miss Zhang a lot.”
Qi Zheng nodded. He recalled that the last ti Zhang Li Xue visited his house, the girl t with Bai QI’s little sister. Later, Zhang Li Xue has been teaching Bai Qi’s little sister to play basketball.
Zhang Li Xue was soone who liked basketball a lot. It was not strange for her to teach anyone she t.
Qi Zheng decided that he was probably thinking too much. Zhang Li Xue was probably closer to Bai Xi Xi than Bai Qi.
“Doctor Qi, why do you ask this?” Bai Qi asked when his ntor has been quiet for a while.
Qi Zheng snapped out of his thought and shook his head. “No reason. It’s just that, I heard my niece ntioned you the last ti.”
Previously, Qi Zheng may have thought of setting up Zhang Li Xue with his student.
Bai Qi was a good person and he liked him a lot.
Qi Zheng had discussed this matter with his wife and the two agreed to give the youngsters a chance. After all, Zhang Li Xue was an adult but the girl had never dated anyone thanks to her overprotective father and little brother.
However, Qi Zheng began to change his mind after hearing about Bai Qi’s difficult life. Although he still liked this student a lot, Zhang Li Xue is more important.
He had watched that girl as she grow up and would not want her to suffer any difficulties in life.
Being together with Bai Qi would be difficult for Zhang Li Xue.
Because of that, Qi Zheng had stopped thinking of setting them up together.
Qi Zheng let out a cough. Then, he patted Bai Qi’s shoulder. “I’m just asking. Don’t think too much. Go ahead and do your work. I still have a few things to look after.”
Without waiting for his reply, Qi Zheng had already turned around and left. Bai Qi watched his ntor’s retreating silhouette before he went to do his job.
Bai Qi wanted to finish his job soon and hope that he would be able to run off for an hour to attend his little sister’s parents and teacher eting.
Whatever it was, he wanted to do his best not to make his little sister disappointed.
As he was in his office, writing a report, Doctor Wu ca over with an anxious look on his face. After announcing that Director Xiao was looking for him, Doctor Wu then left again.
A deep frown appeared on the space between his brow. He could already guess the reason Director Xiao wanted to see him. Other than Xiao Wan Zi, Bai Qi did not think that there would be no other reason.
Bai Qi stayed in his office for a few minutes to tidy up his table before going to find the director.
A few days ago, Bai Qi wrote a letter to the association to complain about Director Xiao’s misusing his power, hoping that the man would be stopped.
As he walked over to the director’s office, Bai Qi could not help but wonder if the association had already received his letter.
