148 Make Another Date
Bai Qi’s mood turned better with his little fairy and little sister’s visit. Knowing that the two of them were still waiting for him, Bai Qi did not dare to delay his work.
Fortunately, there was no ergency when he leave.
He went back to the garden and found both Zhang Li Xue and Bai Xi Xi waiting for him there. His heart ward as he saw them together.
“Are you done with your work?” Zhang Li Xue asked when she saw him walking over.
“Un.” Bai Qi nodded. He turned to Bai Xi Xi and gave that little girl a pat on her head.
“Then, let’s go. I’ll give you a lift ho,” Zhang Li Xue suggested. “Or do you want to grab sothing for dinner before heading back?”
Bai Xi Xi turned to her brother with an expectant gaze. She hoped that her brother would agree so that they could all spend more ti together.
“Or... we could stop by a market and buy so ingredients. I could prepare sothing quick,” Bai Qi said.
He still rembered that Zhang Li Xue liked chicken wings. He wanted to try the new recipe he found the other day and see if she liked it.

Zhang Li Xue stared at the man’s face and noticed the black rim under his eyes.
She could see that he has not been sleeping well these past few days.
No wonder Bai Xi Xi was too worried about her brother.
Zhang Li Xue wanted to suggest for they grab sothing outside. But with Bai Xi XI around, Zhang Li Xue began to wonder if perhaps Bai Qi was soone who would not let the little girl eat outside food that much.
“Alright.” After thinking for a while, Zhang Li Xue decided to agree.
Perhaps, instead of letting Bai Qi cook, she could help him to prepare sothing instead. Anyway, she was not soone who did not know how to cook.
Her mother and she both were foodies. Naturally, they know how to prepare so simple als.
The Bai siblings were delighted to know that Zhang Li Xue would be stopping by their apartnt to have dinner together.
Although the apartnt was within a walking distance, the three of them still took Zhang Li Xue’s car as they headed to the market.
Bai Qi noticed that Zhang Li Xue was not driving the sa car and asked, “What happened to your AUDI?”
“Mmm... It was still in the workshop,” Zhang Li Xue answered absentmindedly. “I should get the car back tomorrow evening.”
“In the workshop?” Bai Qi frowned. “What happened?”
Hearing his question, Zhang Li Xue finally realized that she did not tell Bai Qi about her accident. The accident happened on her way ho after sending the Bai back to their apartnt and she did not want to let him worry.
“It’s nothing.” Zhang Li Xue waved her hand. “Soone ramd into my car last week.”
His eyes widened in surprise. “What?” Bai Qi gave her a look over and asked, “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.” Zhang Li Xue flashed him an assuring smile. Seeing his worried expression, Zhang Li Xue decided that she would not tell him more details regarding the accident.
The frown on his face deepened. Although he was worried, the girl did not seem as if she was injured or anything. It was only then that Bai Qi finally put his heart at ease.
Zhang Li Xue drive over to the market nearby the apartnt and the three of them bought a few ingredients together.
Bai Qi was planning to make his sister’s favorite noodles and Zhang Li Xue’s favorite chicken wings for dinner.
As they were queuing up to pay for their items, the phone in Zhang Li Xue’s purse rang.
She took out her phone and excused herself to pick up the phone call.
Because of his height, Bai Qi happened to see the na on her caller ID. His brow furrowed, knowing that his little fairy and Mu Zhen Yu were still in contact.
“Brother Zhen Yu,” Zhang Li Xue spoke as the call was connected. “What’s up?”
“Have you arrived ho safely?” Mu Zhen Yu asked.
“Mmm... Not yet. I went out with a few friends.”
It was then that Mu Zhen Yu noticed the noise in the background.
“Xiao Li Xue, I’m sorry about what happened today,” Mu Zhen Yu spoke. “I wanted to accompany you for a while longer.”
“Brother Zhen Yu, I don’t mind. It’s your company’s official ceremony. Of course, you would be busy with a lot of things,” Zhang Li Xue said. “No one foresees that accident to happen.”
Mu Zhen Yu lowered his gaze. He should be glad that Zhang Li Xue has been very understanding. However, he also wished that she could be wilful and unhappy because of what happened.
“How about that young miss?” Zhang Li Xue asked. “I saw that the injury on her legs was quite scary. There was blood everywhere. Is she alright?”
Mu Zhen Yu halted. He did not realize that Zhang Li Xue had seen what happened. His heart was feeling uncomfortable at the thought that Zhang Li Xue had seen him and Miss Ye together at the office.
Because of Miss Ye’s injury, he had no other choice but to stay close to her. After all, Miss Ye’s father was one of his business partners. Naturally, he will have to look after her.
But he did not want Zhang Li Xue to misunderstand their relationship.
At the sa ti, he wondered if Zhang Li Xue would be unhappy to see them together.
“She’s alright,” Mu Zhen Yu said. “Fortunately, the cut was not too deep. The doctor said the injury would heal in a few days.”
“That’s good.”
Mu Zhen Yu recalled the matter that he wanted to say to Zhang Li Xue and hesitated again. “Li Xue, about that matter I wanted to tell you...”
“Mmm... You said you have sothing important to tell. Brother Zhen Yu, what is it?”
“Can I tell you again later?” Mu Zhen Yu spoke. “I want to tell you face to face.”
Her brow furrowed.
Zhang Li Xue had thought that Mu Zhen Yu was going to talk to her about her car. But it seed that it was not about that matter.
“Then, when do you want to et?”
“I should be busy with the company for a while. Let’s make another date when I’m not that busy.”
Mu Zhen Yu let out a soft sigh to hide his disappointnt. He had wanted to tell her after the ceremony, but sothing had happened, preventing him from saying anything.
But now that he had missed his chance, he will have to wait for a while as he would be busy with his company’s matter.
