142 Sothing Important to Tell
After leaving her uncle’s place, Zhang Li Xue drove over to the east side of the city to attend Mu Zhen Yu’s company opening ceremony.
It has been quite a while since she had co to this part of the city.
As she arrived, Zhang Li Xue could not help but look around. It seed that the developnt project that her Uncle Li Mu Bai was involved in has gone quite smoothly.
The housing area that her uncle had given her had reached its final phase. Soon, the place would be liveable.
Zhang Li Xue hunted for a parking spot and finally pulled over sowhere close to Mu Zhen Yu’s building. Just in ti, Mu Zhen Yu’s text ssage arrived.
The corner of her lips tilted up upon noticing that Mu Zhen Yu was anxious that she had not reached the venue yet.
Zhang Li Xue grabbed her purse and alighted her vehicle.
It was not difficult for her to find Mu Zhen Yu’s office.
Coincidentally, there were a group of people who were heading to the ceremony as well. Zhang Li Xue followed them and reached the place.

As she walked out of the elevator, Zhang Li Xue could already see a group of people gathering inside the venue. A few congratulatory flower stands were seen along the corridor. One of them was sent by her.
Zhang Li Xue entered the venue and t Mu Zhen Yu at the door.
The man was seen greeting a few of his friends who were also invited to this ceremony.
Mu Zhen Yu raised his head and t her gaze. He watched as Zhang Li Xue waved her hand at him and quickly excused himself from his friends to go over.
“Xiao Li Xue, You made it.” Mu Zhen Yu heaved a breath of relief when he saw her.
Zhang Li Xue laughed. “Mmm... I promised you that I will co. Of course, I will have to be here.”
“Co on.” Mu Zhen Yu smiled. “I’ll take you around the place.” Mu Zhen Yu led her into the office. After a few steps, Mu Zhen Yu paused, as a thought ca to his mind. He looked around and frowned when he could not see the person he thought would co along.
“What’s wrong?”
Mu Zhen Yu retracted his gaze. “Your brother did not co along?”
He was very confident that Zhang Yi Hai would tag along with his sister. After all, this was sothing that he liked to do ever since he was very young.
In Mu Zhen Yu’s opinion, Zhang Yi Hai would always stay around his sister whenever he was present. That huge light bulb would always try to prevent him from staying with Zhang Li Xue alone.
Therefore, it was pretty strange to see that Zhang Li Xue had attended this ceremony alone without her brother around.
“He went out to et a few friends,” Zhang Li Xue said. “It seed that he had made an appointnt with them a while ago.”
Similar to Mu Zhen Yu, Zhang Li Xue had also thought that her brother would be accompanying her to this event. However, when she ntioned her plan to attend Mu Zhen Yu’s opening ceremony, Zhang Yi Hai told her that he had already made a plan with a few of his friends.
This was how she could attend this event without her brother around.
Zhang Li Xue looked at Mu Zhen Yu and smiled. “Brother Zhen Yu, I will tell my brother that you missed him.”
Mu Zhen Yu almost choked on air when he heard her words.
Who would miss that huge light bulb?
He was thankful that the boy was unable to co with Zhang Li Xue to attend this event, alright?
Mu Zhen Yu decided to push that light bulb away from his thoughts.
It was a rare chance for him to finally be alone with Zhang Li Xue. Of course, he was not going to waste this mont.
Moreover, Mu Zhen Yu was worried that Zhang Yi Hai might finish his business earlier and headed over to this ceremony to be that massive block between him and Zhang Li Xue.
The last ti, when their ex-classmates had gathered for a reunion, didn’t Zhang Yi Hai also appear? Unfortunately for him, Zhang Li Xue had long left the reunion.
Mu Zhen Yu began to relax as he showed Zhang Li Xue around the place. They finally reached his office room which was located further inside. After showing her around, Mu Zhen Yu turned to her and asked, “What do you think?”
Zhang Li Xue walked over to the ceiling-to-floor window to look at the scenery outside. Then, she turned to Mu Zhen Yu and smiled. “This interior is beautiful. Brother Zhen Yu, your taste is very good.”
Mu Zhen Yu chuckled. He finally felt more at ease upon hearing her approval. “That’s good.”
The two of them continued to chat and Mu Zhen Yu continued to brief her about his company.
Just in ti, Mu Zhen Yu’s assistant ca over. He greeted Zhang Li Xue with a nod before turning to Mu Zhen Yu to announce that the ceremony will begin soon.
“Brother Zhen Yu, you should go. Don’t let the others wait for too long,” Zhang Li Xue said.
Mu Zhen Yu hesitated. He knew that Zhang Li Xue did not know many people among his guests and he began to worry about her. “Will you be alright?”
Zhang Li Xue laughed. “I’m fine. Don’t worry. I’m no longer a small kid. Brother Zhen Yu, you don’t have to worry about .”
“You will always be Xiao Li Xue to .” His lips curled into a faint smile.
Zhang Li Xue was stunned upon hearing his words. Seeing the way Mu Zhen Yu was looking at her made her heart race.
“Xiao Li Xue, just stay around until I finish giving a speech,” Mu Zhen Yu said. “There will be chicken wings afterward.”
Zhang Li Xue laughed at his words. “Alright. Since there are chicken wings, of course, I will have to stay.”
“Later...” Mu Zhen Yu’s expression turned serious. If one looked closely, one would notice that he has been clenching and unclenching his fist, sothing that he often does whenever he was anxious. “Later, I have sothing important to tell you.”
