"Brandan." Lady Hyde spoke with a strained voice, "Have you ever thought... that the hit-and-run driver and these kidnappers might have been instructed by the sa people?"
"Swoosh—"
The ash from the cigarette in Brandan Hyde’s hand shook and fell down in a flurry.
Lady Hyde lowered her eyes, gently bit her lip, and spoke softly: "Otherwise, how could it be that even you can’t find them? Maybe they’re using the sa hidden thods from five years ago."
But, who would benefit from doing this?
Brandan Hyde’s eyes darkened slightly, and a na floated through his mind.

The hospital room door was heavily guarded, with nurses accompanying every entrance and exit, so Iris Harris couldn’t escape even if she wanted to.
Sotis she really conceded to Brandan; once he was determined, not even nine bulls could drag him back. If he said she couldn’t leave, then she couldn’t leave, not even a bit of leeway was given.
Yet, there really wasn’t a solution, they couldn’t find a matching bone marrow. If it were that easy to find, Brandan wouldn’t have been forced by her to marry her in the first place.
Lately, he seed busier because of this matter concerning her. Sotis he would co over at night, but wouldn’t speak, just sit by the bed and watch her.
He had lost a lot of weight, his chin was sharper, and his facial features were more defined, making one feel heartbroken looking at him.
During this ti in the hospital, perhaps for them, it was the first ti in so long that they could be together so quietly.
When Brandan watched her, his deep, expressive eyes always seed to conceal a thousand unspoken words, yet his eyes had always been so profound, and he always appeared affectionate when looking at others, so Iris Harris didn’t want to delve any further.
By now, his feelings ant nothing to her.
This afternoon, as usual, Brandan ca to see her, stayed quietly in the room for a mont, stood by the bed, bent over slightly, kissed her forehead, his tone carrying a hint of heartache: "You’ve lost so much weight again."
Iris Harris recoiled slightly as if touched by electricity, raised her eyes to look at him with caution, and Brandan regained his senses, seeing the hostility in her eyes, he felt montarily disheartened.
It was just a spontaneous act, kissing her without realizing it, yet her gaze made him truly sad, a faint sadness surfaced in his heart, and after a mont, he lifted his hand, seemingly wanting to touch her hair, but slowly drew it back, standing by the bed, he let out a low sigh.
"I will save you."
As if it were a promise or a murmur, Brandan looked at her for a mont before slowly leaving.
Iris Harris watched his retreating figure, lightly pressed her lips together.
He said she had lost weight, but wasn’t he the sa?
A feeling hard to put into words rose in her heart, she lowered her head, looked at her powerless hands, then lightly sighed.
By now, everything was irretrievable, and any further emotion was aningless.
She had long learned not to be moved again.
Never to hold any hope for him again.
This way, when facing despair, it wouldn’t hurt as much.

This noon, Iris Harris was lying in bed when an unexpected visitor ca to her hospital room.
She was awoken by a commotion.
"What are you doing! Let in!"
"I’m her sister!"
"Let go of ! If you keep blocking , I’ll call Brandan!"
...
Iris Harris slowly opened her eyes, slightly furrowing her brow.
"Who’s making noise outside?"
