For so reason, a faint sense of foreboding slowly rose within him.

"Iris, are you feeling better?"

Lady Hyde walked over, looked at the bandage on her forehead, and asked softly.

"It’s okay." Iris Harris nodded, "It’s just a little blood, nothing serious."

Upon hearing this, Lady Hyde looked at Iris Harris’s pale cheeks, wanting to say sothing but stopped.

She felt very sad inside; however, now everything was irreversible.

If she’d known, she would have prevented them from eting ten years ago.

"Let’s eat first."

Lady Hyde held Iris Harris’s hand, sighed silently, "The cook made red bean and jujube porridge, eat more to replenish your energy."

Iris Harris replied with an "Mm," and followed Lady Hyde into the dining room.

Everything that happened last night seed like water passing—veiled in a mutual, tacit understanding.

Iris Harris had breakfast, and when she ca out, there was already a middle-aged man standing in the hall. He was the Hyde Residence’s family doctor. Brandan Hyde was chatting with him, and upon seeing her co out, Brandan Hyde said, "Dr. Ginger is already here, let him change your dressing."

Iris Harris glanced at him and then slowly walked over to sit on the sofa.

Dr. Ginger asured her temperature and confird there was no fever before asking, "Besides your head, is there anywhere else injured?"

Brandan Hyde stood to the side, watching them.

Iris Harris hesitated and shook her head: "The rest are just bruises, it’s fine."

"Do you feel dizzy? There might be a concussion, so it’s best to get a CT scan at the hospital."

Iris Harris shook her head: "I’m fine. Just change the dressing."

Dr. Ginger glanced at Brandan Hyde, who gave him a slight nod, then he turned back and carefully unwrapped the bandage on Iris Harris’s forehead.

The wound wasn’t large but very deep. Dr. Ginger cleaned the wound with antiseptic and said to Iris Harris, "It might leave a scar."

His tone was sowhat regretful.

Iris Harris nodded, her expression sowhat indifferent: "I know."

Dr. Ginger was surprised that she seed so unconcerned. After all, girls usually care about their appearance, and Iris Harris was so beautiful, it’s such a pity.

He carefully applied dication to her and gently wrapped her with clean bandages, "Change the bandage once a day, and also take the anti-inflammatory dicine. Once it scabs over, it will heal. If there’s anything uncomfortable, rember to get a thorough check-up at the hospital."

Iris Harris nodded and smiled: "I know."

Dr. Ginger looked at her smile, seemingly touched, and after a mont, he said softly: "Miss Harris, no matter what, it’s your body, rember to take good care of yourself."

"..." Iris Harris was slightly stunned, his gaze was very sincere, and a sour note slowly rose in her heart. She forced a nod, "I know."

She also wanted to take good care of herself.

But it’s already too late.

Iris Harris sat on the sofa, Dr. Ginger had already packed up the dicine box and bid farewell to Brandan Hyde.

A shadow blocked her reluctantly, Iris Harris looked up and saw Brandan Hyde looking at her with a slight frown.

Her heart chilled slightly; undeniably, she was truly afraid of him with such an expression deep down.

The spot on her forehead where she was injured began to throb painfully; yesterday he was just like this, with such an impatient expression, he threw her downstairs.
