I heard footsteps for around 10 minutes then turned around to see Arin walk off the classroom with a quick glance around then strolling briskly towards . My throat was pounding.

"Why do you talk so much? " he asked , standing next to him.

I smirked. "Why do you stay so quiet?"

He drew his eyebrows back, gazing at with a half smile that didn't quite match his eyes. For a split second I though I could sense sothing flicker in his face, a slight hesitation before he lost his gaze, almost painfully minor, but enough to make my chest hot. "No reason. "

I mirrored his expression. "Well, no reason for either."

A silence had settled between us but it wasnt awkward. It was... comfortable. We leaned against the wall looking the sa way down at the sa spot in the distance But I couldnt help but notice how his eyes were still on my hands, a minute or two of glance before he swiftly turned away. Was he checking to see if I was fidgeting?

After a second glance at he looked again. "But... it must be hurting, right?

I blinked, confused. "Huh? No, my feet don't hurt."

He chuckled softly with his head tilted up but there was so inconspicuous warmness to his voice that made sothing in my heart vibrate. "Hehe. I guess I'll start.

As he turned away I began to shout before I could stop myself "Wait! What are you going? I thought the teacher kicked you out too? "

He turned back around and looked at with his eyes twinkling like a child. "Nope. Not going to the washroom. Wanna co along?

I laughed to cover the little flutter in my stomach. " Don't talk about shit. "

I turned my gaze away, but my mind was racing.

Wait... did he really just co out to check on ?

There was a weird heat in my chest. Very little... about a bit of sothing... but there it was.

And sohow, that was enough to make smile.
