Luke lay on the ground observing the gunman. This guy was very cautious, spraying bullets with his gun without even showing his head, only exposing two feet under the car. However, due to the angle, shooting was quite difficult.
Luke decisively used an Accuracy Card, 'bang bang,' and fired two shots at the gunman's feet.
One shot hit the gunman's left ankle, "Ah!" The gunman let out a shriek and fell to the ground.
"Bang bang bang!"
Luke fired three more shots. One hit the AK47, one missed, and another hit the gunman's wrist.
As the gunman lost his weapon and ability to counterattack, Luke stood up and ran over to the gunman, kicked the AK47 away, pressed his knee on the gunman's back, and held down his left hand, removing his skull mask to reveal a young white male face.
Other officers gathered around as well.
Jackson looked at the gunshot wounds on the white man's wrist and ankle, initially speechless with surprise, then showed admiration, "Captain, your shooting is incredibly precise!"
The young black officer held up two thumbs, "Definitely better than the deputy captain."
Raymond also sighed quietly, impressive.
In the past, Raymond had taught Luke shooting at the training ground. At that ti, Luke's shooting was poor, but he improved quickly and had a great understanding. It's been just a year, and Luke's shooting skill has progressed rapidly, making Raymond feel inadequate.
Raymond's shooting was already very accurate, ranking among the top in the detective bureau, but he couldn't achieve Luke's level.
He asked himself, he hadn't trained less than others, visiting the shooting range more frequently than Luke, but had to attribute it to innate talent.
Luke asked the white young man on the ground, whose face was distorted in pain, "What's your na?"
"Pah, you're the bastard who shot , go to hell!" The white young man spat, showing a hateful expression.
Luke's face remained unchanged, he pressed directly on the wound of the white youth's right wrist, "Ah!"
The white young man let out another miserable scream, "Let go of , it hurts like hell, hurry up and let go!"
"Answer , what's your na?"
"Brown Bryant, my na is Brown Bryant."
"Very good."
"Do you have any other accomplices?" Luke worried that Brown Bryant might have recruited other like-minded partners to commit the cri together.
"Carl Smith."
Luke wasn't fully convinced, according to Carl Smith, Brown Bryant had already lost control. "Besides Carl Smith, is there anyone else?"
"No."
"Really no one?"
"I swear to God!"
Luke got up and said to Jackson beside him, "Stop his bleeding." Then he patted the shoulder of the young black officer, "Call an ambulance, everyone else, secure the scene, evacuate people to prevent further panic among the students inside the school."
"Yes, sir."
Luke walked over to the injured school officer. He was a burly black man, with a lot of blood flowing from his right shoulder, looking a bit alarming, "Buddy, how are you doing?"
The black school officer, Kurt, raised his head, "I rember your voice, you contacted ."
"Yes, let formally introduce myself, I'm Luke Lee, captain of the first squad in the Robbery and Murder Departnt, just call Luke."
"I know you, appointed by Commissioner Frank himself as L.A.'s detective. How did you know that bastard was going to attack the school?"
"You said it yourself, I'm a detective." Luke smiled and then switched gears in conversation, "You're very brave, were the bullets in him shot by you?"
"Yes, the guy was wearing a bulletproof vest; otherwise, I would've subdued him. I did my best."
"I know, you've done very well. If you hadn't intercepted him, more students would've been hurt.
How's your injury?"
"Not deadly, this trash can saved my life."
"You're lucky, but next ti, find a more solid cover."
"I'll suggest the school get stronger trash cans!" Kurt forced a smile but accidentally pulled the wound, grimacing in pain.
"Good idea, but now you should rest well. Leave everything else to us."
School officer Kurt reminded, "I saw so students got hurt."
"I know, I'll take care of them." Seeing Kurt in distress, Luke lit a cigarette and handed it to him.
Then, Luke went to see two injured students, one was hit by a Volvo car. The student's injury wasn't too serious, just so abrasions, looking scary but no bone damage.
The other student wasn't so lucky, shot in the thigh. Fortunately, no artery was hit, and a police officer was already helping him stop the bleeding.
With the police controlling the scene, students in the school felt more emboldened, many ca over to see the excitent, while also showing hostility towards Brown Bryant.
Brown Bryant had been caught, Luke didn't want any more problems, had him temporarily escorted into the police car, and a cordon was set up around the shooting scene.
Soon, more patrol officers ca for support.
These patroln arrived later than Luke's team due to dispatch from headquarters, all went to support near Carla supermarket.
An ambulance also arrived at the scene.
Of course, there was no shortage of TV station vehicles and swarming reporters.
Luke searched Brown Bryant's Volvo sedan and found a rifle, a shotgun, four magazines, and two grenades.
Seeing this equipnt, Luke couldn't help but feel a little frightened. Luckily, he brought his team to the scene in ti; otherwise, it would've been another campus massacre, with casualties possibly exceeding the supermarket shooting.
anwhile, a question arose in Luke's mind, where did Brown Bryant get this equipnt?
He's not yet an adult, couldn't have purchased legally. The equipnt Carl Smith previously helped buy had already been discarded by him.
This equipnt must have been newly acquired by Brown Bryant.
The person who supplied him with the equipnt could be considered an accomplice in this case. From a certain perspective, those providing the equipnt are no less harmful than the gunman.
