"What's the problem?"
"You should know getting shot is no small matter, generally, you have to report it to the police.
We would be in a very difficult position.
We also have to take on certain risks," the white doctor said with a you-know-what-I-an look on his face.
The black man took off a gold necklace from around his neck and placed it on the doctor's desk, "This is the down paynt. Just cure my brother, and I'll give you more money."
The white doctor picked up the necklace and felt its weight, "I'll need twenty thousand US dollars more."
"Fuck! You might as well be robbing !"
"That's the market rate. If you can't accept it, you're free to seek treatnt elsewhere," the white doctor shrugged.
The black man thought for a while, "OK, as long as you can cure my brother, I can give you twenty thousand US dollars."
"Good, then hurry up and arrange for the money. We need the surgery fee upfront before any treatnt."
"Are you really a doctor, you money-grubber?"
"If it's too expensive, go to a hospital. Nobody's begging you to co here," the white doctor pushed the necklace back.
Although the black man was reluctant, he eventually compromised, "I promise you, twenty thousand dollars, no police."
The white doctor reminded again, "No problem.
Bring the patient in from the back, and bring the money too."
Just at that mont, the black man's deanor suddenly changed, and he laughed, "I don't have the money, but I have this."
When the white doctor saw the other man pull out a badge, he looked astonished, "You're a cop?"
"That's right, you corrupt doctor, you're in for it now," the black man said with a smug look on his face.
This black man was none other than the informant who had received a tip from Blood Man Garcia.
According to Blood Man Garcia, on June 8th, this black clinic urgently purchased type B blood. The timing and the blood type were consistent with the circumstances of the gunshot victim suspect.
But since it was just speculation, Luke and the others couldn't just directly investigate the clinic, so they chose to use this thod.
Soon, Luke also arrived at the clinic.
He looked at the white doctor, "What's your na?"
"Pryce Fitt."
"Doctor Pryce, are you aware that privately treating gunshot wounds is illegal?"
"I know, I just... montarily lost my judgent.
It's the first ti I've done this. I hope you can give another chance."
The informant said, "No, it's not your first ti. You just said you treated another gunshot wound the other day. I heard it loud and clear, and I've got it all on tape.
Don't think about lying."
Doctor Pryce said, "I was just bluffing then, none of that happened..."
Luke interrupted him, "Don't lie. There's more than just you working in this clinic. If you lie and soone else identifies you, the outco will be even worse.
Tell the truth, did you or did you not treat a gunshot victim on June 8th? Think carefully before you speak."
Doctor Pryce was silent for a long ti and then nodded, "Yes, there was such an incident. What exactly do you want?"
Luke said, "I want to know all the details and information about that man."
"If I tell you everything, will you let go?"
"It depends on how well you cooperate."
Doctor Pryce seed to see Hope, "I'll cooperate fully. What do you want to know? Ask anything."
Luke nodded, satisfied with his attitude, "What's the patient's na?"
"I don't know; I didn't ask."
"How much money did you take from him?"
"Twenty thousand dollars."
"Do you have his picture?"
"No, but there are surveillance caras in the lobby. They should have captured his likeness."
"Describe what he looked like."
"He was a young white man, probably in his twenties, not very tall, quite skinny. His left arm was injured; he had lost quite a bit of blood when he arrived."
Luke recalled the description and found it very similar to the suspect they were tracking after the bloodstain pattern analysis.
"Did the injured person have any distinguishing features or peculiar accessories?"
Doctor Pryce answered, "I rember he wore a silver pendant, cherished it so much he was holding it in his hand during the surgery."
Luke grew more certain that this injured man was likely the killer of Angela and Darcy.
