If it is said that reaching the level of a professional boxer can be done through diligence and effort, then becoming a boxing champion relies on effort and talent, with the latter being more important.

Additionally, Luke's purpose in practicing boxing is to enhance his actual combat ability, but fighting skills are not limited to boxing; besides boxing, he also practices other combat skills.

An 80-point boxing ability, 80-point wrestling, and 80-point jujitsu can easily defeat a boxer with 100 points in actual combat.

Real combat depends on comprehensive ability.

And it is easier to achieve eighty points in three disciplines than a hundred points in one.

The more elite a fighter is in a particular skill, the harder it is to make further improvents.

Hall said, "Your physical fitness is not bad, but reaching the level of a professional boxer isn't easy, you have to be well prepared."

"I'm ntally prepared and confident."

"Good, then let's get started."

"How are we going to train?"

"Your boxing is decent, so we'll move straight into the sparring phase. I'll find a student to spar with you, and during the breaks, I will point out what you lack."

"OK." Luke used his boxing card.

Soon, Hall found a black student to spar with Luke.

The black student had a physique similar to Luke's, but his boxing skills were sowhat better. In the beginning, he continuously pressured Luke, making him sowhat frustrated.

After one round, Luke was called down from the ring.

Hall and Luke watched the video of the boxing match together and comnted on Luke's shortcomings and areas for improvent.

When Luke had questions during the explanation, Hall would personally demonstrate and teach.

Hall explained things ticulously and even shared so combat tricks with Luke. Each explanation took longer than the sparring itself; otherwise, Luke's stamina wouldn't last through the morning.

With the boost from the boxing card, Luke made swift progress. By noon, he was already able to pressure the black student.

Now it was the black student's turn to feel frustrated. He couldn't understand how Luke was improving so rapidly.

Hall was equally surprised by Luke's progress. In the afternoon, he decided to spar with Luke personally.

At noon, Luke offered to take Hall out for lunch. Hall initially refused, but after Luke's persistent insistence, he finally agreed to go.

Building a good relationship with Hall was one aspect; he also wanted to take the opportunity during the al to ask Hall more about boxing knowledge.

After the al, they rested for two hours.

Then, Luke and Hall sparred.

Sparring with Hall was really stressful.

For Luke, Hall was like a pentagon warrior with no weaknesses to exploit; attacking him only ant getting hit in return.

This wasn't to say that Luke had no chance against him. If it were a real fight, Luke could potentially win using wrestling and grappling.

However, that presupposed dodging Hall's fists and getting close to him.

In the afternoon, Luke used a second boxing card.

The teaching thod was the sa as in the morning.

After sparring for a while, Hall would point out so boxing techniques, and Luke's progress speed astonished Hall.

He called the black student to have another match with Luke.

In the first round, Luke stunned the black student with a right Swing Fist, leaving him dazed for a long ti, unable to stand up. Had it not been for the protective gear, he probably would have been knocked out right there.

Hall's expression was complicated as he said, "You really are a boxing talent, such a pity…"

"Dad, what's a pity?" A teenager carrying a backpack walked in.

"Dean, you've co at just the right ti. Let introduce you; this is Luke, my new student. His boxing talent might even surpass yours."

"Luke, this is my son, Dean, a junior in high school. Do you want to practice with him?"

"He's underage?"

"Hey, don't underestimate ; you might not be able to beat ," Dean swung his fists confidently.

Thinking to himself, Luke thought, well in that case, I definitely can't spar with you.

"Maybe next ti, I'm a bit out of it today."

Dean pointed at Luke, "I think I've seen you sowhere before?"

"It's my first ti at the gym."

"I don't an here," Dean recalled carefully, "Are you a cop?"

"Looks like you have indeed seen before."

Dean's face lit up with excitent, "Yes, that's it! You're Detective Chief Luke, the lone hero from the Y High School shooting case I saw at the school entrance."

Luke smiled, "I'm no hero; I'm just a loser under your dad's command right now."

Hall said, "Luke, that na did sound familiar.

I saw the news too. Was it you who caught the shooter at my son's school? Why didn't you tell ?"

Luke shrugged, "I was just doing my duty."

"I want to thank you. I had my son learn boxing not only because he's interested and has talent but also in the hopes that he could protect himself. But boxing is no use in front of a gunman.

To express my gratitude, I won't charge you for the lessons."

Luke said, "Hall, I appreciate the sentint, but let's keep things separate; the tuition should be paid."

Hall insisted, "No, don't bring up tuition again.

Even if it's just a small contribution I can make for the police departnt, I feel it's more aningful than a donation. If you beco stronger at my gym, you can better protect the children at school.

I want to contribute to the kids at the school as well, and I insist on doing it this way."

"Thank you." Luke didn't say more, feeling a warm sense of appreciation in his heart.

It wasn't about the money, but the recognition and validation of his hard work and dedication in investigating cases.

That feeling was more important than money.

After chatting for a while, Luke was tired from the day's training and went ho, removing his protective gear.

When Dean was picking up the gear, he noticed an envelope left under Luke's gloves, "Dad, this was left by Luke."

As Hall looked, he saw six green bills inside the envelope.
