Kelly looked at the photo, "Isn't this the sa photo from before? I don't recognize her."
"Thank you."
Luke shook his head slightly, "The person we're looking for is probably not her."
Paul shrugged, "Then I'm of no help."
Luke continued, "Among the dancers who resigned in the past month, was there anyone who t those criteria?"
"Caucasian, blonde, 170cm..." Paul muttered a few words as if he rembered sothing, "There was soone like that, her na is Alyssa Moore, she quit last Saturday."
"When was the last ti you saw her?"
"Friday night, she was wearing a blue bikini, had a slim waist and long legs, really beautiful."
"Why did she resign?"
"I don't know."
"Didn't you ask her?"
"Saturday morning, I received her resignation text, that's it."
"I need her mobile number and ho address."
"I don't know where she lives, but her mobile number is 626 863 8532."
Luke dialed Alyssa's mobile number, and received a ssage that the phone was temporarily unavailable.
"Any other way to contact her?"
"No."
Luke countered, "Alyssa resigned via text, without talking face-to-face or calling, don't you find that strange?"
"This industry is like this, salaries are paid daily, there's not much of a commitnt. Many dancers don't want the people around them to know they work in this industry.
And many of them leave without saying a word, just disappear; I've seen too much of it, nothing surprises anymore."
"Does your club have anyone who was particularly close to Alyssa?"
"Alyssa wasn't very sociable, she usually left right after her performances and didn't interact much with the other dancers. I would occasionally invite her for a drink and chat a bit, that's about it."
"Do you know anything about her family situation?"
"No."
"Thank you." Luke stood up and shook hands with him.
"Is Alyssa the person you're looking for?"
"Not sure yet, thanks for your ti." Luke stood up to leave and left the club with Marcus.
Marcus asked, "Do you think Alyssa could also be a victim of the 'Taser Gun Robbery'?"
"That's a possibility." Luke sent a text on his phone, "Hey, Matthew, I need your help with a background check.
Alyssa Moore,
Mobile number, 626 863 8532.
Need all her details by tomorrow morning, thanks."
Marcus asked, "Buddy, where do we head to now?"
"Ho to sleep."
…
The following morning, nine o'clock.
Robbery and Murder Departnt.
Luke walked into the office yawning, "Morning, guys."
The deputy joked, "Luke, I heard you worked overti last night? That's rare."
Luke looked at Marcus, who grinned broadly.
David joked, "Working overti at that kind of club, really suits you."
"David, don't say I didn't call you, you chose not to go," Luke pulled up a chair and sat down, "Matthew, have you found out any information about Alyssa?"
"Yeah, I only saw the ssage this morning and got to the police station just after seven, I've had several cups of coffee already," Matthew handed over a docunt, "Here's what you asked for."
Luke looked over the docunt, "Yes, it's her."
The deputy chief took a cup of coffee, "What did you find at the club? Tell us about it."
David chuckled, "Or maybe you learned so dance moves, you could perform for us, I'm quite looking forward to it."
Luke stared at David's shiny bald head, wanting to smack him on the head.
"These days, I've been wondering why the suspect would remove the victim's clothes and leave behind the phrase 'youlike' at the scene. At first, I thought the suspect might have a peculiar fetish.
Or perhaps it was provoking the police.
Lately, I boldly guessed, what if 'youlike' wasn't taunting the police, but questioning the victim instead? "
Who likes to undress? Who would do such a thing in front of a crowd?"
While Luke was speaking, Susan walked out of the captain's office, motioning for Luke to continue.
"I checked the cri scenes of the 'Taser Gun Robbery Case', and indeed there's a strip club between the two scenes, the Boel Club.
I took Marcus with to the club, found a person nad Alyssa, a white female, about thirty years old, with long blonde hair, 170cm tall, last perford last Friday and texted her resignation on Saturday morning.
Her phone was unreachable."
At this point, Luke handed the docunt to Susan, "Afterwards, I asked Matthew to check Alyssa's profile, and found that Alyssa's phone had sent two texts on Saturday.
The first was a resignation text, 'Boss, I want to resign, I won't be coming anymore, thank you for your care during this ti.'
The next day a farewell text, 'Steven, I've had enough, I'm leaving here, leaving you. Don't contact again.'
After that, this phone number hasn't been used again."
"It's interesting," the deputy chief moved next to Susan to examine the docunts.
Jenny comnted, "Although Alyssa matches the appearance of the victim, the mode of operation is quite different, the first two victims were found by the police shortly after being robbed. Alyssa's case seems more like a disappearance or kidnapping."
Luke replied, "I've also thought about that, I've re-examined the cases, linking the situations of all three cases together. It feels like the first two cases were the suspect's practice, and Alyssa likely was the real target."
Susan asked, "Matthew, can we contact Alyssa?"
"No, Alyssa only has this phone number."
"To the conference room for a eting," Susan entered the conference room and placed the docunts on the projector.
Na, Alyssa
Date of birth, June 11, 1988
Family relations: husband, parents
Ho address, 106 Leanne Community, Los Angeles
David pointed at the projector, "Alyssa sent the texts on Saturday, and today is Wednesday, four days have passed.
If Alyssa was kidnapped, her parents and husband should have called the police."
Matthew stated, "There's no police report filed about Alyssa."
The deputy chief analyzed, "From Alyssa's texts, it appears she didn't ssage her parents—it's either they knew about her departure, or she didn't communicate much with them.
As for the one nad Steven, he's likely her husband, and from the content of the texts, it doesn't seem like their relationship was good."
It's even possible that Alyssa left because of him."
"It's worth checking into Alyssa's situation, whether she's a victim of the 'Taser Gun Robbery Case' or not, her current situation isn't good."
"Luke, well done," Susan comnded, then instructed, "Raymond, contact the tech team to locate Alyssa's phone location.
David, Luke, you'll go to Alyssa's ho to investigate.
Matthew, find out the contact details and address of Alyssa's husband and parents.
Everyone else, be on standby."
"Yes, captain."
